Employee meltdown
An employee at a St. Paul, Minnesota restaurant throws a tantrum after he is fired, in full view of customers. He goes on a profanity laced rant while damaging restaurant property. The worker seems to be upset because he is not being compensated for services rendered:
give me my (expletive) pay!
He eventually leaves the restaurant after having been asked to by the manager.
Fires Sapp
The NFL Network fires Sapp following his arrest for soliciting prostitution. NFL Network spokesperson Alex Riethmiller:
Warren Sapp’s contract has been terminated and he no longer works for NFL Network.
Bears fire Trestman, Emery
The Chicago Bears fire head coach Marc Trestman and general manager Phil Emery after a 5-11 season. Trestman statement:
I also want to thank all the coaches and players who gave us everything we asked over the past two years. I have tremendous respect for this organization. Chicago is a special city with great fans. I appreciate the warm support my family and I received.

Jets fire Ryan, Idzik
The New York Jets fire head coach Rex Ryan and general manager John Idzik. Owner Woody Johnson’s statement:
Both Rex and John made significant contributions to the team, and they have my appreciation and gratitude for their efforts and commitment. Over the years, Rex brought the Jets a bold confidence and a couple of great postseason runs, which all of us will remember.
Release from WWE
Del Rio is released by WWE for unprofessional conduct during an altercation with a fellow employee. Further details have not been released. WWE declines to comment on the situation.
Releases five performers
WWE comes to terms with the release of five wrestlers from the NXT brand. Garrett Dylan, Travis Tyler, Slate Randall, Mac Miles, and Dani Jax all part ways with the company.
Releases 55 Employees
After announcing a 7% staff cut, the company releases 55 employees from varying departments within WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. Sources say Vince McMahon sent out an email to announce the end of the staff reduction process.

WWE releases Rodriguez. He had been with the company since August of 2010 when he debuted alongside Alberto Del Rio on the Smackdown brand.

Resigns over offensive comments
Rap Genius co-founder Moghadam resigns after posting a series of annotations on the site’s copy of Roger’s 41-page manifesto. Moghadam comments include “beautifully written” and comments about Rodger’s sister:

Baldwin: LaBeouf was fired
In a statement to Joe Hagan, Baldwin reveals the reason behind LaBeouf’s hasty exit from Orphans. The actor corroborates that the two had “creative differences,” but goes on to say that the younger actor was ultimately fired. Baldwin says he knew one of them had to go and even volunteered to leave the play rather than LaBeouf.
I said, ‘I’ll tell you what, I’ll go.’ I said don’t fire the kid, I’ll quit. They said no, no, no, no, and they fired him. And I think he was shocked.
Fired after Keys reveals private messages
Keller is let go as director of social media for Bloomberg Businessweek after Keys tweets two-month-old private messages from Keller in apparent retaliation for Keller leaking a conversation to Gizmodo in March, when news of Keys’s indictment first broke. In the DMs Keller says, “I f-cking hate it here,” and disparages his employer.

Keys says his independent coverage of the events of the Boston marathon, where he tweeted information from police scanners that ended up being incorrect, was one of the reasons he was given for his termination.
I assume they were looking for an out…It’s my understanding that Reuters did not agree with some of the coverage I did on my own during the Boston Marathon events from last week. And they have a specific set of reasons for the termination which I don’t agree with and the union that represents me does not agree with. We are in agreement, the union and myself, that I have done nothing wrong, that the basis for the termination is incorrect and doesn’t hold any water.
Fired
The actor is fired from Two and a Half Men. The actor says:

Leaves Fox 40
After two and a half years at Fox 40, Keys is pulled up by his boss for criticizing the station’s coverage of a fire at a local mall, from his personal Twitter account. Keys tells his boss that he wants to exert his right to say what he wanted on his personal Twitter feed. His boss tells him to go home and not to work over the weekend. Keys says he cannot guarantee that, and never returns to work. Keys is terminated. He retains the passwords for the company’s content management system.
