Bella vs Bella announcement
WWE announces Bella vs Bella match for the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. An added stipulation is that the loser of the match must become the winner’s personal assistant. Nikki comments:
I’m going to do more than prove who the better Bella is. Because the loser in our match? Is going to be the winner’s bitch for the next month. Oh, and Brie? For future reference – I prefer my lattes with almond milk.
The Best in the World at What I Have No Idea
Jericho releases the third book in his memoir series. The book follows the latest chapters in Jericho’s musical and wrestling careers.
Maybe before they’ve read the first one they might wonder why you’d need another, but it’s easy to see you’ve experienced a lot of very strange things in your life and career that no one else has.
Comments on older wrestlers
Ross updates the blog on his website and discusses the WWE Network, celebrities on wrestling shows and WWE using older stars.
WWE would be wise to consider hiring a handful of seasoned veterans to work with their highly regarded younger talents if for nothing else a short term IE one year contract. Young talents cannot get better working with those who are not better than the rookies.
Alternativenation.net interview
Bischoff talks to Alternativenation.net about Randy Savage, Vince McMahon and comparing a Cena heel turn to Hulk Hogan’s in the 1990’s.
You’ve got to put everything in the proper context. There were no NWO shirts for sale before I turned Hulk Hogan heel. One disadvantage I had when I launched Nitro, compared to WWE, is that they had very sophisticated licensing and merchandise, WCW didn’t have any. This is one of the reasons I had to guarantee contracts, because if I didn’t guarantee how much money somebody was going to make, there was no chance in hell they were going to make enough to live off of if it was in part based on licensing and merchandising that didn’t exist. It is what it is, and was what it was, based on what I inherited, when I inherited it. But it was also an advantage, because I didn’t have to risk the same type of financial impact that for example WWE might be analyzing, ‘Okay, what happens if John Cena merchandise goes away?’ I didn’t have that challenge, because I wasn’t making any anyways. I had nowhere to go but up.
Newsday.com interview
Jericho talks to Newsday.com about his feud with Shawn Michaels in 2008.
Wow, what a story,” Jericho said. “Every week there was something new and monumental and cool. We had perfect chemistry, Shawn and I. And the storyline was off the charts, especially after SummerSlam (when Jericho accidentally punched Michaels’ wife in an angle). She really got punched. He and I were mortified about what happened, but in retrospect, it just took that angle to a completely different world. It was something you can’t plan… Obviously, it was the last thing either one of us wanted to happen. But she was OK, and we realized, that’s the best thing that could have happened.

Newsday.com interview
Henry talks to Newsday.com about finally being given a World Heavyweight Title run late in his career and how he felt about that time.
I was fed up with mediocrity. I wanted to show strength that most people are afraid to bring out. It was hard for me to come down from that. I would leave the arena completely exhausted — physically, mentally and emotionally. I’d make myself angry to the point that it was sickening. And I realized when I started doing that, that a lot of it was real frustration. I was tired of being trivialized. I was tired of being made the butt of the joke. I was going to retire. I was tired of it. And when I voiced that opinion, with that kind of anger, it was like, ‘Damn, if you’re going to be angry like that, then put it in the ring. Don’t just say it. Do it.’ And that’s what happened. I started living it. And it was the best time of my career.
Featured in Forbes
Wrestlemania is featured in Forbes Fab 40, a compilation of most valuable sports brands. Wrestlemania makes the list at number eight.
A new member among Fab 40 events is WrestleMania, an annually staged event put on by WWE, the most successful professional wrestling promotion in the world. The WrestleMania brand is worth $105 million by my calculations, placing it eighth among sporting events. In April, Wrestlemania 30 broke the record for the Mercedes-Benz Superdome’s highest grossing entertainment event, marking the fifth-consecutive year WrestleMania broke the host venue’s single day revenue record.
Wrestling INC interview
Vader talks to Wrestling INC about his career in WWE and being promised a WWE title reign.
You know what, the title was promised to me two times. I was supposed to be a two-time heavyweight champion. If I did the job for Shawn at SummerSlam, and then something would happen and I’d get it then give it to somebody else, take it back and then give it back to Shawn in San Antonio. Instead, somehow that got changed around.
WWE.com interview
Kenta speaks to WWE.com about NXT, his ring name and his goals in WWE.
I want to be a World Champion and I would like to compete at a WrestleMania. It’s funny because the thought of making it here first popped into my head about 10 years ago. Around 2003, 2004, I thought about walking away from wrestling and then I attended a WWE show in Japan. From that point forward, I was re-inspired to make it.
Miami Herald interview
Dallas talks to The Miami Herald about NXT and his character.
It just kind of morphed to what it is. Bouncing off my original debut in the Royal Rumble, it just kind of morphed into this in NXT. I saw something, and we just kept on adding to it. There was no moment where I was like, “This is what it’s going to be. It’s going to be inspirational.” My persona is forever changing and being what it is today comes out of sheer just trying different things.
Miami Herald interview
Wyatt talks to The Miami Herald about his team mates and wrestling The Undertaker.
Bray Wyatt versus The Undertaker would be the greatest I could accomplish. Just being there side-by-side with him. I get the comparisons, but we are also very different. He is ‘The Deadman.’ He will always be ‘The Deadman,’ and I’m Bray Wyatt. When or if, or when we shall meet, it will be every bit of everything I thought it would be.
Royal Rumble 2015 location announcement
WWE announces to attendees of Friday Night Smackdown’s 15th Anniversary Show that the 2015 Royal Rumble event will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 25th, 2015.
MLB appearance
Bryan appears at San Francisco Giants game to lead the crowd in a pre-game “Yes” chant. Bryan comments:
It’s crazy. I’m just some small-town guy from Aberdeen, Washington just doing my wrestling thing. You see it (Yes chants) being done by 40,000 people and you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh!’ It was awesome
WWE return
Johnson returns to WWE on Monday Night Raw to confront Rusev and Lana in the midst of their anti-American promo. Johnson attacks Rusev, forcing him to flee from the ring.
Ring Rust Radio interview
Rose is a guest on Ring Rust Radio to discuss The Rosebuds and his quick start in WWE.
When Adam Rose finally did finally step foot within the WWE the whole point was to make an impact, to be different, and to bring something that has never been brought before. To bring the party to the WWE and that’s exactly what we’ve done with the Exotic Express of course, my party party full of all my happy Rosebuds who want nothing more than to have a good time.
Slam! Wrestling interview
Natalya talks to Slam! Wrestling about the McMahon family and giving wrestling everything she has.
It’s so great to say, ‘No matter what I’m given, I’m going to make it great.’ I’m going to pass gas, maybe I had too many protein bars that morning. I’m sorry, but as a Diva, I’m going to eat a lot of protein, and if I’m going to do that, then I’m going to look like a rockstar doing that, dressed to the nines in vintage couture and I’m going to make it gold.
MMANews.com interview
Ross talks to MMANews.com about NJPW, Global Force Wrestling and life after leaving WWE.
I’m doing my podcast, I’m in entrepreneurial mode right now. I don’t do a lot of things that conflict with OU football, but I’m doing my podcast, it’s doing really well. We manage about half a million downloads per week and it’s growing. I’m in the process of working on my autobiography, that should be done by spring or summer 2015. I’m doing some writing for FOX, we’re talking to FOX about maybe doing some more boxing play-by-play, which I had fun doing, I’m a big boxing fan. My point is, if I like projects
Sportingnews.com interview
Morris talks to Sportingnews.com about NXT, WWE 2K15 and Triple H.
It’s (WWE 2K15) unbelievable. It’s the red wall. You see our banners. You see the seven rings. You’re in the performance center with us, with me, and that’s an honor. I love the fact that the performance center is represented and I get to represent that. That side of what these superstars do to become NXT superstars and to WWE superstars and to WrestleMania.
NJ.com interview
Ambrose talks to NJ.com about the Authority and preparing for matches.
I listen to some Hank Williams before I go out. I tell some jokes. I have fun. I don’t waste too much energy thinking about it – I like to save that all for the ring. The calmest part of my day is right before a match.
