Knowles gives an interview to Access Hollywood on the set of her music video Best Thing I Never Had. During the interview Knowles is questioned on her goals for the future and where she hopes to be in life by the age of 40.

Forty, that’s a good one. Before I hit the age of 40, I’d love to have some children. I would love to direct, continue to learn videos and maybe by then a film, a short film. I love documentaries.

Jericho talks about how his WWE career influences his acting career:

I would love to do more acting. Obviously when you work in the WWE as a wrestler you act and I’ve played a character for years. I enjoy that and love playing a part or character, so that is the one thing I would like to do more of for sure. I haven’t wrestled in the WWE since September, so I have a lot more time to do some of these things that I’ve always wanted to do and I think that acting is next on my list of something I want to get more experience in.

The Talks interview

Schnabel gives an interview to The Talks. He discusses why commercial success doesn’t interest him and whether he prefers film making or painting.

I prefer to paint; I don’t have to translate anything. I don’t have to know if it is good or bad while I am working. I don’t want to think when I am working. Even if I am making a movie, I get to a point where I throw the script away. I know what I want people to do and ultimately it is a spontaneous kind of activity. They need to be able to feel comfortable enough to trust me so they can do something and know I won’t let them get hurt. They end up feeling that way and that is why the movies are good. But I prefer to paint.

Steen is a guest on The Art of Wrestling to discuss his earliest memories of professional wrestling.

I always knew something was up. My dad never called it fake and I appreciate that but he said, “They’re not actually trying to hurt themselves,” I just though, “Yeah they are! Look at it!”But I knew it was fixed.

Nicholson gives an interview to The Talks. He discusses how often he thinks about dying, the positive aspects of aging, and the highlights of his life.

The first screening of Easy Rider in Cannes, because I had been there before sneaking around. When I was sitting in the screening I realized that I was actually going to be a movie star. When I was over there I was pretty much already thinking about directing because I had been doing movies for 10 or 12 years by then. And everybody said I was good, but being known and not having a big film success is almost tougher than being completely new. It just kind of turned my life around and was definitely a highlight.

We called ourselves the nWo because every time they brought someone in, they put them in our stable. So we had all these guys coming in and out all the time.

Leaves ‘Transformers’ franchise

LaBeouf tells MTV that the third installment of the Transformers series will be the end for his character Sam Witwicky.  The actor says he doesn’t believe there is anywhere to take the character in the franchise. LaBeouf believes that he has learned a lot working with Michael Bay and is willing to work in the director’s future films.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon may or may not be the end of the “Transformers” franchise on the big-screen — I’m betting on “may not,” for what it’s worth — but it’s definitely the end for Sam Witwicky.

Barkley talks about a potential NBA lockout:

Well I think, and I’m not saying this because I’m in the NBA, if you go back and look, David Stern has been the best commissioner in sports the last 25 years. It would take a miracle on his part not to have a lockout and I truly believe that. I think there’s going to be a lockout, I think the owners are dug in, I think they want to send a message to these players. I think they’re really upset by this LeBron James / Chris Bosh situation, because their teams don’t have to be really good, but I feel like if they have a star in their market they can make some money. And if all the stars want to play together…we’re almost becoming like baseball where you’ve got a few good teams and the rest of them stink.

Williams comments on being selected second in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves:

It’s just a great experience for me and myself and also my family, just hearing my name being called by David Stern and walking on that stage and shaking his hand. I think that’s every basketball player’s dream and I’m finally here. I just really felt accomplished at that point.

Irving comments on adjusting to the NBA:

More or less I’m concerned about the time management at the next level. I’ve heard there’s a lot of down time. Just getting used to playing back-to-backs and flying and taking care of your body and playing again. I just think that’s a transition that I’m going to have to experience myself.

Disrupt interview

Graham sits down backstage at the TechCrunch event to talk about what makes a successful founder. Determination is key:

People’s determination does change. Some people discover some kind of inner Bill Gates, other people are the sort of people who’ve always had things easy…people think they’re determined and then they see other founders who are even more determined.

On whether flexibility is an advantage or disadvantage:

The right kind of flexibility is to have high variation in flexibility, when you’re sure of something, genuinely sure…then you should stick to that. And with other things, you should be willing to change.

McGregor gives an interview to The Talks. He discusses his motorcycle adventures, the best soundtrack to riding a bike, and whether he will let his children ride motorcycles.

Yeah, yeah, of course. I would because then I would teach them to ride. My wife would never allow it, so they won’t. They will probably never ride bikes. But I would teach them how to do it properly. I drive quite safe; I am not a particularly fast driver. I am much more interested in the feeling of it and the relaxing nature of it. If I go out and ride too fast on roads that I am not too familiar with I get in trouble and then there’s fear and that’s not what I want to experience. I drive slowly and I’m quite happy with it like that.

Krzyzewski shares his thoughts on coaching the 2008 U.S. Basketball team:

First of all, I had an incredible advantage, two incredible advantages. One, working for Jerry Colangelo, who heads USA basketball, former owner of the Phoenix Suns and really one of the top men in our country. He basically put it out there to each of the players what was expected of them and I followed up with that. Second, we said they were playing for their country, not for the Lakers or Cleveland or Miami or the Knicks or Denver. They understood that this was something bigger than any one individual. … They were marvelous. All of them, to a man, said to me, ‘Coach, whatever you want me to do, I’ll do.

Cesaro is a guest on The Art of Wrestling to discuss his career and his first memories of wrestling.

When I first saw wrestling it was the Steiners vs the Quebecers and Papa Shango casting a curse on Ultimate Warrior back during that big wrestling boom in the early 90’s.

Williams speaks about what skillset he plans to bring to the NBA:

Nowadays there’s different types of 3s and 4s. You have hybrid 4s, combo 4s, like Lamar Odom who can get the rebound and push the ball up the court. … I’m a combo forward. I can do many things on the offensive side. Even like Dirk Nowitzki, he’s a forward, but he doesn’t sit in the post all game. He shoots perimeter shots all game. There’s just different types of forwards in the league right now that I think I can take advantage of.

Fredette comments on why he declined a pre-draft workout for the Milwaukee Bucks:

I haven’t been a huge part of making the schedule. I’ve talked to my agents a little bit. We felt like it’s probably not as good of a fit for me as these other teams. I think a lot of it’s that they have a great point guard already, a really young point guard in Brandon Jennings and a guy that they’re probably going to build their franchise around. He’s worthy of that; he’s a very good player. They drafted him high and he’s a great player in this league. We felt like it was a better fit for me in terms of these other teams.

Bacon gives interview to Elle about the naked gay party scene in the film JFK with Tommy Lee Jones.

That was my first day. Oliver Stone introduces me to a boy who’s dressed like a Nubian slave and says, Maybe you guys could just be kissing? And I was like, Dude, I don’t even know this kid. I don’t think so. Luckily, there was porn playing in the background on an eight-millimeter projector, so I said, How would you feel about me just watching that and playing with myself? And he said, Oh, that’s good. No, that’s better.

Upton discusses her body maturing:

I don’t really know what the appeal is about… boobs. But I do know that when I was in junior high, I used to be made fun of — for being flat-chested. Everyone would go, She’s not pretty! She doesn’t have boobs! So I always had boob envy. And when finally I went through my growth spurt, and they appeared, and I just… I loved them. So that’s why I like boobs, because I didn’t have them, and then I got ’em. So I dunno what the appeal is for you.

Bloomberg interview

In an interview with Bloomberg TV, Graham says, to succeed, startups must improve lives.

[Startups] have to make something that actually makes people’s lives better. It’s funny how straightforward it is. People often think that business requires some sort of trickery, or you have to corner the market or something like that, but actually you have to make people’s lives better.

He says that startups should not fear competition from companies like Apple and says that out of hundreds of companies he has funded only one (Kiko’s calendar app) was killed by competition.

I spend a lot more time telling people to stop thinking about their competitors, than I do telling them to think about their competitors as a way to work harder. People who are good have this inner drive that makes them work hard anyway. The really successful companies don’t spend a lot of time obsessing about their competitors.
