After announcing a 7% staff cut, the company releases 55 employees from varying departments within WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. Sources say Vince McMahon sent out an email to announce the end of the staff reduction process.

WWE announces that October issue will be final WWE Magazine published by the company.  The magazine was established in 1984. This announcement coincides with WWE’s latest budget cuts.

WWE releases Rodriguez. He had been with the company since August of 2010 when he debuted alongside Alberto Del Rio on the Smackdown brand.

I have come to terms with WWE on my release. I want to thank them for four great years. But I miss wrestling.

To make up for the nearly $20 million loss in revenue, WWE is cutting costs. The company will eliminate 7% of their staff. This loss is attributed to the poor performance of the WWE Network which is still 300,000 subscribers away from breaking even. The company still plans to introduce the Network internationally by August.

I think that I gained some trust within the WWE organization, and they picked me because they had faith in me being safe, not injuring him and really making him step up his game to get his wind ready, and his body back in shape for all the strenuous activity he was about to endure at WrestleMania. So I think they just had trust in me, and I think that’s what it boiled down to.

Del Rio suffers injury at WWE Superstars taping. Justin Gabriel’s elbow struck to the left of Del Rio’s orbital bone causing a laceration that requires stitches.

 He’s going to keep it covered and he should be medically cleared to compete on WWE Main Event.

Barry McMullin who has previously worked for the NBA and PBA is hired as Senior Vice President of Sales and Partnership. McMullin has more than twenty years of experience in sales and marketing in a variety of sports and entertainment brands. McMullin also held a seat on the 2002 Winter Olympic committee.

The film will be available on  Digital HD and Video On Demand Friday, October 17, and on Blu-ray (plus Digital HD) and DVD (plus Digital) on Tuesday, October 2. The film will star WWE star, Kane as well as Chelan Simmons, Greyston Holt and Danielle Harris. This film will center around Jacob Goodnight (Kane) as he rises from the dead in the city morgue after his killing spree at the Blackwell Hotel

 It’s unbelievable. There’s no one moment I thought, ‘This is the character that I am.’ This was a process. I had around 8 months down at NXT when I was NXT champion, and it developed, and I rolled with the punches and saw what worked and went with it. It just morphed on its own in the end, and it came out like this.

Sting shows up at WWE’s comic-con panel in full makeup and costume. The wrestler’s status with the company has been unknown until now. Sting’s appearance confirms he is under some working deal with the company. The wrestler will also be featured in the WWE 2K15 video game and WWE’s next line of action figures.
