I think Never Say Never showed hope and I think Believe is how you get back up when you fall down and really that story of what’s going on behind the scenes. People don’t get to see me living as a 19-year-old boy I’m still finding myself and when I have the media attacking me everyday, it’s no [different] than bullying that happens in school I think this movie really shows who I am as a person of course I make mistakes growing up and I’m not perfect people forget I’m a human being [and] I have to make mistakes and grow stronger.

I think my best Christmas gift I ever got was when my parents surprised me with my go-kart inside my playhouse. I had no idea! I got all my gifts for Christmas and I didn’t get the Go-kart, so I was a little bummed. So, we went inside my playhouse to put all my gifts inside my playhouse and my go-kart was in there. I was so excited! I was ecstatic.

The Trevor Project is a great organization and we’re dealing with suicidal teens primarily from the LGBT community and it’s a hotline they’ve had forever and they have a website TrevorProject.org but what’s exciting is they’ve also added texting let’s say you’re being bullied and you’re maybe not in the situation where you have the privacy to make a call, you can send a text or email and get help that way.

I had no idea what I was going to be doing. Thank the lord for my husband. He’s been my saving grace. He grew up with little sisters. He’s teaching me everything. When we first started dating we talked about that and I said, “How many kids do you want to have?” And he said, “Like five!” And I really liked him and I was like, “I have to tell you something, I really like you, but my limit for kids is two, so if we want to keep this going on this way that we’re going (I need you to bring that down).” We negotiated so two was the number (we came to).

The movie is really very funny, but it’s also very dramatic and touching. There’s a lot of tension in it. And it’s very rare you have under one film the ability to go back and forth and so it really makes it kind of a roller coaster ride. The movie is ultimately, I think, sort of kind of your hopes and fears as a parent. But, it’s also really a movie as a young person when you’re at the age of starting to enter your adult life and you can feel so alone in an experience.

Women have to be prepared to meet men anywhere. I find the biggest problem that women have is they don’t know how to give a license to a guy any more. I say a 100 years ago when a woman walked past a guy, she made a move. And women (now) say, “I’m old-fashioned. I don’t make the first move.” But (back then) when she walked past a guy and dropped a handkerchief and kept walking, and he saw the handkerchief and thought, “This is a great opportunity’ and they have a conversation. So when women say to me (now), “I’m old-fashioned. I don’t make the first move.” I say, “Well, you’re not old-fashioned. Women have been doing this for centuries. You just need to learn how again.”

I thought we were great friends and I’ve really been supportive and loved her and as far as I’m concerned really loyal to her and really kind of stuck my neck out [So I was] shocked and disappointed to be honest.

Literally my whole life is revolving around this tour right now. Diane Martel and I, we’re putting together this tour that’s going to be insane. The minute you step into my arena, the whole thing feels like your a part of this crazy different world and you step in to a show the minute you walk in the door, rather than it being a show when I come onstage. I just want the whole arena to always have a vibe and it to be fun and be a totally different experience and nothing that’s obviously traditional.
