Karlie and I met several months ago to discuss the many things she hoped to do in her life and career. As we talked, it became clear she would not have the time to fulfill her myriad commitments. Suspended indefinitely
NASCAR suspends Busch indefinitely after a family court judge in the state of Delaware rules that Busch abused his ex-girlfriend Driscoll.
Given the serious nature of the findings and conclusions made by the Commissioner of the Family Court of the State of Delaware, NASCAR has indefinitely suspended driver Kurt Busch, effective immediately. He will not be allowed to race nor participate in any NASCAR activities until further notice.
Duff, Comrie divorce
Duff files for divorce from Comrie citing irreconcilable differences. Duff asks for primary physical custody of their son, but will allow Comrie to have visitation, even though sources say she’s concerned Comrie’s partying and drinking could adversely affect their child. Duff’s mom, Susan:

Exec found dead
Parks and Recreations executive producer Harris Wittels found dead at his home from a possible drug overdose. Wittles’ assistant is the first to find his body and to call 911. He is pronounced dead at 1 pm local time.
Critical condition
Woolf is in critical condition after being struck in the head by an SUV’s side mirror as he crossed a Hollywood street. The driver of the car is not cited in the accident as Woolf was allegedly jaywalking.

Breast cancer
Rodriguez reveals that she is has breast cancer in her blog ChemoCouture.
On September 24, 2014 at age 30, I was diagnosed with stage 2B ductal carcinoma: in-situ and invasive. Fancy words for breast cancer. Now as far as cancer goes, I have the Cadillac of tumors. It’s slow growing, highly treatable and not really interested in spreading. My doctor calls it an ‘old lady cancer.’ I always knew I was ahead of my time!

Fans petition casting
Fans of the 1989 cyberpunk manga Ghost in the Shell have been petitioning Scarlett’s casting as the Japanese cyborg heroine, Major Motoko Kusanagi, for a 2017 live-action film.
An online petition created by Julie Rodriguez has already amassed 38K signatures demanding DreamWorks Studios replace Scarlett with an Asian actress.

Mother dies of lung cancer age 80
Roberts’ mother, Betty Lou Motes, dies at St John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California, after losing battle to lung cancer. She had been living with the actress’ family at their home in Los Angeles.
Cancerous tumour
Dickinson announces he is being treated for a cancerous tumor on his tongue. Band statement:
Just before Christmas, Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson visited his doctor for a routine check-up. This led to tests and biopsies which revealed a small cancerous tumour at the back of his tongue. A seven week course of chemotherapy and radiology treatment was completed yesterday. As the tumour was caught in the early stages, the prognosis thankfully is extremely good. Bruce’s medical team fully expect him to make a complete recovery with the all clear envisaged by late May. It will then take a further few months for Bruce to get back to full fitness. In the meantime we would ask for your patience, understanding and respect for Bruce and his family’s privacy until we update everyone by the end of May. Bruce is doing very well considering the circumstances and the whole team are very positive.
Branch, Landau divorce
Branch files for divorce from Landau citing irreconcilable differences. Branch also requests joint custody of their daughter. The couple has been separated for nearly one year. This ends a decade-long marriage.
Sworn in
Brown is sworn in as governor. She replaces four-term governor John Kitzhaber who resigned earlier in the week.

Jerome Kersesy dies age 52
Kersey dies at age 52. The cause of death is not immediately known. Portland Trail Blazers owner Paul Allen:
Today we lost an incredible person and one of the most beloved players to ever wear a Trail Blazers uniform. My thoughts and condolences are with the Kersey family. He will be missed by all of us. It’s a terrible loss.
Tour crew members stabbed
Two members of Minaj’s touring crew are stabbed after an incident at Che Bar & Grill in Philadelphia. De’Von Pickett dies from his wounds, while Eric Parker is in critical condition at a hospital. Minaj announces the news via her Twitter and Instagram pages.

Gardner plans to resigns from the company in order to serve, with her husband, a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Gardner and her husband are assigned to the Hawaii Honolulu Mission.
Ceramic painting during factory visit
The Duchess of Cambridge visits Stoke-on-Trent to tour the headquarters of Emma Bridgewater, a pottery company that specializes in artful designs. The visit is part of her work with East Anglia Children’s Hospices [EACH], which is to benefit from a specially made charity mug made by the company, with all proceeds going to help terminally ill children and their families.
