Roddy: Woodley or Diaz ideal for next McGregor fight
McGregor’s striking coach says he would like to see him fight for a third belt, preferring Woodley or Diaz over Nurmagomedov. Roddy:
Maybe [Tyron] Woodley,. For me, for him to go up and compete for a third belt [welterweight], maybe Woodley. [Nate] Diaz again is another great one. I think it’s what fans would want to see. They want to see something special again, the Diaz fight again is special. The Woodley fight is special…You can’t really doubt Khabib at this stage. He’s a phenomenal grappler and a phenomenal wrestler. But I don’t know whether the excitement is there, you know? Obviously for Conor it’s about the pay-per-views. It’s about the money. Whether Khabib will hit the pay-per-views for him I just don’t know…He poses a different threat so it would be good to sort of work out what strikes are going to land on him. He can be hit as well, I will say that. He got hit a bit in his last fight.
Thompson: McGregor’s ‘too small for the 170 division’
Thompson says he is not worried about a rematch with Woodley, and that McGregor is too small to fight at 170 pounds.
Not at all (worried), man. To be honest with you, I think the UFC knows that I deserve that title shot, that I deserve that rematch. And you know what, I think that Conor McGregor’s gotta defend the 145 and the 155 title and I just think he’s too small for the 170 division. I mean, he’s walking around right at 170, maybe a little bit less. I don’t think it would be a good division for him to step up to…I think it would be a good fight no matter what. I mean, he is one of the best fighters out there and that’s what we’re out to do. We’re out to fight the best fighters in whatever division, whoever steps up…He’s already out there talking trash to Tyron and doing his thing, doing what Conor McGregor does…People show up just to see him just act nuts. Hats off to that guy, he’s a very intelligent, very smart guy.
NYT Trump meeting back on
After refusing to meet with the New York Times unless the meeting was off the record, Trump says that the meeting is back on. Trump spokesperson:
[Mr Trump] will meet with our publisher off-the-record and that session will be followed by an on-the-record meeting with our journalists and editorial columnists.
The meeting with the @nytimes is back on at 12:30 today. Look forward to it!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 22, 2016
I cancelled today's meeting with the failing @nytimes when the terms and conditions of the meeting were changed at the last moment. Not nice
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 22, 2016
Perhaps a new meeting will be set up with the @nytimes. In the meantime they continue to cover me inaccurately and with a nasty tone!

Trump won’t pursue charges against Clinton
Conway says that Trump will not pursue charges against Clinton:
I think when the president-elect who’s also the head of your party … tells you before he’s even inaugurated he doesn’t wish to pursue these charges, it sends a very strong message, tone and content, to the members. Look, I think, he’s thinking of many different things as he prepares to become the president of the United States, and things that sound like the campaign are not among them. I think Hillary Clinton still has to face the fact that a majority of Americans don’t find her to be honest or trustworthy, but if Donald Trump can help her heal, then perhaps that’s a good thing.
Ortiz: If I didn’t get a UFC share McGregor won’t
Ortiz says that if he didn’t get a share in UFC, McGregor won’t get one either.
Shit, if they’re not giving me a piece, they’re not gonna give him a piece. Congratulations to Mark Wahlberg, he invested in a great company… that I helped build.
BET Founder: ‘Let’s give Trump a shot’
After meeting with Trump, Johnson says fellow African-Americans should give Trump “the benefit of the doubt,” and hope common ground can be reached with the incoming Republican administration about issues facing the black community.
Trump is a business guy, and I think he’s going to tilt towards finding [a] way to use fiscal policy … to move the economy forward. Let’s give him a shot. Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt; see if we can find common ground. That’s what’s best for African-Americans. Black Americans should have no permanent friends, and no permanent enemies, just permanent interests. That’s where African-American voters should be
Johnson also says he does not want to work for the government.
UFC still working on ‘difficult’ McGregor Dublin fight
In the post-event press conference for UFC Belfast, the UFC says it is still working to bring McGregor to Ireland to fight.
We’re working through all the different possibilities for Conor. Obviously there are a number of things up in the air at the moment. We’ve made no secret about the fact that we’d love to figure out a way to get it done. He’s gone on to such success that it’s something which I know he’s keen to try and get done as well. It’s very, very complicated to try and bring him back, particularly to Dublin. We’ll always try and figure out the best way of getting it done if we can. We’re working on it. As long as [markets continue to grow], it makes my case a lot easier every time we go and start discussing where we put these fights. The fact that we’ve got more European champions now than we’ve ever had before means that those conversations are also easier to have. It’s a complicated business putting it all together, but if we can do, there’s no limit to our ambition for these markets so we’re going to keep pushing as hard as we can.
Henderson: Nurmagomedov would ‘beat the piss’ out of McGregor
Henderson says that after watching Nurmagomedov fight at UFC 205, he would beat McGregor:
I think that kid that fought last weekend, I have trouble with his name, Magomedov, the Russian kid, that’s at 155 — I think he would definitely give Conor a huge problem. I think he definitely would take him down and beat the piss out of him…I don’t dislike him [McGregor]. I think it took me a while to kinda get onboard with him, just to see a little bit more well-roundedness. He’s always shown that he’s got good hands, good kicks, but to see him against a couple different wrestlers that had good hands, it took me awhile to get onboard with him. I think Eddie just did not fight a smart fight whatsoever. He didn’t use his wrestling whatsoever.
Did not realise McGregor saw fight
Lee says he didn’t realise that McGregor was in the stadium when he won.
If I knew Conor McGregor was sitting front row, I would have jumped the cage – damn…All Irish guys look alike. I wish I would have known. Somebody could have told me. They’re all just red beards and bald heads to me.
He also says that, as a wrestler, he has the skills to beat McGregor, and can beat Nurmagomedov:
[McGregor]’s the champ of this division now. I said it a while ago – I’ll be the champ. He’s 28. I’m 24. He ain’t got nothing on me but some years…I think after his last fight, he said you’ve got to have some height, some reach, some weight – I’m 195 pounds outside of fighting – 77-inch reach, 5-10, a hell of a wrestler, so this fight was about showcasing that I’m the best wrestler in this division…Everybody thinks that Khabib is the best wrestler, but this is good old-fashioned American wrestling…This ain’t that sambo shit. If you want to go out there, me and Khabib, no punches thrown, I’ll (technical fall) him, 15-0. I’ll keep taking him down, and he won’t do a damn thing about it.
Praises Mattis
Trump says he has met with Mattis in consideration for Secretary of Defense. Transition team:
The President-elect and Vice President-elect were very impressed in their meeting with the ‘real deal’ and American hero General James Mattis,” according to a read-out of Trump’s meeting with Mattis provided by the presidential transition team. “They had an incredibly in-depth conversation on plans for national security.
General James "Mad Dog" Mattis, who is being considered for Secretary of Defense, was very impressive yesterday. A true General's General!

Calls out McGregor
After beating Mustafaev at UFC Belfast, Lee calls out everyone in the Lightweight division, including McGregor.
This is a division full of a bunch of bitches. I call out everybody. I’m on my way up, man. F-ck that…I reminded everyone that I am the best fighter in this division. I am the best wrestler. That’s what I came out here to show. I didn’t even care about finishing him. I wanted to show that I could keep taking him down whenever the f-ck I want to. And I would put McGregor on his back right now in this arena and there isn’t a motherf-cker in this arena that would stop me…I don’t care about the Irish, I called out Conor McGregor because I want that fight. He’s the champ right now in this division and he doesn’t have anything on me but some years. He’s 28, I’m 24. I have years to catch up with him and I wanted him to know that I’m on his ass, that’s all that was about. He’s got that target on his back and I’m one of the guys that’s chasing him.”

Defends Pence after Hamilton call-out
After Pence is called out from the stage by the cast of Hamilton, Trump tweets his support and asks for an apology;
The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!

Mayweather Snr: ‘I would put McGregor’s ass to sleep’
Mayweather Senior talks about how much he’d pay McGregor to fight.
I’d give him a penny. That’s a joke right there…If he know what’s good for his ass, he’d better go somewhere and sit down. Messing with the joy boy? No. If they want me to fight him. I’ll fight him. I’ll knock his ass out. If he fight with no feet and stuff that’s a whole different story. My son will whoop his ass anyway. I would put him to sleep. I’d put it on his ass for real.
Is McGregor the bigger trash talker:
They all talk the shit they want to talk. But, guess what, you see, I see, the world will see. when they get in the ring. Conor McGregor ain’t gonna whoop no damn Floyd Mayweather. No way…Elephant gonna step on him. Mash him. Crush him.
‘McGregor just dances around the subject of fighting me’
Woodley talks about the pair of incidents he had with McGregor at UFC 205.
I think he was trying to bait me. But the hook was taken and he didn’t do nothing with it…Before the video came out. The one he was upset about. Even though he did the shit. Don’t do it and then be mad that somebody video taped it. Anyway, even before my video came out that showed where he faked tossing the chair. Before that video came out, at the press conference he said ‘I’ll take all of those belts over there!’. So I said ‘What belts?’. And then he was quiet and didn’t say much. Never once would he mention my belt. He never would mention fighting for the welterweight title. He just danced around the subject. He never once would say ‘I will fight Tyron Woodley’. Or ‘I will take his belt’. He started planting those seeds later. I saw him doing it and was like ‘Hell yeah! I’ll plant those seeds with you.
McGregor has ‘made a mess’ of the featherweight division
Nearing the end of two years of mandatory national service, Chan (“The Korean Zombie”) talks about his upcoming return to the Octagon.
Conor McGregor has made a mess of the featherweight division. I don’t think he’ll be coming back to featherweight, though. A lot has happened in my time away. We’ll have to see what happens. We have to see if McGregor is going to defend the belt or not. I doubt it, though…I haven’t really thought about [my path to the title], I need to get a comeback fight under my belt first. Right now, that’s my focus. Of course, I want to be back in the title picture as soon as possible, but first thing’s first…McGregor is very good at what he does. Only he can get away with that kind of stuff. It’s too bad we’re not in the same division. Since I don’t think he’s coming back down to featherweight, we probably won’t get the chance to fight. But, obviously, he’s become a big star and is making lots of money. I honestly don’t know if it’s good for the sport, since he’s just looking after himself.
McGregor had staph infection weeks before first Diaz fight
Rogan says a possible reason McGregor lost the first fight against Diaz was that he had a staph infection weeks before the fight.
The guy steps in, loses to Diaz, takes the Diaz fight on short notice-by the way, after a staph infection. Here’s something not a lot of people know, he had a pretty significant staph infection and was on antibiotics until like, I think two weeks before the fight. If you don’t think that drains your gas tank you’ve never had a staph infection, and you’ve never taken antibiotics. They’re brutal on your whole body. Your body is made up of all this shit you don’t consider to be you, but it is you, stomach flora is a real part of you. Your body is essentially an ecosystem, and when you have a staph infection, staph infections are dangerous as f-ck and people die from them. So they hit you with some heavy duty antibiotics, I’ve had staph twice and it’s not fun. The first time I had it, I took the medication and I couldn’t believe how I felt. So weird, I felt lightheaded, I felt weak, I was like ‘woah’. It’s super strong stuff. I was like ‘Wow, imagine this guy 2 weeks after that.
‘I would have voted on Trump’
At his Saint Pablo Tour show in San Jose, West, as part of a 40 minute speech, says he would have voted for Trump, if he had voted. The crowd responds with boos, stunned silence. Some fans throw projectiles, including a Yeezy shoe, which West signs and returns to the thrower. West also reiterates his desire to run for president in 2020, saying his focus would be on education and that his campaign would use a different political model.
I would have voted on Trump. This is my platform and I’m going to talk about the paradigm shift that’s happening right now. Whether you voted for Hillary or Trump, this is a safe space for both of you…People who voted for either side come out to the show, I know media is more liberal, what I’m saying is I’m not judging Trump voters…There are Hillary supporters that may be louder, but MY fact is that there are people who who voted for Trump here at the show…The dumbest thing about politics is that politics separate, not one side or the other side is bad, it’s not Democratic or Republican…Stop focusing on racism. We are in a racist country – period.

McGregor ‘avoiding Nurmagomedov’
Nurmagomedov’s trainer Mendez says McGregor is avoiding his fighter:
Yes, 100 percent, he is ducking Khabib. I know that from the words he is saying. ‘He doesn’t fight enough for my taste’? Give me a break. You can say, ‘Hey, I want to fight Nate Diaz a third time.’ Fine. Say that. But don’t try to put my guy down because you are trying to avoid him. Don’t belittle my guy. That’s bullshit…When [McGregor] fought Chad Mendes, I thought it proved he wasn’t ducking anybody. But now he’s doing this and I’m thinking he’s trying to avoid Khabib. I think Khabib, [lightweight contenders] Nate Diaz and Tony Ferguson all give Conor a hell of a fight—but the guy who gives him the worst time, by far, is Khabib. He’s the strongest grappler in the division.
Says Lincoln plant will not move to Mexico
Trump says that Bill Ford has told him that the company will not move their Lincoln plant to Mexico
Just got a call from my friend Bill Ford, Chairman of Ford, who advised me that he will be keeping the Lincoln plant in Kentucky – no Mexico

I worked hard with Bill Ford to keep the Lincoln plant in Kentucky. I owed it to the great State of Kentucky for their confidence in me!
