De Palma gives an interview to The Talks. He discusses violence in film, trying to get different ratings, and getting final cut.

We were very lucky in our generation. We got final cut. We were in the era of the director superstar. Very few directors have final cut today. Obviously Spielberg does and Scorsese, but there aren’t too many. And the new directors are constantly not getting final cut so you have to battle with the studios to make sure that they don’t alter your movie. You can’t make very controversial movies.

Kharma discusses being the third woman to ever compete in the WWE Royal Rumble:

It was extremely surreal to be only the third woman ever to participate in the actual Royal Rumble match after Chyna and Beth Phoenix so that is an historical thing. And with me being a woman of colour I could always say I was the first black woman to be in the Royal Rumble match (laughs).

Hill discusses his career and the eighth season of the USA series, Psych, in this interview for PBS. On being where he is in his career:

What I really try to do is just maximize. I don’t really know. I don’t believe that anyone in this world does everything all by themselves. I don’t believe in “I pulled myself up by my bootstraps.” There’s too many things that have to happen for you to sit here and for me to sit here. No matter how committed you are, how talented you are, how focused you are, millions of things have happened just for you to sit right here.

Colangelo speaks about the aspects of hiring a professional head coach for the USA Basketball team:

I think it’s kind of a neutral thing for me because on one hand I do know that there’s a little bit of jealousy involved and I think some organizations’ owners, managers and coaches would feel that someone had an edge if it was an NBA coach who got the opportunity to start spending time with all these players like we do. I can understand that, but it was like that way in ’92, ’96 and 2000 and 2004. Life went on. I do think this, USA basketball is an entity that is on the board controlled by the NCAA and the NBA, and I as chair kind of straddle this whole situation. I can build a strong case for saying different people should get different opportunities and we should kind of move it around a little bit.

Krzyzewski speaks about conference realignment:

It’s happening, so we have to deal with it, but I think a lot of people who make those decisions, they don’t feel that decision or the impact of the decision. … In other words, the people who made the decision at Maryland were not part of the Maryland history. It was kind of a hidden thing, like a two- or three-person decision, really. All of the sudden you see that could be the last Duke-Maryland game in College Park. Well, that’s reality. When you make these decisions, it’s not about the big splash. It’s about the splash and whatever ripples would occur.

I am an Irish legend. I’m a living legend. I see myself as the champ already…I saw myself as the champ from day one. Before I even started training I always saw myself as the champ. That’s how I see myself. I see myself already there. I visualised this conversation. I visualised this conversation. I’ve visualised the walk out. I have shots picked out that I’m gonna throw in five weeks. You see it in your head,  you’re gonna see it when you arrive.

Guerrero gives his thoughts on his upcoming fight with Mayweather:

Being versatile in the ring. I’m versatile in the ring. You look at all my films and my previous fights and I never fight the same style. I come in different. I can fight on the inside or outside, I can be a boxer or a puncher, I can just be a boxer, a slugger, I’m able to change it up and be versatile in the ring also. It makes it much more challenging. Also being a left-hander that’s not scared to fight. Not scared to throw punches and get in there and take a shot so that’s what Floyd respects too in the ring. It’s going to be a dogfight.

Ziggler discusses his WWE character and fans with The Sydney Morning Herald.

I love doing this, so it’s a character but it’s also me. I really enjoy entertaining and we have people who are getting cheered and doing the right thing, but I’m not a nice guy in person so I enjoy capitalizing on that. I don’t instantly hate everyone who’s a good guy but when I back it up, it makes people that much angrier.

Moore discusses writing the movie Whitest Kids U’ Know:

Yes! We’re working on it – we’re almost done with the script. We’ve been working on it for over a year, but we would start and then just be like, no, we don’t like this idea. We’d trash it and then come back to it, then we came up with the one we like, and then it moved really fast. It’s a linear movie, but it’s a little early for me to tell you what the plot is…

Fighting Spirit interview

Hogan talks to Fighting Spirit magazine. Hogan discusses Bret Hart and his issues with the fellow performer.

The main-event guy made the most money when he had the belt. When I was the (WWF) champion, I made the most money. It was an old rule that Vince (McMahon) Sr. had that, thank god, was passed on for quite a while. That changed when Bret Hart became champion; he’d work for a lot less than anybody else, so it changed everybody’s pay.

Stevens speaks about his Butler Bulldogs selling out arenas all across the United States:

They really are. Plus, you add to that that Fordham’s best player, who is a double-double average for his career, hadn’t played in seven or eight games and he comes back to play against us and almost single-handedly had us on the ropes. So it was a great environment, a great challenge for us. … I was really worried about the fact that I thought we were going to be tired. … But one of the things we talked about was how exciting it is to play in New York City … and I think that adrenaline was a good thing for our team.

Roberts speaks about working with Andre the Giant in WWE:

To have that opportunity, to have him go out there and do the job that he did with me I am grateful. By the time I wrestled him his health was failing, he couldn’t get around easily, he had trouble moving and it was damn near impossible if he was down to get him back up. Working with all of those things I was also very proud of myself and my work with him.
