Put on your sexy dress and move on. I know I’m stronger in the songs than I really am. Sometimes I need to hear it myself. We all need to hear those empowering songs to remind us.

Gomez appears on the cover of the June/July 2009 issue of Teen Vogue magazine. She talks about what she’s looking for in a guy and how she is a realist.
I used to say that I wanted someone cute and nice, an actor too, so he’d get it. But now I think it would be good for me to date someone who’s not in the business. I want someone honest, someone who’s very sweet to my family and friends, and polite to the other people around me. Being cool, having a ‘cool’ energy, is just not attractive to me… I want what I deny. I want someone who is crazy about me, who treats me like a princess. I want the picture-perfect fairy-tale stuff.

Elle Magazine interview
Zahn gives interview to Elle about a humiliating medical moment.
High school senior year, my buddies and I went down to spring break in Pensacola, Florida. We didn’t fit in at all, and of course, there was no getting laid happening. On the way back, we stopped at a Hardee’s restaurant for breakfast, and I got something stuck in my throat. I got home and said, Man, that thing is still in my throat. So I went to the hospital. And this doctor kept going, Now exactly what did you do down there at spring break? It turns out I had a yeast infection in my esophagus. And he kept trying to get me to tell him about whatever crazy sexual thing that happened, and I’m like, Man, I swear it was a Hardee’s biscuit.
Glamour cover
Cyrus appears on the cover of a May 2009 issue of Glamour magazine. She talks about the lessons that she has learned from her mistakes, her fame, and her older boyfriend.
I don’t feel like I’m doing anything wrong, and I’m ready for people to accept it. My fans already accept it—they just want me to be happy. And I haven’t been that happy in a few years…working so hard, moving to L.A. from Nashville, going through a bad breakup [with Nick Jonas]. I’m finally happy again, and I think that is reflected in my music and my work. So honestly, I don’t feel like there’s anything to hide. And I love him so much I don’t really care.
