Releases Sole Fury sneaker
Reebok, the exclusive outfitter of the UFC, teams up with McGregor to release a new training shoe, the Sole Fury. The shoe, retailing for $90, is available exclusively on Reebok.com, Reebok stores and Champs Sports locations. McGregor spoke to MensHealth.com a day ahead of the shoe’s launch:

McGregor unveils his ‘Proper Twelve’ Irish whiskey brand
McGregor announces the unveiling of his Proper Twelve whiskey brand via Instagram. He says he will donate up to $1 million per year of the proceeds of Proper Twelve at $5 per case to first responder organizations and charities.

Forced to drop ‘Notorious’ whiskey brand
McGregor withdraws his application to register Notorious whiskey as a trademark. An Irish brewer, Seamus O’Hara, objected to McGregor Sports and Entertainment Ltd company’s application to trademark the Notorious whiskey brand. O’Hara’s successful attempt to block McGregor’s application, first put through in 2016, means it has now been withdrawn. The European Union Intellectual Property Office in Spain, the office McGregor applied to, also ordered the Irishman to pay £552 in costs to O’Hara. O’Hara, the founder of Carlow Brewing Company, registered his own Notorious alcohol brand in May 2016 and argued McGregor’s trademark and his could not ‘co-exist peacefully in the market’.
UFC229 McGregor vs Nurmagomedov ticket prices announced
Ticket prices are announced for the upcoming McGregor-Nurmagomedov fight. The UFC 229 main event fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will cost a minimum $250 for nose bleed seats, and $2,500 for up close to the action. MMA journalist Ariel Helwani shares the range of prices to Twitter, revealing the cost of tickets for various sections of the arena. The first batch of tickets will be available on August 15 for members of the UFC’s Fight Club. UFC Newsletter subscribers will be able to purchase tickets the following day and the general public on August 17.
UFC just officially announced the ticket prices for the Khabib vs. McGregor card on Oct. 6, which go on sale this week: $2,505, $2,005, $1,505, $1,005, $755, $555, $405, $355, $305, $255, $205.

Bronze McGregor bust goes on sale
Noodies. a company based in the UK, releases a bronze bust of McGregor, prices at $4600 (£3300). The company is also selling a “resin reinforced plaster” version of the McGregor bust for about $325 (£230).
We have produced an investment grade, bronze art object that glorifies a sportsman. We have protected it with a Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) inset into the base and sealed with the wax trademark of the designer. The unique RFID code on the device is linked to the number within the edition to make successful forgery impossible. McGregor launches ‘Notorious’ Irish whiskey that could earn him $100m
McGregor is using his high-profile bout with Mayweather to plug his own brand of whiskey – and he says he’s going to dominate the drinks market with it. Dressed in a cream suit adorned with colourful paisley patterns, he repeatedly swigged from a glass of the whiskey – making sure it appeared in the majority of press photos. He says he plans to “take over the Irish whiskey market” with the Notorious-branded drink. Speaking at the post-fight press conference:

McGregor-Mayweather tickets sell out in minutes
Unhappy fans take to social media to complain that McGregor-Mayweather tickets sell out in minutes, despite some tickets costing as much as £8000. Fans rushed to grab their tickets for the 20,000-capacity T-Mobile Arena at 6pm UK time, but many were not able to get tickets, even if they had ‘right to buy codes,’ which had been trading on Ebay for up to £200 in the morning.

McGregor’s tailor releases limited edition ‘Eff You’ suit
David August tailoring releases a limited edition of McGregor’s ‘Eff You’ suit, which the fighter wore to his first press conference with Mayweather in Los Angeles. The $6500 suit is produced in exclusive wool in navy twill, with ‘explicit fighting words presented in a vertical repeat’. Other details include purple camouflage silk lining. Each suit will be signed by August. Production time us estimated at 12-15 weeks.
