My wife, my son and I went on a European vacation. Three or four days walking around London. Three or four days walking around Paris. Three or four days walking around Munich. My knees were so swollen. My ankle has been operated on. It’s got a plate, screws in it. My body just couldn’t take walking eight to 10 miles a day. What are you gonna do? Now that you’ve got the time and you’ve got the funds to see the world with your family, you don’t have a body that can participate in anything.

Shining Wizards interview

Interview0 Comments

Clay talks to Shining Wizards about his storyline with Xavier Woods being dropped from WWE television.

Honestly, I knew about as much as you guys did about the whole process, to be honest with you. I was already frustrated and the walls of communication had already broken down between me and creative. I don’t think anyone really benefited from that angle. It was just confusing. It was just one of those things, and obviously it led to the release. It was just weird.

I realize I’m one of the older guys in the locker room, and I’m 5-foot-10. These young bucks are 27 years old and 250 pounds,” said Marella. That way I’d be able to stay on the program and entertain people and be an even bigger part of the show . . . I’m definitely winding down

Clay sits down with Wrestling 101 to discuss working for Vince McMahon in WWE and his run in NXT.

Clay talks about returning to WWE in 2010:

When I returned in 2010 and went back to FCW it was a completely different place. During my original run we were training in a basement with no air conditioning and everybody relied on each other. When I came back there was a state of the art TV studio, three rings, and all kinds of trainers and writers, it was completely different, I didn’t recognise the place. Steve Keirn along with Norman Smiley and Dr. Tom did a really good job of turning that place around and making it into something special.

WWE Magazine interview

Cesaro talks to WWE Magazine about Vince McMahon, Twitter and Wrestlemania.

You shouldn’t say things on social media that you wouldn’t say to someone’s face. People hide behind fake names to Tweet negative comments and I hate that. If you have something to say, own up to it.

VOC Nation interview

Interview0 Comments

Clay speaks to VOC Nation about social media and his favorite gimmick.

Funkasaurus. It was a lot of fun. That was a chance to do a character that hadn’t been done in a really long time. Probably not since Junkyard Dog. and to bring fans back into the ring, the interaction, to make them part of it, I enjoyed that. That’s something that I’m always glad I took that risk. I can be tough any day of the week and honestly, the way in America, if you stare at people, you’re automatically tough.

Hayes sits down with Slam! Wrestling to discuss the modern scope of WWE television.

I don’t understand why kids don’t try to go out and perfect promos and talk that talk, and walk that walk, because everybody wants to be entertained. As fans, your lives are so hard working so you can to feed your kids, feed your wives, or whatever, and you want to escape and you don’t want to pay to see Bob the next door neighbour. And when everybody else is able to do these triple moonsaults then it’s not that special.

Looking at the field there’s a lot of guys who are going to take risks, I think a lot of people might think I might be one of those guys. But in this scenario, what I’m going to do I think is let the other guys take their risks and when they crash and burn I’m just going to climb that ladder, snatch that contract and be the man for the next year!

RVAMag.com interview

Ambrose sits down for an interview with RVAMag.com. He discusses Money in the Bank and Seth Rollins.

You know, it’s one of those things where a lot is at stake and you might have to take a big risk to get up that ladder. There’s a lot in play. Lots of metal, high heights, and a lot of players in the game. It’s a very unpredictable situation. You just have to go into with no fear and no reservations. You just have to go for it. You got to pick your spots and be smart though.
