Ambassador arrested
The Vatican says that former Holy See ambassador Józef Wesołowski has been placed under house arrest and will face a criminal trial over child sex charges. The action against 66-year-old Wesołowski is the first time the Vatican has charged a high-ranking official with paedophilia. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
Arrested for domestic violence
McDonald is arrested and held without bail for a felony charge of domestic violence only three days after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell implements new rules for players charged with domestic violence. The 49ers statement:

14-year-old ‘jihadi’ girl arrested
French authorities arrest a 14-year-old girl in the western city of Quimper on suspicion that she is planning to conduct jihad in Syria. She is moved to Paris to be questioned by an anti-terror judge on possible connections to the disappearance of another 14-year-old girl from the Paris area in June, as part of an enquiry that has also led to the arrests of a 15-year-old and 17-year old girl a week earlier.
Assault rifle found, arrested
Irvine police department obtained a search warrant on Jeezy’s tour bus where they find an assault rifle that belongs to Jeezy. Jeezy and several members of his entourage are arrested for gun possession. He is held on $1 million bail and is still in custody.
Teen girls arrested for jihad plans
France arrests two girls aged 17 and 15 in Lyon, Rhone, and Tarbes in the Hautes-Pyrenees for alleged involvement in jihad. The arrests form part of a broader enquiry into jihadism in the country. Around 900 French citizens are implicated in jihad – meaning that they have either taken part in a conflict, plan to participate in one, or are returning from one. Both girls are reported to have been planning to travel to Syria to join militant activities there. Paris-based international security consultant Samuel Laurent:

Home invasion arrests
Phoenix, Arizona, police arrest three male suspects believed to have attempted the burglary at Bryan’s home. Alexander Olvera, Edwards Alexander Johnson, and Gilberto Gil Gastelum are all taken into custody.
Arrested
Couture-Rouleau is arrested on suspicion of planning terror actions abroad. He is preparing to leave Canada to travel to Turkey. He is released after questioning. Federal police spokesman:
We weren’t able to determine that he wanted to commit an act abroad. If we had had reasons to believe that Mr. Rouleau would commit a terrorist act or a criminal act, we wouldn’t have let him go.
‘Death to Jews’ arrests
Two 32-year-old men are arrested in connection with an investigation into chants at a Hague protest. The public prosecutors office says the men, one from Amsterdam and one from the Hague, are suspected of inciting violence against a population group on the basis of their beliefs and race after it determines that they chanted ‘Death to Jews’ at the protest. Man who gave suspects gun identified
Federal prosecutors file charges against a Cambridge, Massachusetts man saying he supplied the gun to the Tsarnaev brothers that was used to kill MIT police offer Sean Collier three days after the bombing. Drug and firearms charges filed against Stephen Silva last week are made public. The indictment states he had a Ruger model 95 9mm pistol with the serial number obliterated as of February 2013; this is the same kind of gun was used to kill Collier.
Arrested for selling untaxed cigarettes
Garner is confronted by police when he sells illegal cigarettes, he raises both hands in the air and tells the officers not to touch him. Officers grab Garner, place him in a choke hold and pull him to the sidewalk. Garner:
I can’t breathe! I can’t breathe!
Kidnapping ringleader arrested
The alleged ringleader of the 2014 Israel kidnappings has been arrested in connection with the abduction of 19-year-old Eyal Yifrach and Naftali Fraenkel and Gil-ad Shaar, both 16, from a West Bank hitching post and their subsequent murder. Hussam Kawasme, a 40-year-old resident of the West Bank city of Hebron, is detained while trying to cross the border with Jordan with false documents/ His arrest and investigation will remain secret for close to a month before being revealed to the public in court proceedings over whether punitive demolition of homes belonging to him and other suspects in the case can be carried out.
Prostitute charged in executive’s death
A high-end prostitute is charged with the death of Google executive, Timothy Hayes. Video taken on November 23, 2013 aboard Hayes’ yacht shows Alix Catherine Tichleman injecting Hayes with heroin and then leaving the yacht. The police statement reads:
Rather than provide first aid or call 911, Ms. Tichleman proceeds to gather her belongings including the heroin and needles.
Police say Tichleman stepped over Hayes’ body several times while preparing to leave the yacht, including stepping over him to finish a glass of wine. Hayes had an “ongoing prostitution relationship” with Tichleman.
DWI arrest
The wide receiver is arrested for DWI in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is currently out on $500 bond and is already facing a potential 1 year suspension from the Cleveland Browns. Browns general manager Ray Farmer comments

Public Intoxication Arrest
The actor is arrested for public intoxication after becoming disorderly and yelling at security at a local Dallas bar named Katy Trail Ice Bar. According to witnesses he was at the bar for four hours drinking. After appearing to try to leave without paying the tab he was confronted by security and a fight ensued. Short was then arrested by off duty police who work at the bar.
He was like a dog with a bone who wouldn’t let it go.
California man arrested
Authorities arrest 20-year-old Orange County native Adam Dandach, also known as Fadi Fadi Dandach, as he is about to board a flight bound for Istanbul. A detention order shows that under questioning, he says that he planned to travel to Syria:
[…] that he would assist ISIS with anything the ISIS asked him to do, and that he believed the killings of U.S. soldiers are justified killings.
He is detained as a flight risk and a danger to his community, and indited on two felonies relating to his replacement passport, after authorities discover that his mother hid his original passport to prevent him flying overseas. The detention order:
Dandach stated that he was more disappointed that he did not get to go to Syria than in getting in trouble with law enforcement
‘Cabaret’ arrest
During a performance of Cabaret at a New York City theater, the actor is arrested for criminal trespass and misconduct. LeBeouf was smoking in the theater and slapping strangers on the rear end in addition to yelling loudly at the actors on stage during Act 1. According to the complaint, he was asked to leave and refused, yelling obscenities at the security guard. He was removed from the theater in handcuffs and charged with five counts of disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, and harassment.
Arrested
After nearly two years on the run, Sunde is captured in Skåne, Sweden by a special police force. He is to spend his sentence in Västervik Norra.

Baldwin is arrested in N.Y.C for riding down Fifth Avenue in the wrong direction. After receiving two summons, he is released and returns home to his family. He responds to the events by replaying the event on his Twitter account. His tweets tell fans that his family is frightened by the paparazzi parked in front of his home. He posts the name and the badge number of the officer who arrests him. He ends his Twitter rant by vowing to move his family back to Los Angeles.
Assault charges
Police in Gatineau, Quebec arrest Brazeau on suspicion of domestic violence after an altercation at a private residence in that city. He is accused of fighting with Vanessa Brixton while intoxicated, and of making threats against an unnamed man also present at the scene. Authorities also found a “small amount” of cocaine in Brazeau’s possession during the arrest. A spokesman for Prime Minister Stephen Harper:
Mr. Brazeau has been suspended without pay and is no longer a member of this caucus.
Colorado woman arrested for conspiracy
Colorado resident Shannon Maureen Conley, 19, is arrested and charged with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists as she attempts to board a flight out of Denver airport. She has allegedly admitted to authorities that she is planning to travel to the Turkish border to meet an ISIS member that she met over the internet. Conley, a certified nurse’s aide, allegedly told authorities that she planned to become the man’s wife and serve as a nurse in an ISIS camp, during a series of seven interviews conducted during the five months before her flight after she was reported for suspicious behavior. She faces up to 15 years in prison if found guilty.
