Sexual relationship
During their freshman year, Sulkowicz and Nungesser’s friendship deepens. According to Nungesser’s later suit against Columbia, even before they have a sexual relationship, Sulkowicz brings up the topic of anal sex:

Back in freshman year, I used to say the phrase ‘Fuck me in the butt’ to mean ‘OMG, that’s sooo annoying’. We all said stupid shit freshman year. Over time, I worked that kink out of my lexicon, but now and then I still say stupid things. We all say stupid things!
The relationship progresses to “friends with benefits”. In the spring of 2012 they have sex twice, the second time, according to Nungesser, includes anal sex, which Nungesser has not experienced before. Sulkowicz said she had tried before with other men and enjoyed it.
One of the main reasons their relationship does not become deeper was that Sulkowicz had previously been having sex with Nungesser’s close friend, known as John Doe. While Nungesser is back home in Germany for the summer, she messages him that she had tested positive for an STD (Chlamydia) after having having drunken sex at a party with John Doe, and his best friend Joe.

Whitney Houston dies at 48
Houston is last seen alive by her personal assistant at 3pm.. At 3:43 pm a 911 call by a security officer of the Beverly Hilton informs police that a woman is facedown in the tub. Houston has drowned in the bathtub. A small spoon with a white crystal like substance in it and a rolled-up piece of white paper are found in the bathroom where Houston died. Such items are used to snort cocaine. Houston’s sister in law, Pat Houston stated that she was concerned with Houston’s behavior two nights before but she didn’t think Houston was abusing drugs in her final days. Police later discovered that Houston had signs of drug use in her body. Police:
There were no obvious signs of any criminal intent at this time. To me, a sudden drop-off in the Xanax level, a drop-off in your alcohol consumption, add cocaine, that’s a recipe for a seizure. Somebody who’s now upside down in a bathtub could easily seize and drown.
Houston is survived by her daughter Bobbi Kristina by ex husband Bobby Brown.

Mental health issues
After a request to check on his welfare by Karen McAleer, a fellow Baltimore police officer, who is the mother of Rice’s son deputies go to Rice’s home in Carroll County, Maryland, about 35 miles northwest of Baltimore. Deputies report that Rice appears “normal and soft spoken” and say he had been seeking “sympathy and attention.” But citing “credible information,” the deputies confiscate both his official and personal guns, called his commanding officer and transport Rice to the Carroll Hospital Center. Te guns include his .40-caliber police pistol, a 9 mm handgun, an AK-47-style rifle, a .22-caliber rifle and two shotguns. It is not clear whther the guns were returned to Rice. The sheriff’s report says the weapons “should be returned back to owner pending determination of the (censored).”
Django Unchained
Tarantino releases Django Unchained, which stars Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio. The story follows Django, played by Foxx, who is on a quest to free his wife from slavery with the help of Dr. King Schultz, played by Waltz.
