Macfarlane is interviewed by Larry King on The Larry King Live Show. He talks about his first job on a newspaper as a cartoonist at age nine, his inspiration from The Simpsons.
Like all nine year olds, I was really into Walter Kronkite.
Maxim Interview
Grohl talks about recording the new Foo Fighters album, Wasting Light:
No, this is definitely a Foo Fighters record, and I’m the one steering the ship. With Nirvana there was never any doubt that Kurt was the driving force. Having said that, I think this is by far the most rock record that we’ve ever done. That was our intention, and that’s why we did it with Butch. It has to sound huge. It has to feel big.
Tyrese interview
Williams interviews Tyrese Gibson and questions him on his book How To Get Out Of Your Own Way. In the book and during the interview Gibson tells why he thinks men cheat.
I don’t have all the answers but I can say that most mothers raise their daughters to believe that if you cook, clean, take care of your man, that will keep him home. But unfortunately that’s not the truth. But what I would say to my daughter once she gets older and starts dating is if you end up being cheated on. Don’t own the cheat. Don’t make the cheat yours. It was like he seen something in that skirt, those legs and whatever the case may be and decided to dip off but if he cheats then that spaghetti wouldn’t keep him there.
Elle Magazine interview
Pattinson gives interview to Elle about being cast in the novel based film Bel Ami co-staring Uma Thurman.
Amazing. One of my favorite (books). The script was really good too; Duroy has kind of changed a little bit. He’s so cynical in the book, but now he’s so convinced that he knows everything and that he’s been wronged, that he ends up being very earnest. He realizes that the whole world he lives in is based on a lie; it angers him so much that he basically wants to burn the whole thing down and in trying to enjoy everything, he becomes what he hates most: a pompous little shit.
Art of Wrestling interview
Gallows is a guest on The Art of Wrestling to discuss WWE and his first deal with the comany.
I’m driving home from my show and Dreamer calls me to tell me I’m getting a developmental contract. So I pulled over and just cried.
Into the Night interview
Napier talks about winning the 2011 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship:
The key was just try to disrupt them offensively. That was by pressing the ball at the full court, try to allow [Shelvin] Mack to not get the ball. We felt like if he [Shelvin Mack] had the ball in his hand and controlling the pace it’s going to be tough for us to guard because he’s a great shooter. I felt as though once they got the ball in the middle our guys, Alex Oriakhi and Charles Okwandu, I felt like they played great defense. They disrupted a lot of shots and that left us to get easy rebounds and to press the break on them. I felt like we pushed everything on them and we just applied great defense.
ESPN Radio Chicago interview
Calhoun speaks about if he will coach next season:
I fully plan on coaching basketball next year. You know, once again, we’ll have time in the next couple of months as I settle down, as we kind of look over everything, and I fully expect that I would. … I’ve always been in love with basketball, I’ve never fallen out of love with basketball, but this team reaffirms me that kind of what we’re doing is worthwhile because the kind of kids you have.
The Dan Patrick Show interview
Stevens talks about the aftermath of Butler losing to Connecticut in the NCAA Men’s National Basketball Championship game:
Really difficult, but you never prepare for that last locker room. But, we were one of two teams that knew we were going to have our senior sendoff. And we were really fortunate that that was the case. But it was really hard, our guys wanted to shoot the ball better, there’s no question about that. And anytime you go 12-for-64 you’re not going to win. But it’s kind of remarkable that if we had shot 25 percent, we would have been one possession down with a chance to win the game.
DePaul University interview
Rowell talks about the eighteen years she spent in foster care. She says that her strong ambition and driven nature stems from the care, love and support she received from her several foster parents.
My life was woven together by five foster mothers. They were women who tried to do the right thing by making me feel loved and safe
Dancing With The Stars elimination
Williams gives an interview backstage after filming Dancing With The Stars and discusses her feelings on her elimination.
I’m relieved. I’m getting on a jet plane and going back to everything that’s near and dear to me that I’ve neglected personally for this six-week journey. I have a 10-year-old son and any parent knows that 5th grade and being 10 is a child on the brink! I have a 12-year marriage and a talk show that demands my attention, too.
XTRA Sports in Phoenix interview
Fredette speaks about the influence Nash has had on his career:
I’ve watched him my entire life and he’s been a big influence in my game, just the way that he can get into the lane and be able to finish at the rim, no matter how he shoots it. … And just how he can handle the ball and nobody can take it from him. He’s almost daring them to come get it so he can go by them.
Grady and Big Joe interview
Collier talks about Butler making it to the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship game:
You have to have a lot of things come together. Mostly, you have to have a team made of players, and don’t miss that they’re the ones that are making the shots, blocking out, playing together, playing hard on defense. And you’ve got to have a coach that can bring all those players to the school and get the most out of them. … We’ve got some good things going at Butler. As far as what affects recruiting, we’ve got a great school … we’re in a great city … and we’ve got a beautiful campus.
Dan Patrick interview
Stevens talks about an upcoming game against Virginia Commonwealth:
So, all you have to do is stop them from shooting threes? Easier said than done. I think one of the things you are talking about is you better guard them with a huge sense of urgency because they are rolling like maybe no other team I can remember in the NCAA Tournament, probably rolling as much as North Carolina was two years ago when they won it.
Elle Magazine interview
Burrell gives interview to Elle about what he did that broke his mom’s heart.
I was never a particularly promiscuous person. And I had some short relationships, but I only had one true one-night stand. And it was one of the least pleasant experiences of my life. I would take it back if I could.
Mike Francesa interview
Calhoun talks about an upcoming game against Kentucky in the NCAA Final Four:
That changed a little bit. When we played them early they were a drive team. John (Calipari) put that drive and dish offense in. They were really good at driving and very good at running, but quite frankly when they dished they didn’t make threes. Well they were 12 of 22 in the North Carolina game on threes. Quite frankly you have a really tough situation where you’re guarding the elbow and how much you cheat to get in to stop the drive but make sure you prevent the three. So we have our work cut out for us, but they got probably some work cut out for them too.
ESPN Radio in Chicago interview
Kryzyzewski gives his thoughts on why people hate Duke:
To be quite frank with you, there are more people who love Duke. We’re as popular a team in the United States, but we are also a hated team because we have won and it is okay. I had John Thompson on my Sirius XM show and he talked about anger based on competition, it’s competitive anger. I am okay with that, with somebody saying I want Duke to lose because they have won. When you attack the standards that our guys have had, that’s a different type of anger and then you should get help because then you got a problem, and it is not my problem, it is your problem. But competitive anger I’m good with.
Art of Wrestling interview
Bourne is a guest on The Art of Wrestling to discuss Ring of Honor, WWE and backyard wrestling.
When I wrestled in the backyard, I used to put on a mask and pretend I was Rey or something. I actually showed some of my tapes to Homocide. I’m actually proud of some of those matches.
The 2 Live Stews interview
Calipari discusses losing players to the NBA:
No. Every year, every time we’ve lost a guy after a year, everyone’s said ‘You can’t do this, it doesn’t work. You can’t this…’ You’re trying to help these kids reach their dreams and if they really work hard and we have a heckuva year and they have the opportunity to leave after a year, I’m not going to talk them out of it. … Last year we lost four freshmen. … We lost seven players, significant players. And guess what? We’re fine.
WFAN interview
Hopkins speaks about performance enhancing drugs:
No I haven’t and anybody that does that they should wind up like that track star. What’s her name? (Host: Marion Jones?) Because the bottom line is, look there are so many fighters, so many trainers, football players, and basketball players that don’t need to do any of that stuff and just go on their talent and what they do. I’ve been a clean living guy and that’s why I’m boxing at 46-years old.
Alyssa Milano interview
Milano talks to Piers Morgan on Piers Morgan Tonight about raising money for charity through twitter.
I believe that Twitter is the closest thing that we have to time travel.
