The Art of Wrestling interview

Interview0 Comments

Young is a guest on The Art of Wrestling to discuss comedy in wrestling and getting over without getting hurt.

I’ve taken maybe 30 bumps on television in the past 5 years. People really like me and have grown to love the babyface character. I’ve been this character for a long time.

Ring Rust Radio interview

Interview0 Comments

Aries speaks to Ring Rust Radio  about the X-Division title, AJ Styles and his future in TNA.

My responsibility is to just go out there and do whatever I’m asked to do to the best of my ability, I don’t put any extra pressure on myself. I don’t necessarily get rubs from championships; I’d like to feel the championship gets a rub off of me.

NDTV.com interview

Interview0 Comments

Angle speaks to NDTV.com about Steve Austin and people calling wrestling “fake”.

If one calls it fake, then it’s an insult to the commitment of a pro wrestler. It is (an insult if you call it fake). It is rather pre-determined. We both know who the winners are going to be. It is one of the barbaric form of athletics I have done.

RCWR interview

Interview0 Comments

Hardy speaks to RCWR  about his advice to TNA wrestling’s creative team.

The first thing I would say to TNA is with your story telling and the personas and characters you are are telling stories for TV, be sophisticated. Make sure there’s continuity in every story you’re telling because the viewers are more intelligent in 2013 than they’ve ever been. There is so much information accessible to everyone who watches wrestling on TV. You can go online, you can Google anything. You can find out everything. So when you’re on there and you’re portraying a story of these two characters that are wrestling and ultimately it is good vs evil, you know, it is bad vs the hero and in this era of golden TV with shows like Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men, whatever the show is, wrestling repeats are bad which is good storytelling.

Tennessean.com interview

Interview0 Comments

Carter speaks to Tennessean.com about the rumors of her selling TNA to Billy Corgan and the company being up for sale.

Since we have been in business going on 12 years now, this has been an ongoing (speculation). Oh, we’re going out of business. We’re not going to make it. Ever since we started, people were taking odds on how long we would last.

The Inside Network interview

Interview0 Comments

Daniels talks  to The Inside Network about CM Punk, WWE and TNA returning to Orland0.

We justgot back from doing our first tapings there in I think 8 months and they were very well received. The fans welcomed us back with open arms. We had a little different set up than we did before so there’s definitely a little freshness to it there that we didn’t have last year and I’m looking forward to seeing how the next set of tapings go in December and you know, once we settle back down to an actual soundstage that’s gonna become ours and see how it goes.

The Art of Wrestling interview

Interview0 Comments

Morgan is a guest on The Art of Wrestling to discuss wrestling in TNA and WWE and loving the business.

You have to have passion. To have done this ten years or however long you’ve been doing it. You have to love what you’re doing.

WGD Weekly interview

Interview0 Comments

Roberts speaks to WGD Weekly about TNA and what he’d do if he purchased it.

I got all the thoughts, bro. There ain’t nobody better at that. I would make it simple, there would be good guys and there would be bad guys. There wouldn’t be no bullshit and there wouldn’t be twenty minute interviews. We would actually, ‘rassle…the world needs it, man.

Sports Illustrated interview

Interview0 Comments

Carter speaks to Sports Illustrated about budget cuts and Hulk Hogan in TNA.

I think Hulk has been worth it. He’s opened a lot of doors for us. When you’re about to lose a deal in an international territory and one phone call from Hulk Hogan makes a man who doesn’t even speak your language melt and you get your deal back, that carries a lot of weight. There’s not another guy out there who could do that.

The Art of Wrestling interview

Interview0 Comments

Storm is a guest on The Art of Wrestling to discuss his wrestling career and his serious guy gimmick.

Everyone knows me as me. I’m the guy who never smiles and never has fun. A lot of my serious nature comes from being somewhat shy and reserved. The longer people get to know me, the more I get out of my shell and they all claim to be the one who got me out of my shell.

Diva-Dirt interview

Interview0 Comments

James talks to Diva-Dirt about if she will return to TNA now that they are stationed in Orlando again.

You know, you never know. Honestly you never know in this business, doors are always left open. I have nothing but respect for Dixie Carter and I feel its sad I didn’t get the chance to finish the storyline and the development of the character because I had a decision of where it would go prior to my departure, but a step away from it was a blessing in disguise and I have been able to see the big picture of things.

VOC Nation interview

Interview0 Comments

Dreamer talks to VOD Nation about the current state of professional wrestling and Terry Funk.

There’s a lot of unhappiness with the current direction of wrestling, especially with the last few pay per views (from both companies). I was watching the last WWE PPV with fans at a restaurant, and the end of the show left a lot of people with a bad taste in their mouth. TNA has been doing that for a long time as well.

Temple-News interview

Interview0 Comments

James talks to Temple-News about being done with professional wrestling and her singing career.

It’s certainly not the last time you’ll see me on television in a wrestling ring. I’m far from done. When I retire, I want to retire the right way. That’s what we all hope for, right?
