Found unresponsive at Nevada brothel
Odom is hospitalized after he is found unconscious at the Love Ranch in Crystal, Nevada, about 70 miles outside of Las Vegas. Odom is stabilized and taken to Desert View Hospital in nearby Pahrump. Officials then try to have him flown to a Las Vegas hospital, but he is too tall for the helicopter that was available and he is driven by ambulance.

Buys VW scandal film rights
DiCaprio’s production company Appian Way and Paramount Pictures buy the film rights to an as-yet-unwritten book about the VW scandal, where the company admitted that 11 million of its diesel vehicles worldwide are fitted with software that beat emission tests. The book will be written by Ewing, a New York Times journalist, and it will reportedly explore the “more, better, faster” ethos and how it played into the scandal. It is not known whether DiCaprio will star in the film.

Admitted to hospital
After falling ill in Glasgow, Cafferkey is flown to London by military aircraft and admitted to the specialist treatment isolation unit at Royal Free Hospital in London.
We can confirm that Pauline Cafferkey was transferred from the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow to the Royal Free London hospital in the early hours of this morning due to an unusual late complication of her previous infection by the Ebola virus. She will now be treated in isolation in the hospital’s high-level isolation unit under nationally agreed guidelines. The Ebola virus can only be transmitted by direct contact with the blood or bodily fluids of an infected person while they are symptomatic, so the risk to the general public remains low.

Homeless woman found dead at HK store
Police are trying to confirm the identity of a homeless woman who was found dead in a 24-hour McDonald’s outlet at a public housing estate in Kowloon Bay. The woman, aged around 50 to 60 years, was found slumped over her table in a quiet corner, 24 hours after she entered the restaurant at Ping Shek Estate, while other customers were unaware what had happened. McDonald’s says that the woman had not ordered any food, but staff noticed she was moving, and had asked for water from the counter.

There are probably 550 pictures, so there will be at least two books. One will be called American Beauty, and it’s all waterfalls and beautiful canyon shots. It’s really spectacular. And the other will be places I’ve been and things I’ve seen, and it’ll be pictures from China, Africa, Europe, Switzerland — over the Alps in a helicopter.
