He played like he wants to be MVP.

Coach Kerr:

He never says anything about it. But you better believe he wants it.

We tried to mix up our coverages a little bit because he came out making shots from everywhere. It pretty much just didn’t matter. He made shots with a hand in his face, off balance, deep, everything. He just had it going.

We look at ourselves as an elite team. We feel like we can play with anybody and we can beat anybody on any given night. We just got to go out there and play that way.

Curry:

I thought I drew the foul on the pump fake because he kind of came to me and I got contact. The ball dropped and there was obviously no whistle. I got it right back and I had pretty clean look after that that I thought was going in.

Pondexter:

We had a heck of a game down the stretch. Everyone’s hungry. We’re young guys, but we’re learning how to win.

Great scene in there, and I wasn’t really thinking about the significance of the record. Those guys were. They presented me the ball, and how lucky am I to coach these guys in my first year? Ridiculous.

Coach Carlisle on Dallas’ consecutive loses:

We don’t think it’s serious.

Igoudala on Golden State reserves performance:

We’ve got a thirsty bench. Really thirsty. I don’t know if there’s enough water.

Livingston on flagrant foul in Nowitzki:

He kind of sat back to create space with his lower area, and it was just bad timing. Eleven years in the league, I haven’t had a dirty play. It looked worse than it actually was.

The man is tough. They run him off a ton of screens. Three of those shots I was in his chest and he still made them.

Curry:

I knew he was trailing and I thought I could make a move toward the basket and get some creativity in between,As soon as I saw him kind of go down, I knew I had to shoot it and just see what happened. You kind of get a little adrenaline rush because those are kind of cool moments. Thankfully, the shot went in. I didn’t see the bench’s reaction, but they said everybody was going crazy.

Thompson:

We weren’t playing that well but that’s what we’ve been doing all year: bouncing back.

KNBR in San Francisco interview

Interview0 Comments

Curry speaks about becoming a point guard in the NBA:

If you watched highlights of my college career, my first two years, my freshman and sophomore years, all I did was come off screens and pretty much shoot.  I played the point guard for about three minutes per game.  Then last year, my junior year, that was something that I knew I had to work on if I was gonna make the transition to the NBA.  I played full time point guard, had to do a lot of scoring, but at certain points, you’re gonna see double teams and more aggressive defenses and you gotta be able to distribute the ball where is supposed to go to make the easy shot.

Curry comments on staying at Davidson for an additional season:

I’m 53% staying, 47% going right now. Just getting closer to the meeting with my parents.  I had my first meeting with coach yesterday and he was pumped.  Apparently they’re trying to get the Southern Conference tournament moved to my hometown in Charlotte next year.  That was a nice little kicker.
