McGregor says he is delighted Rousey is joining WWE.
I’m delighted for her, absolutely over the moon for her. She looked like she really enjoyed herself at the event, and I was very, very happy to see her. She’s a pioneer for the game, and she’s came through it all and faced big wins, and big, big losses. And she came through it. And it’s great to see her represent herself and mixed martial arts and have fun in WWE.
Johnson to Rousey: ‘You got your ass beat, grow the f-ck up’
When Johnson is asked about his winning streak and the possibility of losing, he brings up Rousey.
You look at Ronda Rousey. You got your ass beat, grow the f-ck up. It happens. It’s mixed martial arts. I don’t want to be like that. If I lose, I’ll be like, I lost…Everybody f-cking loses. It’s part of the sport. Grow up. Look, Ronda, you lost two f-cking fights in a row, and you made more f-cking money than the women’s roster. You’ll be fine, don’t worry about it.

White not expecting Rousey to return to UFC
At the UFC 210 post-fight media scrum, White says he is not expecting Rousey to return to the UFC.
Ronda and I talk maybe once a week, once every two weeks. She has not said anything to me about a comeback…If I had to guess, I would guess that she would not come back.
Holm doesn’t think she ‘broke’ Rousey
Holm is asked about her win’s effect on Rousey:
I’m one of those that, I’m a firm believer in the fact that once a fighter, always a fighter. She might not ever want to fight again. She might not fight for two years, and then she might say, ‘You know what? I’m really egging for it. I want to get back in there, I really want to fight. I’ve had enough of this regular life business.’ You know? Here’s what I think about [her being broken] and a lot of people have asked me about that ever since she had that fight with Nunes. Coming off of a knockout, [whether it’s] Ronda or anybody else — I’m not saying it’s just her, it’s just fighters — you come off of a knockout it is very, very hard mentally and emotionally. You second-guess yourself. I remember when I got knocked out, every time I would spar for the first two weeks, every time I would get hit, I would be like, am I OK? Yeah, I think I’m OK. Am I OK? Yeah, I think I’m okay. You really second guess yourself a lot.
Coach: Holm ‘broke’ Rousey

I can’t see [Rousey returning to fight] happening now. Yeah, it just absolutely can’t happen. I think Holly broke (Rousey). I think Ronda was on top of the world and Holly broke her because when she came out for Amanda she just wasn’t the same fighter by any means. Not taking anything away from Amanda, but Ronda, she didn’t have anything, she just wasn’t there. She was just basically waiting for the end in essence once she couldn’t find a way to grab her. And she did the same thing she’s done before in the past, reaching out with her left arm and trying to corral. It was just a one-sided fight just like I said. I think she’s done.
Browne: ‘I don’t know’ if Rousey will fight again
Browne, Rousey’s boyfriend, says he doesn’t know if she will fight again.
She’s doing great and she’s in a good place. For me, I have a fight Feb. 19 and that’s all that matters. I don’t know [Rousey’s fighting future]. Her and I haven’t really had that talk. That’s going to be her decision she has got to make. Honestly, I don’t know. When the time comes, she’s going to do it her way. That’s what people that support her I think will appreciate. She’ll do it like she did everything else: Her way.
Nunes issues public apology to Rousey
Nunes issues an apology to Rusey over things she said after their fight.
Let me take a moment to explain myself. I was overwhelmed with adrenaline, emotion and hurt at the time. I held so much in during the weeks prior to my fight with Ronda. I might have said or posted some things at the time that I now realize was not the right thing to do. I want to apologize to Ronda. Her fans and mine and the UFC as well. Ronda is an amazing athlete and has done so much for this sport, especially for the women.

White: Rousey is ‘probably done’ fighting
White says Rousey will probably not fight again.
In the conversation I had with her, if I had to say right here right now – again I don’t like saying right here right now because it’s up to her – but I would’t say she fights again. I think she’s probably done. She’s going to ride off into the sunset and start living her life outside of fighting…And then once she lost, she started to say to herself, ‘What the f*ck am I doing? This is my whole life. This is it? I want to experience and start doing other things.’ And I think that’s what she started to do, and she’s got a lot of money. She’s never going to need money again….I’m happy for her. She came in and changed the world. She put female fighting on the map. She’s been part of the biggest fights in the history of women’s fighting, and I hope those records can be broken. I don’t know if they can, but I hope they do.
Pena: Rousey threatened to sue sparring partners ‘for a million dollars’
Pena says Rousey threatened to sue her sparring partners if any of them leaked information about her training methods, and also has a clause blocking her partners from hitting her during the training sessions.
She’s not allowed to get hit in sparring. These girls have to sign these waivers to say that ‘We never hit Ronda, and we’ll never talk about this type of training ever and all this stuff, you know? She’s not really taking the toll in the fight camp of getting punched in the face legitimately so she doesn’t really know what that feels like. She’s a superstar and they don’t want to see her get any damage. So, it’s like whenever the girls would go hard on her, whenever they’d come forward and start banging it out on her, they’d tell them, ‘Hey. Knock it off. Stop it. Don’t hit her so hard and then sign this waiver and say that you were never here and that you never punched her. Don’t ever talk about how well you did in training and stuff like that because you have to sign this dotted line or else we’ll sue you for a million dollars.
Reigns: Rousey can succeed in WWE
Reigns says Rousey can succeed in WWE.
I think she’s one of those athletes that gets that attention and all eyes are on her. So I think she definitely has the background, and she’s got the base to build on, so she’s got a great foundation.
Nunes: Rousey can come back
Nunes, speaking of her own experience in past defeats, says Rousey can come back.
I already passed this moment in my career. It’s harder to lose but if you be strong, you’ll be able to come back like I did. Make some changes, adjust. The passion in her life, the family has to be with her. The base is very important. Make some changes in her camp, move to another gym and come back strong.
She also says she was surprised Rousey continued to trade blows with her.

Mayweather: I’ll coach Rousey if she’s willing
When asked if he could help Rousey improve her hand work, Mayweather says:

Rousey has previously criticized Mayweather over domestic violence. Mayweather also talks about spending $250,000 in a jewelers, and investing.

Rogan: Rousey likely won’t return to fighting
Rogan says Rousey will most likely not return to fighting,
I don’t think she is [going to fight again]. Amanda Nunes is a very, very dangerous puncher. She kicks and punches so f-cking hard, and she has long arms. She puts you on the end of those long punches, and she dinged Ronda very early in the fight, and you could tell she was rocked…If she does, she should come back in a calculated manner. Don’t just rush in and fight for the title like she did. I think that’s crazy. Taking a year off taking a head kick getting knocked out – where’s your head at? Was she 100 percent committed to this as far as training for the entire time off, or did she just get in really good shape over the last few months and had she been training at all before then? You’d have to ask her and answer all those questions, but if she doesn’t want to be fighting, she shouldn’t be fighting.

Nunes: Rousey ‘has always been overrated’
Nunes says Rousey is overrated.
I don’t know how Ronda Rousey went too far in this division. Honest. I don’t know how those girls lost to Ronda Rousey. I knew since my first fight in UFC, that I can beat Ronda Rousey. That day was the day to prove to everybody that I could do it…She is [overrated] for sure.
Tarverdyan: ‘It doesn’t matter what people say’
When a reporter asks about people saying he was not the right coach, Tarverdyan replies:

Rousey’s mother wants to kill her coach
Rousey’s mother says Tarverdyan, her daughter’s coach, is the reason for her losses, and that she is not impressed with the way he uses Rousey to lure people to his gym. She has also told her daughter she will not keep quiet about this anymore.
I think Edmond is a terrible coach and I will say it publicly. I think he’s a terrible coach I think he hit the lottery when Ronda walked in, he knew she was winning before she ever met him. She probably won 99% of the Judo matches she ever fought in, she’d won the Junior worlds when she was 17. I would caution anyone from going there, and I think it’s bad he uses her to lure people in and the reason I tell everybody and I told Ronda I’m not going to be quiet about this anymore…[He’s] a piece of shit…I will tell you this every time I go into his gym he says what he used to say ‘How are you?’ and I say ‘How the f-ck do you think I am, I’m in your f-cking gym, I f-cking hate you’, Yes I hate him, I would run over him with my car if he wasn’t Ronda’s, I hate that guy he’s like the most worthless human being god ever put on this earth.
Jones: Rousey should ‘try again’
Jones, currently on a one year suspension for a failed drug test, says Rousey should pick herself up and try again.
My advice to Ronda would be to pick yourself up and try again.I think it’s important for Ronda to show her fans how great she truly is by displaying her courage and giving it another try. What she does next will truly determine her legacy. I really hope she chooses to be … unbroken. Her story doesn’t have to be over here. I also still believe she beats 90 (percent) of the division. Lots of ass kicking still to be done, lots of money to be made…Maybe she just needs to complement her coach with an MMA family. Maybe she should join one of the bigger MMA teams. … Being around other bad asses and constantly sharing your spotlight could be good for you (in) so many ways. They can improve on your humility.

I want to say thank you to all of my fans who have been there for me in not only the greatest moments but in the most difficult ones. Words cannot convey how much your love and support means to me. Returning to not just fighting, but winning, was my entire focus this past year. However, sometimes — even when you prepare and give everything you have and want something so badly — it doesn’t work how you planned. I take pride in seeing how far the women’s division has come in the UFC and commend all the other women who have been part of making this possible, including Amanda. I need to take some time to reflect and think about the future. Thank you for believing in me and understanding.
Mother urges Rousey to retire
Rousey’s mother, AnnMaria De Mars, says she would like to see her daughter retire, and has not changed her negative opinion on Rousey’s coach.
I think she’s sad and disappointed like anybody would be in the circumstances…I think making snap decisions like [retirement] that is probably not the best idea, so I don’t know, but I would like to see her retire. I would like to have seen her retire a long time ago. Who wants to see their kid get hit? She’s got a lot of talent in a lot of other things. She could do movies, writing, producing. She’s really really smart and beautiful. I told her that at the very beginning when she started this, I said you’re smart and beautiful, let the stupid people get punched in the face…I haven’t changed my opinion on her trainer.
