I’m an overachiever, so the bucket list is endless, but I’m too focused on the here and now and try to live spontaneously. If I had to put one together it would be learn to cook, continue perfecting my Spanish, record my Spanish album. And maybe even learn to drive – can you believe I still can’t?

Stevens talks about an upcoming game against Virginia Commonwealth:

So, all you have to do is stop them from shooting threes?  Easier said than done.  I think one of the things you are talking about is you better guard them with a huge sense of urgency because they are rolling like maybe no other team I can remember in the NCAA Tournament, probably rolling as much as North Carolina was two years ago when they won it.

I’m not going to lie to you: I’ve tried things. I’m not some robot who’s programmed to be perfect. I’ve been to high school parties. And even if I’ve had a drink, it’s always in a responsible way. I did go through a phase when I wanted to try smoking, and for a minute I did. But shortly after, I just kind of realized it was gross, and I didn’t like anything about it.

Elle Magazine interview

Burrell gives interview to Elle about what he did that broke his mom’s heart.

I was never a particularly promiscuous person. And I had some short relationships, but I only had one true one-night stand. And it was one of the least pleasant experiences of my life. I would take it back if I could.

Calhoun talks about an upcoming game against Kentucky in the NCAA Final Four:

That changed a little bit. When we played them early they were a drive team. John (Calipari) put that drive and dish offense in. They were really good at driving and very good at running, but quite frankly when they dished they didn’t make threes. Well they were 12 of 22 in the North Carolina game on threes. Quite frankly you have a really tough situation where you’re guarding the elbow and how much you cheat to get in to stop the drive but make sure you prevent the three. So we have our work cut out for us, but they got probably some work cut out for them too.

ESPN Radio in Chicago interview

Kryzyzewski gives his thoughts on why people hate Duke:

To be quite frank with you, there are more people who love Duke.  We’re as popular a team in the United States, but we are also a hated team because we have won and it is okay.  I had John Thompson on my Sirius XM show and he talked about anger based on competition, it’s competitive anger. I am okay with that, with somebody saying I want Duke to lose because they have won.  When you attack the standards that our guys have had, that’s a different type of anger and then you should get help because then you got a problem, and it is not my problem, it is your problem.  But competitive anger I’m good with.

Calipari discusses losing players to the NBA:

No. Every year, every time we’ve lost a guy after a year, everyone’s said ‘You can’t do this, it doesn’t work. You can’t this…’ You’re trying to help these kids reach their dreams and if they really work hard and we have a heckuva year and they have the opportunity to leave after a year, I’m not going to talk them out of it. … Last year we lost four freshmen. … We lost seven players, significant players. And guess what? We’re fine.

Hopkins speaks about performance enhancing drugs:

No I haven’t and anybody that does that they should wind up like that track star. What’s her name? (Host: Marion Jones?) Because the bottom line is, look there are so many fighters, so many trainers, football players, and basketball players that don’t need to do any of that stuff and just go on their talent and what they do. I’ve been a clean living guy and that’s why I’m boxing at 46-years old.

Mayweather discusses a possible fight with Pacquiao:

You guys must realize this about Pacquiao, that’s just a media creation. That’s somebody who just came around. For someone to beat me would be abnormal, for someone to be him is normal because he has already been beaten three times and knocked out twice. It’s nothing new.

TV Chick interview

Interview0 Comments

Woodley gives an interview to TV Chick about the way The Secret Life Of The American Teenager approaches sex:

Having been in high school three years ago, it’s definitely a big issue. Kids are having sex with other kids and not really paying attention to the consequences. So I think it’s important — whatever your decision is, if you decide to be sexually active that’s totally fine, just make sure you protect yourself and make sure you’re safe about it because if you do get an STD, you have it for the rest of your life. And if you have a child, you have that for the rest of your life as well.

Irving talks about getting injured early in the season:

On December 4, when it first happened, I stepped back on the sideline and all of my weight was on my toe and I separated ligaments in my big toe and it just felt like nothing was there anymore, my big toe swelled up. Somehow miraculously I went back in the game and I finished out the game and when I got back to the locker room it just swelled up and I could barely move it the next day.

The Jim Rome Show interview

Rose talks about his team maintaining a high level of play:

Offensively, we didn’t turn the ball over much and we got really good shots. We shot 14-for-28 from the 3-point line and it’s kind of the makeup of this new group of guys and how we play. If we shoot the ball like that, I think we’ll be pretty tough to beat.
