Seacrest interviews Harris during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about hosting the 2015 Oscars.
It was unbelievable. It’s been a busy year and so much is going on. I’m actually right now traveling across the country to do book tour stuff and then right before I started that journey, they asked me about the Oscars, which turned into this whole other thing It’s going to be a gigantic show.
Seacrest interviews Gyllenhaal during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about his charterer Lou Bloom in the film Night Crawler.
He’s a very hungry character. He’s really ambitious, and he’s also, I mean, just literally hungry. We were talking about how these guys who do the work he does, which is basically go to crime scenes and accident scenes, and try to get footage to sell to the local news. These guys are kind of scavengers, they’re hunters, and kind of in the animal kingdom, they’re like the coyotes. The director and I decided that he should kind of look like a coyote cause they’re all over Southern California.
Seacrest interviews Dennings and Behrs during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about working with Kim Kardashian during the latest season of their show 2 Broke Girls. Behrs:
She’s so pretty, we couldn’t stop staring. It was probably creepy. Her face is so stunning!
Seacrest interviews Jenner during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her favorite family recipes.
I love the pasta primavera because it feeds a whole bunch of people and it’s great for family style and it’s beautiful when you put it on the table. It’s stuff I’ve been making literally since I was a teenager. I got married really young and had Kourtney really young, and stated making a whole bunch of different dishes. I went to cooking school and then every family member as everybody got older started pointing out their favorites. So this is a compilation of everything I love to cook for everyone and everyone’s favorite things I make.
Seacrest interviews Jessie J during On Air Wit Ryan Seacrest about her latest single Bang Bang ft. Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
It was his [producer Max Martin] idea. He called me and he was like, ‘I have this song called ‘Bang Bang,’ do you want to sing it? And I was like, ‘Um, yeah?’ I listened to it and went to the studio quicker than ever before. And then Ariana heard it and she’d recorded some of it also. So it was kind of a joint thing straightaway. And then Nicki heard it in the studio and she wanted to jump on it that day. So it was just natural.
Jessie J performs Burnin Up during On Air With Ryan Seacrest promoting her album Sweet Talker.
Seacrest interviews Stefani during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her collaboration with Pharrell Williams.
I feel like this whole thing is not about singles, its about the whole project.
Seacrest interviews Saldana during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about working with Channing Tatum and Diego Luna in the animated film Book Of Life.
Not two bad guys to be in between. I’ve worked with Diego before. We were in The Terminal together, so to have the opportunity to work with him again was pretty great. And I’ve known Channing for awhile and his family. So we’ve always talked, ‘We should totally try to do something together.’ So this was a great way to kind of start.
Seacrest interviews Fallon during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about his single EW ft. Will.i.am rising to number 26 on the Billboard Top 100.
Immediately I thought of you guys. Now you have to play the song, right? I couldn’t believe it. I was figuring like 99 or in the 80s or something like that. Everyone was helping me out, trying to get the song out there, but 26, I was like, ‘This is insane.
Seacrest interviews Jessie J. during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about the release of her third album Sweet Talker.
I have poured my heart and soul into this record. I am so happy to finally be able to share it with the fans all over the world!
Seacrest interviews Marino during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about his marriage proposal advice.
Give it a little thought. Don’t just kind of half-ass it. You get one shot at it, sort of like Eminem in 8 Mile. Don’t be like, ‘Oh yeah, the ring’s over there next to the Chinese food.
Seacrest interviews Handler during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her latest show Uganda Be Kidding Me Live, streaming on Netflix.
First of all, it’s going to be a lot different because I don’t have to focus on things that I’m not interested in. I think the most important thing I learned is I have to be interested in what I’m talking abut. Otherwise, it’s not interesting to viewers. I want it to be well-rounded. My interests are so much more vast than what I was able to tap into on E! I have some really stupid questions, like I want to know how a bill is passed I want to know how you make an app!
Seacrest interviews Rogen during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about his date for the Hilarity for Charity event that he is hosting.
We made a contest where you could donate $10 and you enter a raffle to be my prom date. It made like over $100,000, it’s crazy. And I finally got my prom date, but I haven’t met her yet. I know she’s from Alabama, but I haven’t talked to her. I think I’m going to Skype with her today.
Seacrest interviews Meyers during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about performing standup in Las Vegas.
I’m really excited. It’s the first time I’ve performed at the Cosmopolitan, but I’ve done Vegas a bunch. It’s a great city to do standup in. People are in a very good mood, especially if you get them early enough in the night. It’s an 8 o’clock show, so it’s before people start making terrible mistakes in Vegas. I like to be the fresh snow before they run their evenings off the side of the road.
Seacrest interviews Marsden and Monaghan during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about working with Liana Liberato in the film The Best Of Me. Monaghan:
I was [happy with the casting]. Liana Liberato, she’s an amazing young actress, really talented and really cute to boot.
My young guy was definitely an upgrade.
Seacrest interviews Garner during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her role in the film Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
For a long time, I had it backwards. I did a bunch of interviews with it backwards. I was sitting next to Steve Carell, and he finally looked at me and said, ‘Are you doing that one purpose?’ He was so nice, he wouldn’t rat be out on the air. And I said, ‘No, I’m not, thank you.
Seacrest interviews Yeun during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about his role in the fifth season of Walking Dead.
Everybody thinks I’m going to die every season, and that’s kind of the joy of playing this character. Every year, Glenn looks like he’s about to eat it. He eats a lot of it, and he just doesn’t finish the end where he’s suppose to die.
Seacrest interviews Royce during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about performing in the first iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina.
I’m excited to be a part of the lineup and just support Latin music.
On being nominated for four Latin Grammys.
It was a rough week. I celebrated by sleeping and going to sleep early that night. It’s exciting to see the Academy supporting your music and voting for you, so its just an honor to be nominated with so many legendary artists in the Latin world. So it’s an honor for me.
Seacrest interviews Aoki during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about the meaning of his term caking.
The music itself is already making people pop. It’s not like a dancey, groovy thing, it’s like people are jumping. So, to make that even crazier, I’m going out in front of the DJ booth and caking people right in the face, or getting a raft out and having fans raft over each other.
Seacrest interviews Smith during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about what kind of music he is writing now.
Well, I’m still managing to feel sad every now and then. I started writing recently and this whole experience the only way I can explain it is: If you asked me a year-and-a-half ago or two years ago, when I was at home working in a bar, if you would have asked me what I thought life would be like if I was successful and everything was how it is, I would say, ‘It’s going to be fine. I’ve been emotionally prepared for it. I’d have loads of bodyguards like Nicki Minaj and feel good. But I literally feel like I’ve been plucked out of secondary school and just put into this situation. I still feel like a beginner and still feel like I’m looking around, like, ‘What is going on? It’s all weird.’ So at the moment, when it comes to writing music, I’m starting to talk about that and talking about how uncomfortable I am in certain scenarios.
Seacrest interviews Ferguson during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about his new show Celebrity Name Game.
Basically, it’s kind of like Password, but for legal reasons, it’s nothing like Password. The name appears above a contestant’s head, the name of a celebrity they can’t see it. So I have to give them clues to guess who the person is and they have to get as many of them as they can in 45 seconds. It’s an easy game to play. It ain’t Clue.
Seacrest interviews Fergie during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her single L.A. Love (La La).
It’s my love letter to the world. It’s just saying, ‘What’s up!’ to all the people that I’ve met through the last 10 years of my life touring just everywhere. It’s me, this L.A. girl, who got to tour all around the world, meet all kinds of people, perform everywhere, and this is just my shout-out. This is my call-out to everybody.
Seacrest interviews Big Sean during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about rumors of him dating Ariana Grande.
Seacrest interviews Trove Lo during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her album Queen Of The Cloud and why its broken up into three chapters.
The segments are ‘The Sex,’ ‘The Love,’ and ‘The Pain. And I realized when I kind of put the songs together and looked at everything that I had and the order I wanted them, I realized, ‘Oh, this is kind of the pattern of my relationships. It starts very passionate and then it kind of gets scary, and you know, when you start to need this person and it’s all love, and then it ends in pain usually.
Seacrest interviews Tisdale during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her wedding and why she got married on a Monday.
It definitely was for two reasons. The 8th was our anniversary so I wanted to land on an 8th, and [thankfully] it landed on a Monday in September. Also, because I figured out like, ‘Oh, I don’t think anybody would figure this one out,’ and that was to protect the privacy of it.
Seacrest interviews Sheen during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about the tight schedule of his show Anger Management.
In about a month, we’ll have done 100 episodes and we’ll have finished the work of six or seven years in a normal sitcom schedule. It’s been a grind. We do two shows a week. Sometimes we shoot five days a week the good news about it is you don’t have a lot of time to over-think what you’re doing. The bad news is you don’t get a lot of time to prepare.
Seacrest interviews Spader during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about his role in TV show The Blacklist.
You’re going to have to wait and see. You know, it’s so difficult for me to be able to talk about out show, except in the most oblique terms. This season, though, starting tonight, certain revelations from the past hit the show immediately first episode. But as it is on our show, any revelation ends up just serving to pose more questions.
Seacrest interviews Brown during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about his new public image.
For me I had a lot of issues with my anger, a lot of issues with not knowing how to cope with certain situations, public scrutiny, the whole nine. But I think over time me being able to talk a therapist, and finding out how to deal with even my stint, and the whole rehab thing and jail made me have a different outlook on life and really focus on a more positive scale of what I needed to be doing. So I think with my music and everything else, it always was on a positive front, you know, happier level. But I just wanted to make sure that now it’s more me walking the walk instead of talking the talk. The time that I did spend in there was all-the-way reflection time. You know, being able to look in the mirror at myself and kind of just understand myself, but also love myself. Cause you know, a lot of insecurities come with being an artist and also dealing with your own issues. Especially when you almost have to do it alone. Everybody’s situation is different, but at one point I just felt like I was alone. So being able to realize that I have people who love me and support me and the right people that want to see me succeed, and you know, just my life in general, the mistakes I had made. I had a lot of time to reflect on that and really focus on moving forward and trying to change the perception of myself.
Seacrest interviews O’Brien during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about his role in the film The Maze Runner.
It’s a group of boys who are sort of just trapped in this environment called The Glade and it’s surrounded by this treacherous maze. And it’s basically an entire mystery throughout the movie. The story sort of reveals to you as it goes and my character sort of serves as the eyes for the audience. You kind of have no idea why these kids are put there and what’s on the other side of it. It’s basically an action-thriller-mystery kind of thing to figure out what’s going on and why they’re there.
Seacrest interviews Simpson during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her Fall collection fashion show at Nordstrom at The Grove in Los Angeles .
It’s exciting for me to be able to have a fashion show and to be have to have that many looks and that many design elements to display. To be able to dress someone from head to toe is pretty awesome. We have everything from boots and all different kinds of fun looks. And this time it’s a little bit more whimsical, Stevie Nicks vibe. It’s a little bit more boho this time. It will be exciting to be at The Grove, be home in L.A. and have all my friends come out and see what I do.
Seacrest interviews Spencer during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her staring role in the TV show Red Band Society.
It takes place in this world-class pediatric hospital. It’s a really coming-of-age story and there’s a bond that all of these kids share. They all have some type of illness, but at the center of it all, they’re all teenagers, and they want to just be teenagers. They want to do things that teenagers do. And a lot of them like to break rules, so then you have to have people like myself keeping them in line.
Seacrest interviews Lo during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about working with Nick Jonas in the future.
We haven’t talked about. I’ve just recently gotten to know him. He’s just a super cool guy and obviously very talented. I was really blown away by his showcase, it was great. But as far as I know, no but things can always change and happen in the future.

Seacrest interviews Lopez during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about the lifetime movie The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story.
You know, I didn’t see it, bro. And I couldn’t believe when I read in the paper it was the No. 1 most-tweeted-about thing of the week. I didn’t know I was black in a former life. I was like, ‘That’s cool, alright, I can roll with that.’ I knew I had flavor, but not that much.
Seacrest interviews Keith Urban during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about how he found out he was nominated for four Country Music Awards.
I was dropping both of my kids at two separate schools and my phone started blowing up crazy early in the morning, I must have got 15 texts in the space of about a minute. It’s crazy, it was just a beautiful morning. In our world, that’s a big thing. My wife, she was ecstatic, but she was in London. She’s over there for the premiere of this film, Before I Go to Sleep. I always chuckle because Colin Firth is in this film and I made the mistake one time of telling people, ‘Yeah, she’s in this film Before I Go to Sleep With Colin Firth.’ Punctuation is everything. Everybody wanted to see that film.
Seacrest reacts to the death of his friend and E! colleague:
Joan was a trailblazer in so many ways, and I greatly admired her talent and humor. She was a colleague and friend, as we worked together on E!, and she was also a treasured guest on my radio show many times. Regardless of the forum, Joan was full of funny, witty surprises and she had so much spirit. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Melissa and her family.
Seacrest interviews Jonas during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and asks him questions about the writing process for his new single, Jealous.
I was out with my girlfriend the night before I wrote this song … and I got heated. I was doing all this fighting training for this show I just finished up [DirecTV’s Kingdom], so I was ready to go. [But] I contained myself … and I came in the next day to the studio and wrote this song. I think it is true … a lot of people can relate with this, a lot of men, they don’t talk about it, it makes them uncomfortable. But I think vulnerability is good and it’s what makes us human.
Seacrest interviews Usher during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about his latest tour.
I’ve been busy. Just making my way back to the stage has been kind of the greatest anticipation of this year and now I’m ready. I’ll be touring on North America in 27 cities and I’m really excited about it. This will be] like no other [tour] before. Twenty years of doing this, musically, I’ve graced every stage there is, but never quite like this. This is going to be a new experience that does not arrive based off of one album, or either the launch of this most-recent album, which I’m not finished yet. I’m still working on it. I just really want to get back on the stage. You see me playing the bass, you see me playing the guitar, you see me playing the drums. It’s just a different experience.
Seacrest interviews Grande during a On Air With Ryan Seacrest and asks her questions about Nicki Minaj’s VMA wardrobe malfunction.
I don’t care. That was amazing. She’s such a pro for coming on, holding her [stuff] together like that and just, like, living and rapping and keeping it together. That was amazing. I thought she did incredibly well, especially given the circumstance.
She also reveals her next album’s title, My Everything.
I felt like A), it was one of my favorite songs on the album, and B), it was just all-encompassing. I felt like it really sort of embodied the work. And yeah, it just felt right, really.
Seacrest interviews Dorfman and Murray during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions them on how many children they would like to have in the future. Murray:
At least four.
After the first one, I think I’ll give a good answer. I don’t know yet. I would like a lot, but I don’t know how the first one goes.
Seacrest interviews Brosnan during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and asks him questions about his role in the film The November Man.
It took five years to bring it to the screen. I optioned this series of books by Bill Granger. It worked out really well. I suppose I should have picked up the gun sooner after the days of Bond. It’s kind of a hard-nosed, gritty character.
Seacrest interviews Mandel during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about his role as one of the four hosts of America’s Got Talent.
The beauty of this is if you don’t like something, you know, if you don’t like music I don’t know who doesn’t like music but if you don’t like songs or pop music, you wait 90 seconds and there’s a guy, you know, juggling monkeys. There’s something for everybody and in this world of A.D.D., we are the perfect show for absolutely everybody and the whole family.
Seacrest interview Sheeran during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about why he dissed Miley Cyrus at the VMAs.
Well, I don’t know why people were expecting that [high-five]. I’ve never met her. There was a high-five between me and Scooter [Braun] because I know him, and that was the only high-five. I don’t know what people we’re expecting. I think she’s a fantastic artist. I think she’s got a great voice, writes great songs.
Seacrest interviews VMA stage manager Gary Hood during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about Nicki Minaj’s wardrobe malfunction.
Well, I wasn’t immediately next to her, but we rehearsed that [song], obviously, in the dress. And actually the same thing happened in the dress. She didn’t quite make it. I mean, each of the performers had about two minutes There just wasn’t enough time for her [to get changed]. She came up [stage] clutching the top of her costume. So who knew? Anything could happen with her.
Seacret interviews DJ Mustard during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about why his signature phase ‘Mustard On That Beat’ was not on the track he produced for Rihanna.
She didn’t say she didn’t want it. I just didn’t use it. I didn’t want them to take it off, and I’d be like, ‘Uh, why’d you take it off?
When asked what it was like working in the same studio that Michael Jackson worked in:
When you first walk in the studio, you feel the presence of Michael. They have a thing, a glass wall with his glove and his hat, pictures. The room I work in is the room he used to work in. Upstairs from the room they call it the ‘Monkey Room’ because that’s where his monkey used to chill at while he was recording. And when you go in the recording booth, you can see, if you look up, you can see the glass the monkey looked through and watched him record his music. It’s a cool vibe and energy. It’s like history!
Seacrest interviews Charli XCX during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions her on why she almost put ghost sounds on her album Sucker.
I was in Sweden in the countryside doing some recording for my record. There was this weird vibe in this house. It was actually this huge hotel we were staying in, kind of like The Shining. We had done some research and found out that there was a woman who had drowned herself in the lake outside the house when her husband had died in the 1900s. In this documentary, it said that she still lived in the house as a ghost. So we set up a microphone and left it recording all night and at about 5 or 6 a.m., we picked up this noise that was like, ‘Oooohhhhh.’ We pitched it up three octaves and it was a woman’s voice talking it was cool!
Seacrest interviews Becky G during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions her about how work on her debut album is coming.
We’re in finish-the-album time right now. We have all the songs and lyrics and what-not. Now it’s just getting the final vocals and making sure everything is perfect. We’re looking around October [to release], when I’m on tour with Katy [Perry].
Seacrest interviews Fifth Harmony during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions them about their VMA nomination.
I feel like anybody in the category is definitely deserving and worthy of the award obviously, we want to win. Our Harmonizers go hardcore for us and I don’t put anything past them, so they could possibly make it happen.
Seacrest takes Gates up on the challenge. Before he dumps a small bucket of water on himself, he nominates Selena Gomez, David Beckham and Kevin Systrom to go next.
Seacrest interviews Meyers during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him on hosting the Emmy Awards show.
It’s coming to together well. We’re starting to lock in our ideas and write our jokes and we’re really looking forward to it. For someone like me who can’t sing or dance, the open is pretty much where we feel as though I can make the biggest impact, so that’s the biggest part for us: To have a strong monologue and just write a ton of jokes.
