Moves to private room

Remains on life support

Family considers lawsuit
It will take until Tuesday (Sept 2) to bring Rivers out of a medically induced coma. Melissa Rivers is considering suing the clinic due to possible lost motor skills that her mother will face. Source:
There is real concern that the part of the brain that controls motor skills may have been compromised, leaving her as either a vegetable or in a wheelchair.
On life support

Rushed to hospital in critical condition
Rivers is hospitalized after she stops breathing during throat surgery at Yorkville Endoscopy clinic on East 93rd Street, New York. She is rushed to Mount Sinai hospital after a 911 caller reports somebody in either cardiac or respiratory arrest. Her daughter, Melissa Rivers is by her side. Hospital spokesman Sid Dinsay:
This morning, Joan Rivers was taken to The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where she is being attended to. Her family wants to thank everybody for their outpouring of love and support. We will provide an update on her condition as it becomes available.

Rivers tells the Sunday Times magazine that she will bans Michelle Obama, Adele and Handler from attending her funeral.

Rivers publishes Diary of a Mad Diva, a satirical rift on diary writing. She lambasts Anne Frank and Sylvia Plath, as well as celebrities and royalty. Based on the premise that her daughter gave her a diary for Christmas, Rivers wonders “who the hell does Melissa think she is? That fat pig, Bridget Jones?”
