O Magazine interview

Interview0 Comments

Fey gives an interview to Oprah for O Magazine about her impersonation of Sarah Palin on SNL.

No. I just kept thinking, I don’t work here anymore, so if this ends up being lousy, I told you guys I don’t do this. I also felt safe doing it with Amy [Amy Poehler played both Hillary Clinton and Katie Couric in the SNL sketches]. I wouldn’t have enjoyed doing it alone, because I never did anything alone on SNL.

Fey discusses getting the call to impersonate Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live:

Lorne played it cool, as he always does, and waited until the week of the first show. He called and said, Think about if you want to impersonate her. I was like, I’ll do a joke about her. I’ll do a sketch where I’m myself. I’ll do anything except impersonate her!

Tyler gives interview to Elle about his relationship with his bands guitarist Joe Perry.

There’s that famous saying, This thing is bigger than both of us. Some guys will have terrible feelings about an ex-wife they had a child with, but after giving birth to something so beautiful, how can you hate that person? We’ve given birth to those songs.

Seventeen interview

Woodley talks to Seventeen about the serious messages of Secret Life Of The American Teenager, and about teen body issues:

I grew now but I was like super-short growing up. I was always the runt and now I’m like towering over everyone. But my family – we all just have like fast metabolisms, so we’re all lanky. I’m always like “I’m too skinny, I can’t gain weight, even when I try.” I’d like to try to not let that get to me.

Refuses federal money

Makes Statement0 Comments

Walker refuses to ask for any federal money for county projects and programs even though Milwaukee County has large budget shortfalls including $300 million for park repairs, $43 million for transit and $300 million to rebuild its mental health complex. He feels that the county and country will be better off without federal money since it contributes to unbalanced budgets.

All we are asking for is ‘do no harm.’ I’m not asking for any new projects or things to be done here. . . . The last thing you want to do is put money in hands of government, if the goal is to pull the economy from recession.

I’ve been accused by the press of giving lap dances at clubs. I mean, little ol’ me? It’s shocking. People love to believe it—it’s way more exciting to talk about than the truth! And they’re so descriptive about these lap dances. I don’t even know how to do a lap dance!

Sugar Slam interview

Interview0 Comments

Woodley talks with Sugar Slam about being a famous teenager and whether she can still do normal things like go to the mall:

Oh, definitely. I still actually only go back on hiatus in February. I’m going to go back to my high school and graduate because I’m a junior. It’s definitely different. When you go to a grocery store and you go anywhere there are people staring or pointing or whispering, and every now and then you have a brave girl come up and be like, “Are you the girl from Secret Life?” It’s neat to have that happen, but it’s also a little bit awkward because I feel like I should have a conversation with them, like, “Hello, I’m Shai. What’s your name?” versus just being like, “Oh, yes. Here’s my autograph. Bye.”

Eastwood talks about his relationship with his children:

I have children by other women. I gotta give Dina the credit for bringing everyone together. She never had the ego thing of the second wife. The natural instinct might have been to kill off everybody else. You know, the cavewoman mentality. But she brought everybody together. She’s friendly with my first wife, friendly to former girlfriends. She went out of her way to unite everybody. She’s been extremely influential in my life.

Elle Magazine interview

Cooper gives interview to Elle about his favorite moments on state during the Broadway show Three Days of Rain.

My favorite moment on stage was one night there’s a scene between me and Julia; we’re both sitting downstage, near the audience. And there was a person right in front of us, I don’t know who she was, but if I just, like, moved my eyebrow she was like, Hahahaahah! Laughing at everything I did this cackle to the point where I literally was just trying to say my lines and not move. It got to the point she’s like the third character in the play at this point. And I was looking at Julia and she just started laughing and I started laughing, and it’s like, Oh my God, I am not going to be able to stop laughing and there are a thousand people watching us right now.

Burns gives interview to Elle about what film character he most identifies with sexually.

George Peppard in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, because of the idea that I was the straitlaced savior type who could rescue the wounded bird. In my twenties, that was definitely my MO.
