Damon stars as astronaut Mark Watney in this science-fiction drama directed by Ridley Scott, based on the book by Andy Weir. Watney, mistakenly left for dead on Mars, has to survive for four years with only limited food, oxygen and other supplies. Co-starring Jessica Chastain, Jeff Daniels, Kate Mara, Kristen Wiig and Sean Bean.
When we made the movie, we had to go through step by step. He [Watney] is very logical and practical and methodical in how he goes about surviving. He says, essentially, ‘I need air, water, and food, and what do I need to do to ensure I have those things?’ And then kind of lets the science bring you there.
In this thriller directed by Alejandro Amenabar, based on a book by Amenabar, Watson plays a young woman who encounters painful memories of Satanic ritual abuse while under hypnosis. Then her father confesses to the crime, an investigation uncovers a conspiracy. Co-starring Ethan Hawke, David Dencik, David Thewlis and Dale Dikey.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Cooper talks about Depp’s performance as Bulger in Black Mass. To re-create Bulger’s intimidating style and persona, Cooper and Depp pored over surveillance tapes and old FBI photographs. Cooper says of Bulger:
He could be charming. He could be ruthless. He was like a cobra – you never knew where he could strike…He murdered him in front of numerous witnesses in broad daylight. In a word, Whitey was brazen.
A lot of people on set knew Whitey intimately. They got chills at the resemblance. Some of them couldn’t even look at him… It’s easy to be the mustache twirling villain but this performance couldn’t be further from that. He is truly gifted.
James plays himself, in his acting debut, in Judd Apatow’s comedy, Trainwreck. The film co-stars Amy Schumer and Bill Hader. When told he will play himself:
I can just show up, I’m LeBron, I’ll play basketball, and shoot some jumpers, I can dunk. And it was like ‘uh no, you’re actually going to be Bill’s best friend in the movie.’ And I’m like ‘so that means I’m going to have … lines?
Davis stars in this movie about Lila, a single mother whose son Stephon is killed in a drive-by shooting. When the police show little enthusiasm for solving the case, she joins a group of grieving mothers, where she connects with Eve (Jennifer Lopez), who has suffered a similar loss. The two set out to take revenge. The film is written by Pat Gilfillan and directed by Charles Stone III.
I completely drew on being a parent, and so did Jennifer. I have a friend, Julie Norris, who in 1988 lost a child to murder. She was a 7-year-old and she was playing in her grandma’s backyard in the middle of the day with her brothers and sisters and cousin. And her body was found and she’d been beaten, raped and strangled, and they found no clothes on her body. So I’ve been speaking to Julie as I was putting the project together. I always wanted to start from a place that’s real. The screenwriter spent two years with mothers of murdered children, and as a result, the experience felt like it was conveyed in a realistic way.
Lopez stars in this movie about two mothers who set out to take revenge after the son of Lila (Viola Davis) is killed in a drive-by shooting. The film is written by Pat Gilfillan and directed by Charles Stone III.
I think with Eve’s character, being a mom, understanding what it is to love a child, all of that was stuff I understood as well. I always try to pick parts where I can really contribute the emotional weight that the character requires. I’ve never lost a child, thank God. To love a child is to understand what it could be to go through something like this.
McKellen stars as a 93-year-old Holmes who is now a recluse, slowly succumbing to senility. The film co-stars Milo Parker, Laura Linney and Hattie Morahan and is directed by Bill Condon.
There was no problem with Sherlock Holmes once we got the look right. It was the same with Gandalf. Once we got the look, once I looked in the mirror and saw, “Oh! There he is.” It was then very easy to, with imagination, say, ‘The man who looks like that talks like this. The man who talks like this walks like this.’ It’s, sort of, in the DNA.
Screen Gems releases the trailer for The Perfect Guy.
Rockwell plays Eric Bowen, a father who has just been fired from his job, in this horror remake directed by Gil Kenan based on the book by James Kahn. When the family move into a new house, they find out that the house hides a deep secret, and they must come together to rescue their youngest daughter when apparitions take her captive. Co-starring Rosemarie Dewitt, Jared Harris, Saxon Sharbino.
I’ve seen a little in looping. I hope it’s good. I really don’t know. I really wish I could tell you. I’m praying that it’s – I mean, it’s gonna be hard to live up to the first one. The first one’s pretty damn good. This one’s gonna be in 3D though, I can tell you that.
In this adventure directed by George Miller based on a book by Brendan McCarthy, Nick Lathauris and Miller, Hardy plays Max a man of action and few words trying to restore order in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken. Costarring Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Josh Helman, Zoe Kravitz and Rosie Huntington.
When I got over the initial jubilation and excitement I suddenly realised that Mad Max is synonymous with Mel Gibson. If it’s not Mel it’s not Mad Max, and that was a little bit daunting and possibly people were going to dislike the change
In this action film directed by Joss Whedon, based on a book by Whedon, Downey plays Tony Stark/Iron Man, whose attempt to create a peace-keeping program goes awry, resulting in the rise of Ultron, a psychopathic computer-robot hybrid. The Avengers unite to save the planet. Co starring Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlet Johansson, Chris Hemsworth and Jeremy Renner.
You never want to lean on things that you did knowing that it was like a back-up parachute. You don’t want to pretend there’s a back-up to that back-up parachute. And yesterday’s approach doesn’t necessarily work today. That’s what I really enjoy – that double sliding scale Spock Chess thing. How do you do it? How did you ever do it? How did you do it before, and how are you going to do it next time? I think, ultimately, it comes down to the very self-deprecating Mr. Whedon, who is more exacting on himself than he could ever be on anyone else. But he’s specific and in charge and I found him enjoying himself a bit more this time while simultaneously holding himself to a higher standard. You can’t do the same thing, only smaller, not as cool. There’s that other trap – where it’s, “Everything is bigger! Better! Do you know how many gigabytes we used in the opening sequence? How many terabytes?” Ultimately it comes down to that.
In this superhero movie based on characters created by Marvel Comics, Johansson portrays Black Widow, a highly trained spy. She and her fellow avengers stop villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plans. Co-starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner.
People were surprised that I wanted to play a comic book heroine. But I loved Iron Man, and I met with Marvel to see what was possible. I had done my research, and the Black Widow character resonated with me. She is dark and has faced death so many times that she has a deep perspective on the value of life. In the sequel, you learn more about the sadness in her past.
In this Sci-Fi directed by Alex Garland, Vikander plays the role of Ava, an artificial intelligence female who befriends a young computer programmer Caleb (Domhnall Gleeson) after they’re introduced by his mysterious CEO Nathan (Oscar Isaac). The movie co-stars Corey Johnson, Domhall Gleeson and Oscar Isaac. Vikander on challenges faced in playing Ava:
It was difficult because in the script, which tends to be a very difficult thing about scripts, there weren’t many stage directions. So when I read it I didn’t really know what Ava looked like, what she was or anything. My self-taped audition I did is a very different Ava.
Vin Diesel plays Dominic Toretto, in this crime thriller by James Wan. After Deckard (Jason Statham) starts killing the crew members, in revenge for the death of his brother, the team reunites to fight him, and discover he is trying to steal a technological device so they can turn it into a weapon. Co-starring Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson. On performing with Walker’s brothers:
It is a very difficult thing for an actor to both mourn, and also have to pretend that the person is still there. It made the experience that much more arduous. It was very tricky. It was the hardest film I’ve ever done.
Lipovsky directs this horror movie about a group of people living in a world controlled and dominated by zombies. They are living in fear and trying to survive in a life crisis that seems impossible for them to win back what they have lost. C0-starring Jesse Metcalfe, Meghan Ory and Virginia Madson.
I really like the tone of the game. It’s definitely got its dark scary beats, but ultimately it’s an adventure film. Every time I get scared or laugh while playing, I make a note to add it to the script. Tonally it will be like “Indiana Jones with Zombies.” Fun, scary, dramatic action.
In the heist film directed by Philip Martin, Travolta plays the role of an art forger who must forge a painting by Claude Monet for a crime syndicate who plan to steal it from a museum, so he can secure an early release from prison. Co-starring Marcus Thomas, Abigail Spencer and Travis Aaron Wayde. On learning to paint:
I went to Hong Kong, and I studied with a famous instructor there, and then in the US with another gentleman. I had studied watercolour years ago because I loved Hopper, Edward Hopper, and my grandfather was a painter, and my brother paints. I took it up as well. But I really wanted to understand what a forger might feel he has to do to duplicate that.
In this drama directed by Neill Blomkamp, Copley plays Chappie a droid that feels and thinks for himself. The authorities see him as danger to human kind and want to make sure he is the last of his kind. Co-starring Hugh Jackman, Siguorney Weaver, Yolandi Visser and David Patel.
I think we’re finding our stride now on this third film, sort of going back to a smaller style of filmmaking. I’m doing the lead again… I’m playing a light character… A child-like robot, which is great. He only gets to about nine years in his emotional development. I got to run around in one of the most dangerous cities in the world being a child. It was awesome.
In this comedy directed by Ken Scott, based on a book by Steven Conrad, Vaughn plays a small business owner travelling to Europe with his associates to close the most important deal of their lives. Co-starring Dave Franco, Tom Wilkinson, Sienna Miller,James Marsden and Nick Frost. About his character:
It’s easy to make the guy sort of be kind of incompetent but what I think is cool is that the character is actually a guy who, yes, he has his challenges, but he’s a competent guy facing those challenges which makes it more interesting
In this drama directed by John Requa, Smith plays Nicky a con artist who becomes romantically involved with his partner while teaching her the tricks of the trade. He ends the relationship when she becomes uncomfortably close. Co-starring: Robbie Margot, Rodrigo Santoro, Adrian Martinez and B.D Wong.
You can’t create chemistry, you either have it or your don’t. It was pretty instantaneous. The second she walked in I was like, “Uh huh…” It was really palpable. I’ve never used that word in public before – that felt good! It was the correct usage, right? Ok, it was palpable!
BBC Films releases the trailer for The Lady In The Van.
In this romantic comedy drama, Smith plays Nicky Spurgeon, a con man. He falls in love Jess (MArgotRobbie) and begins to teach her the tricks of the trade but he breaks the relationship off when it gets too close. Three years later she shows Nicky how cons are done. Directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. Co-starring Rodrigo Santoro. Robbie:
We started improvising a little bit, Will said something and I called him a d**k,” she recalls. “Apparently when he walked out he said: ‘I like her. I think she’s the right one.’ They were like, ‘you like her because she called you a d**k’. It ended up becoming a running joke in the film.”
In this 2014 comedy drama written by Eliot Laurence and directed by Shira Piven, Wiig stars as Alice Klieg, a woman who has Borderline Personality Disorder. After she wins millions, she quits her meds and buys her own talk show. Co-starring Linda Cardellini, Jennifer Jason Leigh and James Marsden. On her nude scene:
I’d never read a character like that. I got to a scene where it read, ‘She’s fully naked,’ and I remember thinking: If I do this movie, I have to do this scene because it’s really important to this script.
In this romance directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson based on a book by Kelly Marcel, Dornan plays Christian Grey, a rich businessman who gets romantically involved with a sexually inexperienced college girl, who discovers he is into sado-masochistic sex. Co-starring: Dakota Johnson, Rita Ora, Luke Grimes and Eloise Mumford.
I got through with a lot of apologies, you have to keep the intensity there, but maintain professionalism. At the end of the day, we’re all human beings and it can be uncomfortable to film things like that, so I just tried to make light of it
The trailer for Aloha is released. The movie, directed by Cameron Crowe, stars Cooper as a military contractor who returns to the U.S. space program in Honolulu after blowing an assignment. Stone is his love interest. The film also stars Rachel McAdams, Alec Baldwin and Bill Murray.
In this drama directed by Rob Cohen based on a book by Barbara Curry, Lopez plays Peterson, a recently cheated-on married woman who falls for a younger man who has just moved in next door. When she breaks up with him, he starts to stalk her. Co starring Ryan Guzman, Ian Nelson, John Corbet, Kristin Chenoweth, Lexi Atkins, Hill Harper, Jack Wallace and Adam Hicks.
When I read the script, I liked the character because I felt it was very related. She’s a woman in a long marriage, her husband just cheated on her, and she’s kind of at the lowest point in her life. She’s at that moment and then this guy comes along — the boy next door shows up — and starts making her feel like she is worth something. That she is desirable in some way and reminds her because she’s feeling the total opposite in that moment. And then of course, [she] makes a mistake and crosses the line and it changes their lives forever. But I really did love [how] she’s strong, but she’s vulnerable at the same time.
Harington plays Roland Leighton, Brittain’s fiancé, in this historic drama directed by James Kent. He shares a dream of being a writer with his friends and Vera Brittian. Roland Leighton enlists as war is declared and falls in love with Vera Brittian as he writes her poems and letters.
I studied Testament Of Youth in school and knew a lot about the First World War. I was immediately interested in the script, especially the war poetry. I then met with James Kent and Rosie Alison to read for the part. And Juliette Towhidi did a brilliant job writing the script. She has created an extremely moving and dreamlike piece. Everyone around Vera, including Roland, seems to be a snippet in Vera’s life, almost part of her imagination.
In this drama directed by Clint Eastwood based on a book by Jason Hall, Cooper plays Chris Kyle, the most lethal sniper in American history. Co-starring:Sienna Miller, Luke Grimes,Kyle Gallner, Ben Reed and Elise Robertson. On getting Eastwood involved:
Now, you don’t really persuade Clint to do anything, he’s either going to do it or he’s not. But I said, ‘Hey, Clint, how you doing?’ ‘Bradley, how are you?’ And he’s like [Cooper speaks in this spot-on impression of Eastwood], ‘Yeah, I’m reading this Chris Kyle thing, 10 or so pages at night in-between shooting, yeah, so I guess Steven [Spielberg]’s not doing it, huh?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, and I have to say I just watched Unforgiven again, and there are a lot of similarities. I love the idea of treating this like a Western, and investigating this guy and his psyche.’ Clint goes, ‘Yeah, yeah, call me on Monday, let me take a look at the script.’ I said, OK, great, Clint, thank you.
What happened on the next call?
He says [in a hoarse whisper], ‘Yeah, let’s make this f*cker.’ And that was it. I was like, ‘OK, Clint.’
In this drama directed by Mathew Vaughn, based on a book by Mark Millar, Egerton plays Eggsy, a youth who is headed for a life in prison until the secret service recruits him. Co-starring: Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Michall Caine and Sofia Boutella.
That’s one of the things that I really, really appreciated on set, that Colin is enough of a good bloke – he would never presume to give me advice unless I sought it. That’s part of what he did to level the playing field. Despite the vast gap in our stature as performers – how established Colin is and how green I am – him doing that made me feel very confident.
Moore plays Alice Howland, a professor of linguistics who is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease in this drama written and directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland. The film is based upon Lisa Genova’s novel of the same name. Co-starring Alec Baldwin, Kristen Stewart, Kate Bosworth, and Hunter Par. Sandly Oltz, who had been diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s at age 47, gave tips from her own life about how to cope with the disease:
[Moore] would just ask questions like, ‘What does it feel like to have Alzheimer’s?’ I would say, ‘Well, it’s like all these words [are here] and you can’t find the right one.’
The documentary, Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me, is released. The documentary chronicles what went on behind the scenes as the performer’s mind degenerated. Campbell’s wife, Kim Woolen:
I’m really proud of him … to be so courageous, to open up and be vulnerable before the whole world.

Lifetime TV Network:
She sold millions of records and was a budding silver screen star. Yes, Aaliyah was definitely more than a woman.
Pike stars as Abi in the comedy directed by Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin, based on the BBC show Outnumbered. Abi and her husband, Doug (David Tennant), hide the tension in their marriage as they travel to the Scottish Highlands to meet Doug’s terminally ill father, Gordie (Billy Connolly). As they focus on their marital troubles, their daughter fulfills a bizarre dying wish by Gordie and forces them to confront their issues. Co-starring Ben Miller and Emilia Jones.
When I read What We Did On Our Holiday I just thought, this is brilliant. I knew that these guys, Andy and Guy, have such an indelible sense of good taste, great sense of humor and just this really original way of working.
In the thriller based on the novel written by Gillian Flynn and directed by David Fincher, Affleck plays the role of Nick Dunne, a man with questionable morals accused of murdering his wife. Co-starring Rosamund Pike and Neil Patrick Harris.
There’s nothing really about this guy or character that I feel connected to personally, except that I have definitely felt as though I was looking at a version of my life that I didn’t recognize through the prism of the media.
In the thriller based on the novel written by Gillian Flynn and directed by David Fincher, Pike plays the role of Amy, a missing woman suspected to have been murdered by her husband. Co-starring Ben Affleck and Neil Patrick Harris.
There were definitely moments when I felt very uneasy with how much power Amy had. And the interesting thing is, my reaction was to laugh, to get sort of uncontrollable giggles. That was the most curious part of playing her: At the point where she’s at her most powerful, it unnerved something in me.
O’Brien stars in Wes Ball’s adaptation of the James Dashner sci fi-action novel. 16-year-old Thomas awakes with no memory in the centre of a mysterious maze, and must discover its secrets to escape. Co-starring Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Aml Ameen, Kaya Scodelario, Will Poulter, and Ki Hong Lee.
It’s got a great cast and a great first-time director
In this drama directed by Sam Miller, Henson plays Terri, a devoted wife and mother of two, who lives an ideal life that takes a dramatic turn when her home and children are threatened by a charming stranger who smooth talks his way into her house claiming car trouble. Co-starring Idris Elba, Lesslie Bibb and Kate Del Castillo. Asked she would open a door to a stranger:
No! ( laughs ) And I say that because of the way my house is situated if I’m all the way upstairs. I’m not coming downstairs. I don’t care how fine you are. I don’t like unexpected guests anyway. So I’m like why are you ringing my door bell when you see all the other houses on the block? Why mine? So no, I wouldn’t.
In this thriller, directed by Roger Donaldson, Brosnan plays a legendary ex-CIA agent who emerges from retirement to protect a witness, but his mission lands him in the sights of his former protégé in this cat-and-mouse spy thriller based on the novel There are no Spies by Bill Granger. Co-starring Luke Bracey and Olga Kurylenko.
That ambiguity and the ambivalence of his moral stance is something that was appealing. He’s a cultured badass, he’s a seasoned, sassy operative who’s played the game a long time, and been manipulated himself over many years.
In this action thriller Willis plays a former assassin and crime boss, Omar. Omar kidnaps the daughter of his old rival Paul, played by Jason Patric – who in the past had killed Omar’s own wife and daughter. Director Brian A. Miller says about working with the cast:
It was like a dream come true…just working with awesome talent.
In this sequel to the 2005’s Sin City, directed Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez, Willis reprises his role as retired cop Hartigan – but in this version plays the cop’s ghost, who watches over Nancy Halligan (played by Jessica Alba) as she struggles to come to terms with Hartigan’s suicide four years earlier. Halligan takes revenge on Senator Roarke (played by Powers Booth), whom she holds responsible for Hartigan’s death. Also starring Mickey Rourke, Josh Brolin, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
It’s like stepping back into a family, and everybody is still enthusiastic about the film, and are highly confident about what they do.
Pike stars as Clara in the romantic comedy directed by Peter Chelsom and based on the novel by Francois Lelord. Clara’s boyfriend, Hector, travels across the world to seek happiness, and realizes that it is only with Clara that he will find what he is looking for. Co-starring Simon Pegg.
I really liked it. I knew it wouldn’t be a major commitment for me—the Clara portion is contained. I felt that it was the sort of thing that whenever it was ready to go, I could fit it in. Simon and I did know about this when we went into The World’s End. We sort of said, “The next six months, we’ll get to work together.” Which is great. And we have this very easy, very joyous friendship. It’s really nice.
Moss plays Sophie, a young wife in a troubled marriage, in this dark romantic comedy directed by Stuart Murdoch. During a marriage counseling session with her husband, their counselor suggests a weekend away at a retreat where he sends some of his clients. Upon arrival, the couple find nothing but a big empty house in which they first, begin to rekindle some of their former spark, and second, encounter some things they cannot explain. Co-starring Mark Duplass and Ted Danson.
And I don’t know a couple, whether they’ve been together for three weeks or 16 years, where one of them doesn’t at some point say “Huh … this isn’t exactly where I wanted to be.” And they have to decide whether or not they stay.
WWE releases Ladies and Gentlemen, My Name is Paul Heyman on DVD and Blu-Ray formats. The release features a two hour documentary chronicling Heyman’s career in professional wrestling.
Long before MY CLIENT, BRROOCKK LESNAARR, conquered the Undertaker’s Streak at WrestleMania, I earned a reputation as a person who directed Superstars to success. So this year, while continuing to guide Superstars to the bright lights of superstardom, I found time to give you a front row seat into the greatest mind sports entertainment has ever seen
In his final screen appearance, Hoffman plays German counter-terrorism expert and rogue agent Gunter Bachmann in this thriller directed by Anton Corbijn. When terrorist activity appears imminent, Bachmann sets out to extinguish the threat and learn the truth behind a half-Chechen, half-Russian tortured immigrant who has appeared in Hamburg’s Islamic community. Co-starring Rachel McAdams. Corbijn speaks of working with Hoffman.
Philip had such an incredible delivery. I was making a point yesterday that I sometimes shot scenes in one take, because I liked it so much.
Scott plays Deidre “Dee-Dee” Jenkins, James Brown’s second wife whom he physically abuses, in Tate Taylor’s Get On Up. The film chronicles Brown’s rise from poverty to music stardom. Co-starring Chadwick Boseman, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, and Dan Aykroyd.
We had to approach it very gingerly. The family is definitely involved in this film, and we didn’t want this to be the highlight of his existence. We look around and see pictures of James Brown when he went to prison…and they’re talking about drugs, but there’s so much more to this man. And when we approached this particular scene where there was some spousal abuse we were very careful about it because we don’t want to taint this man’s image or his legacy.
Spencer plays Aunt Honey, James Brown’s aunt, who raises him after he is abandoned by his mother, in Tate Taylor’s Get On Up. The movie explores the “tough love” relationship between the pair and how it contributes to Brown’s rise from poverty to music stardom. Co-starring Chadwick Boseman, Viola Davis, Jill Scott, and Dan Aykroyd.
She doesn’t use him. She lets him know that if he’s going to be under her roof, that he has to be a contributing member of the household. When you have mouths to feed, everybody has to contribute. At the end of the day, she did take this child in, and she already had the women there that she had to take care of, and their kids. So, she could have easily said, ‘No.’
Aykroyd plays Ben Bart, James Brown’s manager, in Tate Taylor’s Get On Up, the man who is credited with discovering Brown in an Atlanta nightclub. Get On Up tells the story of Brown’s rise from poverty to music stardom. Co-starring Chadwick Boseman, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, and Jill Scott.
So, when Danny Ray came out and dropped the cape on James Brown on Please Please Please, that was a seminal moment for myself and my six friends, who squeezed into one of my friend’s mother’s Mustangs and all came down from Ottawa to see this show. And there was James Brown — his bolero heels like this far from our beers, dancing up and down the Esquire Show Bar. A full band, they had to pack on this small, little stage, but the horns, the rhythm. … So, really early on, I loved him.
Johnson stars as Hercules, a demi-god and son of Zeus who leads his entourage and an army to help end a war in the land of Thrace and return the rightful king to his throne. When asked about his iconic chain binding scene Johnson:
It was a great scene to shoot and that particular scene was the scene I looked forward to the most, because it’s the iconic scene. It’s the scene that, if anybody out there is familiar with the Hercules and the mythology of Hercules, when he finally accepts… his fate and his faith by the way being the son of Zeus, well he becomes more powerful.

In this sci-fi drama directed by Luc Besson, Johansson plays Lucy, a woman accidentally caught in a dark deal, who turns tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic. Co-starring Morgan Freeman,Analeigh Tipton, Choi Min-Sik and Amr Waked. Besson:
I’ve always worked with sci-fi since my first film. So it’s never very far. But I like going from Fifth Element to Joan of Arc and going from The Family to Lucy. So I like that. But what attracts me also very much as a director is the cast. To have Scarlett, who I really like — I’ve seen her on Broadway in her play. I’ve been there twice. I love Morgan Freeman. Choi Min-sik is a genius. Amr Waked is a great Egyptian actor. For a director to have this mix of characters coming from everywhere around the world, it’s so exciting, so exciting
Johansson plays Lucy, a drug mule, in this science fiction thriller written and directed by Luc Besson. Lucy is accidentally injected with a drug that causes her to access more and more of her brain, turning her into something more than human. Co-starring Morgan Freeman.
There’s so much going on inside of her. She’s having all these profound changes and realizations and these sudden “ah-ha” moments. But you still want to watch the person and see that there’s an inner life happening there.
