The Even Stevens Movie
LeBeouf stars in Disney Channel original movie, The Even Stevens Movie. Turbo-Charged Prelude
Walker acts in the Fast and Furious related short film, Turbo-Charged Prelude, in 2003 as Brian O’Connor. It is a 6-minute series of sequences that lead up to the Fast and Furious sequel, 2 Fast 2 Furious. New prints of the first film, known as Tricked Out Edition, will include the short.
Manic
Gordon-Levitt portrays a rage-filled teenager named Lyle Jensen in Jordan Melamed’s directorial debut. This drama film follows the story of Lyle as he is put in a psychiatric ward for violently attacking a classmate. In the hospital, he begins to deal with his anger issues as he interacts with other patients. Zooey Deschanel is Lyle’s love interest and Don Cheadle is the counselor.
I spent a lot of time with people who had been in hospitals just like this. I didn’t get to go into a hospital like [the one in the movie] because I think that would be rude and intrusive – and we weren’t allowed to. I went to support groups and halfway houses. We talked to a lot of people.
The Lizzie McGuire Movie
Duff stars in the Disney Channel original movie The Lizzie McGuire Movie. Duff plays main character Lizzie who is mistaken for a famous Italian pop star, Isabella, while on a school trip in Rome. The film also features actors Adam Lamberg, Hallie Todd and Jake Thomas.
I feel pressure definitely. When the movie comes out you feel like oh my God what if it doesn’t do good, what if nobody goes to see it, what if it gets bad reviews, because it hurts your feelings. But you just gotta learn not to take it too seriously.
Holes
The actor makes his feature debut in Holes, a comedy adventure film based on the 1998 novel of the same title by Louis Sachar (who also wrote the screenplay). LaBeouf plays Stanley Yelnats IV, a decedent of an unfortunate family that has been cursed 100 years due to an ancestor who didn’t keep a promise to a fortune-teller. Always in the wrong place at the wrong time, Stanley is sentenced to attend Camp Green Lake, a juvenile detention camp, for a crime he didn’t commit. The detainees have to dig a 5 foot hole in the desert each day to “build character.”
Everyone just thought I was a big goofball. Holes changed that. When your movie makes almost $ 70 million, it’s a different ball game.

Duff stars in feature length film Agent Cody Banks. Duff plays character Natalie Connors who is Agent Cody Banks’, played by Frankie Muniz, love interest in the film.
I haven’t had much time off lately and I went to the movies with my friends to see View From the Rooftop, and I saw a Cody Banks poster and a Lizzie McGuire poster and I was like, Oh my God! You just forget about it, you know, until you see it and you’re like, Wow, that’s cool.
The Hours
Kidman plays Virginia Woolf in this drama directed by Stephen Daldry. Woolf’s novel Mrs. Dalloway is the jumping off point to chronicle a day in the life of three women in three separate decades, all of whom, in one way or another, encounter suicide. Co-starring Meryl Streep and Julianne Moore.
I think a character can sometimes come into your life because she’s meant to be there. The dead can give us gifts. And Virginia Woolf gave me the gift of being able to play her at a time when I was depressed and in an emotional struggle. I used her knowledge. In the same way that life feeds art, art feeds life.
The Hours
Moore plays Laura Brown, a pregnant housewife in 1950’s suburbia, in this drama directed by Stephen Daldry. Virginia Woolf’s novel Mrs. Dalloway is the jumping off point to chronicle a day in the life of three women in three separate decades, all of whom, in one way or another, encounter suicide. Co-starring Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman. Moore comments on what the movie means to her:
Universality. Each character’s life layers on the others’, and in the end, there’s this incredible impact of how universal all the moments—the hours—of our lives are.
The Hours
Streep plays Clarissa Vaughan, an editor whose life mimics that of Clarissa Dalloway, in this drama directed by Stephen Daldry. Virginia Woolf’s novel Mrs. Dalloway is the jumping off point to chronicle a day in the life of three women in three separate decades, all of whom, in one way or another, encounter suicide. Co-starring Nicole Kidman and Julianne Moore.
For me this film was a telescoping of time and emotion and how connected we are—deep down, we’re all very similar.
Deliver Us From Eva
Union plays Eva, a headstrong know it all in the movie Deliver Us From Eva. After meddling in her sister’s marriages, the husbands decides to hire Ray, a known player, and pays him to make Eva fall in love with him. After Eva discovers their plan, she dumps Ray and moves to a different state after accepting another job offer.
I think that at the end of the day, the overall message that I hope people get is compromise is key. As a newly married person, as much as I would love for my husband to buy into the ‘my way or the highway’ philosophy, you realize it’s all about compromising and finding some sort of middle ground that everyone can live with. You understand that Eva’s motivation for everything that she does, albeit she gets a little overzealous, is her love for her sisters.
Catch Me If You Can
DiCaprio plays Frank Abagnale, Jr. in this drama directed by Steven Spielberg. Abagnale, a master of deception and a brilliant forger, worked as a doctor, a lawyer, and as a co-pilot for a major airline, and was the most successful bank robber in the history of the U.S.– all before his 18th birthday. FBI Agent Carl Hanratty makes it his mission to capture Frank and bring him to justice, but Abagnale is always one step ahead of him. Co-starring Tom Hanks and Christopher Walken.
That guy… the best, a consummate professional. Tom is very much a role model for me because he is able to just refine what he does. He has such a passion and exuberance for the work. I don’t want to get cynical about what I do; I don’t ever want to lose that spirit. So he was a great example about how to retain all that even when you’re at the upper echelons of this business.
Chicago
Zeta-Jones plays Velma Kelly in the film adaptation of the musical Chicago. Famous singer Kelly is imprisoned for killing her husband and sister after seeing them in bed together. In prison, she loses her reputation and is forgotten, as a new starlet named Roxie Hart blossoms. It doesn’t last long however, as the rapidly changing show business moves onto the next star. Co-starring Renee Zellweger and Richard Gere.
I’d love to do another musical. When they’re good, they’re great. I just fear that there will be an influx of remakes of every musical that’s ever been on Broadway and I don’t think that will be good.
Adaptation.
Cage plays the dual roles of Charlie and Donald Kaufman in this dramedy directed by Spike Jonze and written by Susan Orlean, Charlie Kaufman and his fictitious twin Donald Kaufman. Initially meant to be a straightforward adaptation of The Orchid Thief by Susan Orlean, the movie is instead a surreal take on the difficulty Charlie Kaufman had in writing that adaptation. Co-starring Meryl Streep and Chris Cooper.
Access to Charlie definitely helped me shape my character. I think there are two Charlies. There’s the biological Charlie we have here, and then there’s the surrealistic Charlie, which is on the paper and in the movie. Spike and I together decided that we wanted to use the biological Charlie as a resource, in terms of interviews and examining his characteristics and the way he speaks, the way he thinks.

I thought it was one of the best scripts I’d ever read in my life. They leap out at you, the ones that are really ambitious. That’s what I loved about it—its ambition and its inventiveness. It’s very densely written. It’s dense visually, but also in terms of its ideas and its emotions. It looked like a really interesting ride. It wasn’t like anything I’d been asked to do before. And it’s not like a straightforward story.
Antwone Fisher
Washington plays Dr. Jerome Davenport in the 2003 biographical drama. The film is inspired by the true story of Antwone Fisher, a navy sailor with a troubled past, who is sent to consult with the navy psychiatrist for his violent confrontations. Also stars Derek Luke. It is also Washington’s directorial debut.
I think it’s a pretty good film. It’s a simple film and I think it has honesty and a lot of heart.
Gangs of New York
In this historical drama, directed by Martin Scorsese, DiCaprio plays Amsterdam Vallon, a young Irish immigrant released from prison. He returns to the Five Points seeking revenge against William Cutting, his father’s killer and a powerful anti-immigrant gang leader. He knows that revenge can only be attained by infiltrating Cutting’s inner circle. Amsterdam’s journey becomes a fight for personal survival and to find a place for the Irish people in 1860’s New York. Co-starring Cameron Diaz and Daniel Day-Lewis.
It was a unique time in history. A part of our history I never learned about. America was saying, bring us your hungry, bring us your poor, and then they were persecuted.
Treasure Planet
Gordon-Levitt lends his voice to this Disney animated sci-fi film as protagonist Jim Hawkins. This teenage adventurer comes across a pirate’s map that leads to Treasure Planet. Riding a space galleon, he uses the map to guide him in his journey across the magical world. He encounters various characters in his adventure including cyborg pirate John Silver, voiced by South African actor Brian Murray.
Die Another Day
Pike plays the undercover MI6 agent Miranda Frost in the 20th James Bond film, directed by Lee Tamahori. After Bond is captured in North Korea, Frost is revealed to be a double agent and battles a female NSA agent aboard a plane carrying a doomsday device. Pierce Brosnan, Halle Berry, Toby Stephens, Rick Yune, John Cleese, and Judi Dench co-star.
Before I was cast as a Bond girl, I had never actually seen a James Bond movie. The Bond audition was strange—I’d just come back from China, doing the kind of hippie-backpacking thing that people do when they leave school. All the girls in this beautiful old town house waiting to see the casting director were sleek and dressed in what seemed to me like leather. I was wearing something very thick and woolly. I was convinced I was all wrong.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Watson stars as Hermione Granger in the film Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the second installment of the Harry Potter series. In the movie Harry, along with Hermione and Ron, must figure out what is causing the mysterious attacks at Hogwarts.
I think in the second book Hermione kind of develops. She becomes more friendly with Harry and Ron and she definitely becomes more easy going.
