Burns gives interview to Elle about what film character he most identifies with sexually.

George Peppard in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, because of the idea that I was the straitlaced savior type who could rescue the wounded bird. In my twenties, that was definitely my MO.

How to Get Funding

In an interview, Feld talks about the challenges for early-stage investors when raising funds:

There’s a sense among entrepreneurs that there’s a set of things that you need to do in response to what you hear from from venture capitalists that increase your chances of getting funding. Particularly challenging for first time or early-stage entrepreneurs that are going through that cycle, where they get feedback that says, ‘if only you had this, or if you only had that…’ And usually what that means is that the person you are talking to is probably not going to fund you and you should look harder for somebody that’s actually interesting funding you at the stage that your at.

Dane gives interview to Elle about him and Jack Nicholson dating the same woman.

Jack Nicholson is Jack Nicholson. The guy’s a colossal personality and I’m sure he’s charming, and I bet she had a lot of fun with him, but my take on the whole thing was, I’m 30. He’s 70. This is not going to go down like this. I couldn’t comprehend a 35-year-old woman gravitating toward a 70-year-old man.

Pink gives an interview to Oprah for O Magazine about his book A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future.

In many professions, what used to matter most were abilities associated with the left side of the brain: linear, sequential, spreadsheet kind of faculties. Those still matter, but they’re not enough. What’s important now are the characteristics of the brain’s right hemisphere: artistry, empathy, inventiveness, big-picture thinking. These skills have become first among equals in a whole range of business fields.

Franco gives interview to Elle about how he prepared to play a gay man in Milk.

You mean, how did I prepare to kiss Sean Penn? As far as the kissing and intimacy, no, Sean and I did not make out during rehearsals or anything like that. I just knew I had to be relaxed and natural or it was going to be ridiculous. So I guess, when you’re actually kissing, you try not to think about it too much. There was one shot where, I don’t know how long it actually turned out to be in the movie, but the shot took about a minute to film. We had to kiss for a minute, which is a very long time on-screen.

Wentz gives interview to Elle about the most common problems with wearing guy-liner.

Wearing it to the point where people only recognize you as “that guy who wears eyeliner. I don’t really wear it anymore because of that. I think I ended up on People‘s 50 Most Beautiful People list just because of eyeliner, which is kind of a bummer. But if you do find the right color, it will make your eyes pop. There are a couple great M.A.C eye shadows that you can blend so it looks like eyeliner gone awry. There’s a great Dior blue mascara, but it works only if you have lighter eyes than mine. And don’t wear eyeliner with too much facial hair. It looks strange.

We hooked up with Danny Elfman of Oingo Boingo who had just started to do his film composing. He did Pee Wee’s Big Adventure and Batman and he got it (The Simpsons theme) right away.

Coogan gives interview to Elle about an embarrassing moment with a woman.

About 15 years ago, I once called a woman Lisa, and her name wasn’t Lisa. After I realized this, I tried to slowly change what I’d just said bit by bit. So I went, Lisa, leeesah, theeesaah, these are really great legs. She totally bought it. Thank God I hadn’t called her Susan.

Pamela Anderson interview

The Guardian interviews Anderson about what she thinks of Sarah Palin.

I’m not a big fan. I want Barack Obama for president. I love Obama. I call Palin the helicopter huntress from hell! I want my children to have a wonderful future and it’s disturbing when I look around. Americans aren’t very well liked. A likable president would be a great start.

Webb talks about being a writer and serving in government at the same time:

I view myself principally as a writer, professionally. Writing is what I will always do, no matter what. This side of things [government service] I feel obligated to do from time to time. I sort of unwittingly started this two-track career.

Trump gives his thoughts on dressing well at all times:

I always wear a suit–looking one’s best is good for confidence. High self-esteem is important for effective performance. Dressing well is also a sign of respect, for yourself and for others. I know what I’ll wear every day, which is a suit. It saves time, and I know I’ll look appropriate. I have too much to think about to devote a lot of time to it.

Andre 3000 talks about starting a clothing line in a recession:

It’s not like we planned it this way, but it actually kind of helps. The person that I’m making clothes for doesn’t want to wear the same thing as everyone else, and so our biggest advantage is that we can be exclusive. If a man’s wearing Benjamin Bixby, you know he’s in the know.

Lady Gaga interview

DeGeneres interviews Gaga during The Ellen DeGeneres Show and asks her questions about the premiere of her latest song, Judas, her success, and the reason why she never wears pajamas.

It’s very funny. My best friends often crash at hotels where I’m at. They will come visit me on the road and they always call me a Beauty Queen disaster.  I wake up and my wig’s falling off my head. My mole is on the other side of face.  My fake mole, it’s not fake it’s surreal.

Buckley gives interview to Elle about a humiliating moment with a woman.

At the senior prom for my Catholic boarding school, I was feeling manly, so I shaved, even though I didn’t need to. Being inexperienced, I managed to slice a quarter-inch gash into my lower chin a half hour before I picked up my date. This was, you know, a major wound, but there was no time to go to the emergency room and have it stitched up. I spent my senior prom dripping blood on my date.

Beck is featured on the cover of Spin magazine with an interview inside the issue. During the interview Beck is questioned on the pressure to make hit singles and his collaboration with producer Danger Mouse.

Well, in ’98 I was gonna work with the Neptunes. I’d just recorded Midnite Venturesand was listening to the first stuff they were doing. But I took a few years off, and by the time I came back, they’d become the producers, and for that reasons I thought our musical collaboration wouldn’t be pure. When [Danger Mouse’s multiplatinum] Gorillaz record came out, I thought, “Maybe it’s the same thing, again.” But after he and I met and hung out, I decided I wasn’t gonna second-guess it.
