Trump proposals ‘Are Violations of International Human Rights Law’

Makes Statement0 Comments

amalclooney1At a Texas women’s’ conference, Clooney talks about president-elect Trump.

We have to hope for the best. The president-elect has said that fighting ISIS is actually a priority … so it may be that there can be progress, and obviously everyone has to respect the outcome of the democratic process here, and we have to hope for the best. [However, Trump’s comments] that there should be a religious test imposed on entering the U.S. or the fact that there should be state-sponsored torture or that families of suspected terrorists should all be killed — all of those things are violations of international human rights law and the values that underlie that…I think there’s some concern from abroad as to are these things actually going to happen, or is the U.S. going to lose some of the moral standing that it has internationally.

She also talks about women’s rights:

The worst thing that we can do as women is not stand up for each other, and this is something we can practice every day, no matter where we are and what we do — women sticking up for other women, choosing to protect and celebrate each other instead of competing or criticizing one another.

White: Trump may attend UFC 205

Makes Statement0 Comments

White says Trump told him he would attend UFC 205 if he won the election.

Donald originally told me he that would come to the fight, if he won. I don’t think Donald really realised what his duties were going to be had he won. I think he’s meeting with Obama today and then I don’t know. We’ll see, man. Listen, no pressure to come … but it wouldn’t suck if he came.

He also says the family contacted him after the win.

His family reached out to me that night. I was in my hotel room, you know, watching the results, and they had, they had me come down to the (victory) party. So i went to the party, that night and, they’ve been very good to me, so good luck to him.

Compares Trump to McGregor

Interview0 Comments

Cerrone talks about meeting Trump at one of his rallies.

I was out hunting and Tim Kennedy called and said the Secret Service called and said ‘Trump wants to meet us, I need to clear you on a background check’, and I said ‘oh f-ck’..So we went down to the rally and got to bullshit with him…[Backstage] was crazy wild. It was cool just talking to Trump. He was talking about the UFC…It was cool to listen to his points. He’s not just like a racist bigot, y’know…I understand that’s what your aunt’s telling you when she’s drinking wine on a Saturday night, but that’s no really what’s happening. We have two options. Do we go with the indicted girl who’s full of shit, or do we go for the wild Conor McGregor Trump? For all those people out there listening – go vote!..I wish they could teach politics in school more, and gets kids more involved ‘cos it’s our generation that needs to take on things and get involved. I voted for Trump and I voted for pot. I really wanted to check out his toupee. But y’know [Trump] is trying to bring money to the middle class, which most of the guys that fight for the UFC and support the UFC. Trying to bring the tax bracket down to 15% for these guys.

Criticizes Michelle Obama’s Clinton support

Makes Statement0 Comments

Trump criticizes Obama for her support of Clinton, drawing attention to comments she made in 2008 that were critical of Clinton.

I see how much [Michelle Obama] likes Hillary. But wasn’t she the one that originally started the statement, ‘If you can’t take care of your home,’ right? ‘You can’t take care of the White House or the country?’ Where’s that? I don’t hear that. I don’t hear that.

The Obama campaign says the line, “If you can’t run your own house, you certainly can’t run the White House,” was not directed at the Clintons and instead referred to their own struggle with parenting during a campaign.

Reaffirms support for Trump

Makes Statement0 Comments

Mercer and his daughter Rebekah say they will continue to support the candidate.

If Mr. Trump had told Billy Bush, whoever that is, earlier this year that he was for open borders, open trade, and executive actions in pursuit of gun control, we would certainly be rethinking our support for him. If he had admitted to Mr. Bush that he had profited privately by allowing the sale to Russia of 20% of US uranium deposits or that he had amassed his personal fortune not by hard work in the private sector but by selling favors to foreigners on the American taxpayers’ dime, we would certainly be rethinking our support for him. If he had argued that he needed both a public and a private position on issues facing the American public, we would certainly be rethinking our support for him. And finally if Trump had serially terrorized and silenced the victims of violent sexual assault whom he feared could damage his political career, we would most definitely be rethinking our support for him…Can anyone really be surprised that Mr. Trump could have said to Mr. Bush such things as he has already admitted saying? No. We are completely indifferent to Mr. Trump’s locker room braggadocio…We have a country to save and there is only one person who can save it. We, and Americans across the country and around the world, stand steadfastly behind Donald J. Trump

Obama ‘tired of talking about Trump’

Makes Statement0 Comments

At a $10,000-a-head fundraiser for Hillary Clinton on Martha’s Vineyard, President Obama says he is tired of talking about Trump.

You notice I haven’t said much about her opponent. Frankly, I’m tired of talking about her opponent. I don’t have to make the case against her opponent because every time he talks he makes the case against his own candidacy…This has been an unpredictable election season. Not only because of anxieties and concerns that the American people have, but also because of the changing nature of the media and voting patterns. There’s still a lot of uncertainty out there. And if we are not running scared until the day after the election, we are going to be making a grave mistake.

Chicago was ‘planned attack,’ blames Sanders

Gives Talk0 Comments

At a rally in Vandalia, OH, Trump says that the protests in Chicago were a “planned attack”.

All of a sudden a planned attack, just came out of nowhere. It was printed by people who were professional protestors. A disgrace if you want to know the truth…The people that came there, that were invited there, thousands and thousands of people. They caused no problem. They were taunted, they were harassed. These other people…by the way, some represented Bernie, our communist friend. Now really, Bernie should tell his people…There weren’t too many Hillary people there. You know why? In all fairness to Bernie, the reason there weren’t any Hillary people is they have no fervour  Say what you want about Bernie, but at least they have a little bit of fervour. So he should really get up and say to his people to “stop, stop”. Not me, they said “Mr Trump should get up this morning and tell his people to be nice”. My people are nice. My people are great.

During a joint appearance at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club resort Palm Beach, Florida, Carson formally endorses the GOP frontrunner.

We buried the hatchet. That was political stuff…I have found in talking with him, that there’s a lot more alignment, philosophically and spiritually, than I ever thought that there was.

Trump says Carson has not asked for any formal role, and praises his former rival’s ideas on education.

Ben’s going to have a big, big part.
