‘Amber Alert’ system introduced

Facebook Canada release a system to send out notices and photos to assist in child abduction cases. A similar system has been working for the past four months in the United States.

[We hope that] the new system would help turn the social network community in Canada into one big neighbourhood watch.

I think there is much more positive to this than negative. This is to help locate children, this could save a child’s life, even 1 in 50 going missing, is still 1 life saved because Facebook can reach to so many in such a short time. This is not a piece of noise people miss, I don’t anyway..
