Layfield discusses his WWE singles career:

Eddie Guerrero, he was the biggest influence on my singles career. I’m not sure the JBL character would be alive if not for Eddie, he really made the career that I had. The Undertaker feud that I had was huge for me, but I got to wrestle every top star during that era, I got to wrestle, Booker T, Dave Batista, John Cena, I really had a fun and incredible run, the run came later in my life so I really had the opportunity to enjoy it

Pitt talks about being a drifter in his younger days before he made it in Hollywood:

I’d get so far and then want to do something else. I mean, I’m two credits short of graduating college. Two credits. All I had to do was write a paper. What kind of guy is that? That guy scares me — the guy who always leaves a little on his plate. For a long time, I thought I did too much damage — drug damage. I was a bit of a drifter. A guy who felt he grew up in something of a vacuum and wanted to see things, wanted to be inspired. I followed that other thing.

Stratus talks to WWE.com about her latest endeavor, a yoga program titled “Stratusphere Yoga”

I had been told I was experiencing degenerative disc damage, and when I got squished by Viscera in the ring in 2005, that’s when the damage caught up with me. I was put out of action and diagnosed with a herniated disc. The doctors said I had to have surgery, but I knew there had to be another way to fix it. I did some physical therapy, which did not work. And then I found yoga. Yoga reversed the damage, allowed me to come back and finish out my career. Yoga has been in my life ever since.

The Art of Wrestling interview

James is a guest on The Art of Wrestling to discuss WWE, TNA and transitioning from wrestling to music.

Wrestling kind of helps open doors but going from one industry to another its kind of like, “Oh, I don’t know … she’s that one wrestling chick.” People kind of look down on wrestling because its not exactly sport and its not exactly acting.

Dodean talks about her ping pong strategy and her go to move:

It’s very important to adapt to any kind of player. The good thing for me is that I’m always ready to try new styles – my coaches and players tell me my backhand is really good, but I like to believe that any move I make is great!

Morrison talks about creating the character Damien Wayne in his Batman comic book series:

I always liked that idea and it just seemed, you know, at the start of the storyline, you want to put an outrageous thing to open with. And I love the title, Batman And Son, because it was kind of like [1960s British sitcom] Steptoe And Son, like a family business. It could’ve been “Son Of Batman” but that’s not quite as cool as Batman And Son, which is the sort of thing you’d imagine written on the side of a window cleaner’s van. And it seemed like a really good thing to slap a paternity suit on Batman suddenly and have him confront this specter of his past.

Parade interview

wendy-williams-ftrWilliams gives a tell all interview with Parade. During the interview Williams talks about her career, family and the one question she will not ask any woman.

No. The only thing that’s off-limits for me is asking a woman why she doesn’t want kids. I’ve had a bunch of miscarriages, and I begged God for little Kevin. But it was a difficult pregnancy, not a joyful time for me. I’ve learned that it can be a very personal thing to ask someone about.

The Talks interview

Langella gives an interview to The Talks. He discusses whether he likes being the center of attention, thinking about women, and regretting things everyday.

Oh sure. I made so many mistakes. And I am not against self-pity. I don’t think you should disallow yourself those feelings. If you want to feel sorry for yourself, roll up in a ball, lie over there, and feel sorry. Then get up and go on, but do allow yourself those feeling. Yesterday I was walking around in London and I thought, “Oh, I really regret that I didn’t take more time when I was here for a year doing Frost/Nixon.” Then I thought, “I can still do it.” And I forgave myself.

Holly speaks about his first gimmick in WWE:

Honestly it was a gimmick in wrestling but I really do race cars in real life. Back in the eighties and early nineties everything in wrestling had a cartoon character theme to it. When I had a meeting with Vince (McMahon) and JJ Dillon they hired me and said they would send my contract in the mail, when it arrived it had Thurman ‘Sparky; Plug on it.

Rashad discusses her career and her latest stage directing projects in this interview for PBS. On directing vs. acting:

Well, first of all, it’s working with the entire production and the entire creative team. You know how that works, how that happens, how to galvanize energies to move in alignment with a vision as the vision is developing. That’s an amazing thing. It’s an amazing experience for me.

The European Magazine interview

Branson tells The European Magazine that entrepreneurship is a crisis fix:

With staggering youth unemployment figures today I believe we need to encourage the use of terms like innovation and innovative as entrepreneurship offers some hope and an alternative to the traditional career path.

Fear of disruption holds ideas back:

Most people are too anxious to destroy. The iPod effectively destroyed the selling of records. To the detriment of the music industry but for the benefit of the public.

The new innovation with the best potential:

There’s a wonderful new company in New Zealand called Lanzatech that has invented a way of turning the waste products that go up the chimneys of steel and aluminium plants into aviation fuel. Recycling at its best. Once day all planes could operate on this fuel.

Future of News interview

Highfield talks to Future Medialab about the future of news, responding to the question: In five years’ time, how do you expect news to have changed?

In some way, news will be the same, people will still want to know what’s going on around them, particularly local and regional news news. The want to know things that matter in their community. What will change profoundly is the medium through they get their news. Increasingly on mobile people want utility information: traffic, travel, weather, breaking headlines, sports results. And in the newspaper they want more in-depth, investigative journalism. Things they can pore over for longer.

Hollywood Reporter ‘Measurement Crisis’ Q&A

In an interview with The Holywood Reporter, Yaccarino addresses the ‘Today; show slump, NBC’s programming challenges and the impact of the platform agnostic consumer.

There really is no media company like ours. I suspect that if you were able to design a media company of the future it would look a lot like this company.

On measuring consumer behavious:

We have a measurement crisis on our hands. Measurement is lagging considerably behind consumer behavior and we have got to get to a point where all viewing or interaction with content is measured on any screen. And we need to accelerate the evolution to that. It’s not just a digital issue. Obviously there’s vulnerabilities in that space as well. It’s very, very frustrating.
