Sam Roberts interview

Interview0 Comments

Jericho is a guest on the Sam Roberts wrestling podcast to discuss his relationship with CM Punk and Punk not talking to a lot of former friends in the WWE.

Punk and I were pretty tight and I haven’t heard from him since then. I’m not surprised that he left, but I’m surprised that he stopped talking to everybody, stopped talking to me, because we talked about a lot of stuff beyond wrestling. And that kind of surprised me more than anything, he just detached himself. From what I understand, I’m not the only one, that he pretty much of detached himself from a lot of people who thought they were his friends, but that was him. Maybe he’ll come back and maybe he won’t. In 2005 I did the same, I left and couldn’t take it. I came back and was able to be way better than I ever was.

WWE.com interview

Interview0 Comments

Jericho talks to WWE.com about Fozzy’s new album and their popularity in the UK.

Yeah, they really love us here. For some reason the UK has always supported Fozzy and its a great territory and a great Jericho territory. Whether its coming here with the WWE or coming here with Fozzy, I love the UK.

WWE and Mayor Landrieu announce via press release that Wrestlemania 30 generated over $142 million for the region in April of 2014. Landrieu comments:

On behalf of New Orleans, we thank all WWE fans that came from around the world to experience all that our beautiful city has to offer. The week-long series of events helped generate a record-breaking boost to our economy, and we look forward to the possibility of New Orleans hosting a future WrestleMania.

Alternative Nation interview

Interview0 Comments

Edge talks to Alternative Nation about the WWE Network, Christian and The “Attitude Era” of WWE.

I do think what’s been good, people are always talking about the Attitude Era, and all of this and all of that, but if you watch back, sometimes the matches weren’t that great because we had 2 minutes. It’s not possible to have a good wrestling match in 2 minutes, you can’t tell a story, you can tell a haiku. Since the PG era, I know when I was in matches, I had half an hour sometimes, 20 minutes, there I can tell a story.

Liverpool Echo interview

Interview0 Comments

Rollins talks about memories with The Shield and being in the main event Hell in a Cell.

Aside from main eventing WrestleMania you really can’t get any bigger than that. You’ve got two guys under the age of 30-years-old, who have been on the main roster for less than three years, and we’re main eventing a pay-per-view, a major pay-per-view, Hell In A Cell, on a show that also features John Cena versus Randy Orton in a Hell In A Cell match as well. So that’s a major milestone, and that’s something that I’m real proud of, something that I’m going to take with me for a long time.

U.K. Independent interview

Interview0 Comments

Sheamus talks to the U.K. Independent about returning to Europe with WWE, losing the United States Championship to Rusev and enjoying how the match was aired exclusively on the WWE Network.

I obviously want a rematch. I want to prove I can beat Rusev. That’s important, we went back and forth the other night – it was a long night – but it was cool the way it was on the network. It was like the first of its kind, to broadcast that match on the network and it shows how powerful the network can be with so much opportunity and options that the WWE can put any match on there, anytime, anywhere, exclusively for the fans that subscribe to the network.

VOC Nation interview

Interview0 Comments

Hall is a guest on VOC Nation Radio to discuss his children and a possible role within WWE.

I got to go to the Hulk’s birthday at Raw and, of course, the Hall of Fame was really fun. It’s really cool to be around these young guys and have these guys who are actively on the scene going, ‘Man, I grew up watching you. You’re the best’ and all that and I never get tired of hearing that so I would welcome that. I think that I have something to offer but right now I’m just trying to work on getting and keeping my stuff straight.

Daily Star interview

Interview0 Comments

Sheamus talks to the Daily Star about staying in shape and his dream match with a celebrity.

Hugh Jackman would be a good fight. I’m a big fan of his and I know he’s a fan of WWE – he’s been to see the shows a couple of times. I think he’d be great in the ring.

WWE.com interview

Interview0 Comments

Christian talks to WWE.com about the experience of WWE pay-per-views.

Its unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. The action, the pyro, the music and not to mention the superstars are bringing their A-game because they know what’s at stake and its about stealing the show.

Chad Dukes interview

Interview0 Comments

Hogan is a guest on the Chad Dukes Wrestling Show to discuss his regrets and Bray Wyatt.

He fits in that grey area, and I’m gonna put myself over, that I started when I turned bad guy, Hollywood Hogan and people cheered me. It just showed the fans, whether you’re good guy or bad guy, they’re gonna cheer who they love and like to watch perform and I think he kinda broke down that barrier again. At first I was like ‘Oh man what is this guy doing,’ and then I started watching him and with the mind games and the rap and basically how good he was in the ring. I remember one pay-per-view he wrestled Daniel Bryan in the opening match, was like a year or so ago, nobody could follow that match. It was the first match of the pay-per-view and they tore it down. Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt. And I said this guy’s gonna be red-hot.

Miami Herald interview

Interview0 Comments

Jericho talks to the Miami Herald about his latest book and resentment from younger stars toward part time wrestlers.

There shouldn’t be (resentment), because I can come back there and outwork any one of those guys on the roster. When I come back though, I come back to work as many shows as I can. I don’t just come back for TV and pay-per-view. I work with everybody and have great matches. So I don’t think anybody has any issues with Jericho coming back. I think they are actually looking forward to it. If I was coming back and couldn’t do my job, then I would absolutely see why they don’t want me there.

Bryan talks to Sports Illustrated about Sting, “Yes!” chants and hoping to return for Wrestlemania 31.

NotInHallofFame.com interview

Interview0 Comments

Shamrock talks the current WWE product and feeling he should be in the WWE Hall of Fame.

I do feel that I definitely deserve to be in their Hall of Fame based on the things that I did while I was there, being able to change that sport along with other people. I feel I earned that right based on what I was able to do there in a small amount of time. I’m not sure that I can stand here and boast about that. The fans are the ones that really tell the tale and I think they speak very loudly about where I stand in pro wrestling. I don’t think that there are too many people who would tell you that I don’t deserve to be there.

LFPress interview

Interview0 Comments

Stratus talks to LFPress about her wrestling career and switching from the ring to being an entrepreneur.

Wresting was not my life. It was part of my life. I got into yoga, practiced all over the world and got certified and turned my passion into a business in 2008 … I produced my own television show and that allowed to me to control my image and my brand.

WWE.com interview

Interview0 Comments

Triple H talks to WWE.com about the future of WWE.

You can’t hold the future off, the future is coming. If you handle it the right way, you end up like me. There’s a point in time where people said Triple H was becoming the past. Now people are saying I’m the future.

Ring Rust Radio interview

Interview0 Comments

Ross talks to Ring Rust Radio about his future with wrestling and which match he wishes he could have called in history.

Well I think probably the one I would have liked to call was the main event of WrestleMania 3. It was such a ground breaking event. If you’re going to be a part of a ground breaking event, you want to be a part of the main event. I would say Hogan and Andre at WrestleMania 3. It was such a simplistic match to call, it would have been very easy to call it from a stand point of what they did, but the drama one could add to the moment and to what the match meant.

DC101 interview

Interview0 Comments

Lee talks to DC101 about potential challengers for the WWE Diva’s Championship once her feud with Paige is finished.

I see so much potential in people who haven’t particularly gotten that opportunity yet, like Emma and Summer and even Lana. I think they are interesting characters and women who have a lot of potential and I would love to something that’s vastly different with one of those girls. Just someone we haven’t seen yet get a chance.

This is Infamous interview

Interview0 Comments

Cesaro talks to This in Infamous about Dolph Ziggler and the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Well I think Dolph has done a great job elevating the tile just because he is a very good in-ring competitor. He’s never as good as I am, which is why I think I should be the Intercontinental Champion. If you look at the Intercontinental Champion, historically that has always belonged to the best of the best in-ring talent, the best wrestler, whatever you want to call it, that came out night after night, produced night after night, and that will be me. So I think rightfully the Intercontinental Championship should be mine from Smackdown, and I’ll go into Hell in a Cell as the Intercontinental Champion.
