Jake Gyllenhaal interview

Seacrest interviews Gyllenhaal during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about his charterer Lou Bloom in the film Night Crawler.

He’s a very hungry character. He’s really ambitious, and he’s also, I mean, just literally hungry. We were talking about how these guys who do the work he does, which is basically go to crime scenes and accident scenes, and try to get footage to sell to the local news. These guys are kind of scavengers, they’re hunters, and kind of in the animal kingdom, they’re like the coyotes. The director and I decided that he should kind of look like a coyote cause they’re all over Southern California.

Seacrest interviews Harris during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about hosting the 2015 Oscars.

It was unbelievable. It’s been a busy year and so much is going on. I’m actually right now traveling across the country to do book tour stuff and then right before I started that journey, they asked me about the Oscars, which turned into this whole other thing It’s going to be a gigantic show.

Jessie J interview

Seacrest interviews Jessie J during On Air Wit Ryan Seacrest about her latest single Bang Bang ft. Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.

It was his [producer Max Martin] idea. He called me and he was like, ‘I have this song called ‘Bang Bang,’ do you want to sing it? And I was like, ‘Um, yeah?’ I listened to it and went to the studio quicker than ever before. And then Ariana heard it and she’d recorded some of it also. So it was kind of a joint thing straightaway. And then Nicki heard it in the studio and she wanted to jump on it that day. So it was just natural.

Kris Jenner interview

Seacrest interviews Jenner during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her favorite family recipes.

I love the pasta primavera because it feeds a whole bunch of people and it’s great for family style and it’s beautiful when you put it on the table. It’s stuff I’ve been making literally since I was a teenager. I got married really young and had Kourtney really young, and stated making a whole bunch of different dishes. I went to cooking school and then every family member as everybody got older started pointing out their favorites. So this is a compilation of everything I love to cook for everyone and everyone’s favorite things I make.

Immediately I thought of you guys. Now you have to play the song, right? I couldn’t believe it. I was figuring like 99 or in the 80s or something like that. Everyone was helping me out, trying to get the song out there, but 26, I was like, ‘This is insane.

Zoe Saldana interview

Not two bad guys to be in between. I’ve worked with Diego before. We were in The Terminal together, so to have the opportunity to work with him again was pretty great. And I’ve known Channing for awhile and his family. So we’ve always talked, ‘We should totally try to do something together.’ So this was a great way to kind of start.

Ken Marino interview

Seacrest interviews Marino during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about his marriage proposal advice.

Give it a little thought. Don’t just kind of half-ass it. You get one shot at it, sort of like Eminem in 8 Mile. Don’t be like, ‘Oh yeah, the ring’s over there next to the Chinese food.

Jessie J interview

Chelsea Handler interview

Seacrest interviews Handler during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her latest show Uganda Be Kidding Me Live, streaming on Netflix.

First of all, it’s going to be a lot different because I don’t have to focus on things that I’m not interested in. I think the most important thing I learned is I have to be interested in what I’m talking abut. Otherwise, it’s not interesting to viewers. I want it to be well-rounded. My interests are so much more vast than what I was able to tap into on E! I have some really stupid questions, like I want to know how a bill is passed I want to know how you make an app!

Seth Meyers interview

Seacrest interviews Meyers during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about performing standup in Las Vegas.

I’m really excited. It’s the first time I’ve performed at the Cosmopolitan, but I’ve done Vegas a bunch. It’s a great city to do standup in. People are in a very good mood, especially if you get them early enough in the night. It’s an 8 o’clock show, so it’s before people start making terrible mistakes in Vegas. I like to be the fresh snow before they run their evenings off the side of the road.

For a long time, I had it backwards. I did a bunch of interviews with it backwards. I was sitting next to Steve Carell, and he finally looked at me and said, ‘Are you doing that one purpose?’ He was so nice, he wouldn’t rat be out on the air. And I said, ‘No, I’m not, thank you.

Prince Royce interview

Seacrest interviews Royce during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about performing in the first iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina.

I’m excited to be a part of the lineup and just support Latin music.

On being nominated for four Latin Grammys.

It was a rough week.  I celebrated by sleeping and going to sleep early that night. It’s exciting to see the Academy supporting your music and voting for you, so its just an honor to be nominated with so many legendary artists in the Latin world. So it’s an honor for me.

Steven Yeun interview

Seacrest interviews Yeun during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about his role in the fifth season of Walking Dead.

Everybody thinks I’m going to die every season, and that’s kind of the joy of playing this character. Every year, Glenn looks like he’s about to eat it. He eats a lot of it, and he just doesn’t finish the end where he’s suppose to die.

Steve Aoki interview

Seacrest interviews Aoki during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about the meaning of his term caking.

The music itself is already making people pop. It’s not like a dancey, groovy thing, it’s like people are jumping. So, to make that even crazier, I’m going out in front of the DJ booth and caking people right in the face, or getting a raft out and having fans raft over each other.

Sam Smith interview

Seacrest interviews Smith during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about what kind of music he is writing now.

Well, I’m still managing to feel sad every now and then. I started writing recently and this whole experience the only way I can explain it is: If you asked me a year-and-a-half ago or two years ago, when I was at home working in a bar, if you would have asked me what I thought life would be like if I was successful and everything was how it is, I would say, ‘It’s going to be fine. I’ve been emotionally prepared for it. I’d have loads of bodyguards like Nicki Minaj and feel good. But I literally feel like I’ve been plucked out of secondary school and just put into this situation. I still feel like a beginner and still feel like I’m looking around, like, ‘What is going on? It’s all weird.’ So at the moment, when it comes to writing music, I’m starting to talk about that and talking about how uncomfortable I am in certain scenarios.
