Well, when I was younger, lots of soul music: Motown and artists like Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Nat King Cole [and] Luther Vandross. Then, when I was a bit older (in my early teens), artists and groups like Jodeci had a big influence on me.

My style is more adventurous since I became a mom. In the past, I was into my uniform of leggings and a sweater. Now I’m willing to try bold prints, bright colors, and different cuts. Never say never, but I probably won’t ever wear booty shorts. I feel pretty confident about that.

Fox appears on the cover of the February 2013 issue of Esquire magazine. She talks about removing her tattoo, the negative aspects of fame, and staying in control.
I can’t stand pills. I don’t like drinking. I don’t like feeling out of control. I have to feel like I’m in control of my body. And I know what you’re thinking, Then why would I want to go to church and speak in tongues? You have to understand, there I feel safe. I was raised to believe that you’re safe in God’s hands. But I don’t feel safe with myself.
Cosmopolitan South Africa cover
Swift appears on the cover of the February 2013 issue of Cosmopolitan South Africa magazine.
Independence is something I’ve always needed, from when I was young, but I love the idea of romance and falling in love. I’ve never really had a long relationship. So that’s something I think about for the future. It’s an interesting part of my personality: Part of me just wants to be alone.

Vanity Fair cover
Lawrence appears on the cover of the February 2013 issue of Vanity Fair magazine. She talks about playing Katniss, walking the red carpet, auditioning for her first role.
I read the script, and it was the first time I had that feeling like I understand this. This is the first time I’ve ever understood anything. I was 14. And my brothers were star athletes. And one of them was a straight-A student. I always felt like I sucked at everything, that I could never find the thing that I liked. I auditioned and I probably sucked, but I had decided 100 percent that this is what I wanted to do.

Being offered a part is very nice, but there’s something about feeling like you really went in there and earned it. Then in times of doubt, you know they saw something in you and hired you for a reason. Because I have many moments of doubt, and that’s always been very helpful.

Origin Magazine interview
Branson tells Origin magazine that the same advices applies for men and women in business:
By just getting out there and doing it, you’re going to learn all the pitfalls. It may succeed, it may not succeed, but unless you actually try it, it’s definitely not going to succeed. I think the slogan “Screw it, just do it”–I think the same applies to women and men. Get on and give it a go. Learn from it if it doesn’t work out. Pick yourself up and try again.
Entrepreneurs should lead from the front:
Leading by fear is a lot of companies’ approach, and a horrible way for people to exist in their lives, when most of your life is spent at work. I’m sure you get the best out of people if you look for the best in them.
