Companies deny ties, donations
Some corporations on a list of Planned Parenthood ‘sponsors’ claim they have not made donations to the organization. A page with a list of corporate sponsors on the Washington, DC chapter’s website is removed after demands by Coca-Cola, Xerox and Ford Motor Company. A Ford Motor Company spokeswoman denies that the corporation is a donor and claims that Ford has not matched employee contributions since 2005.
Seeks Boehner removal
Meadows files a motion to remove Boehner as Speaker, saying that Boehner has caused the power of Congress to atrophy, “thereby making Congress subservient to the Executive and Judicial branches, diminishing the voice of the American People.” The motion also claims that Boehner has:
[used the power of his office to] punish Members who vote according to their conscience instead of the will of the Speaker.
Third video released
The Center for Medical Progress releases third video. One Planned Parenthood official in the video discusses price per organ.

A phlebotomist discusses compensation arrangements:
For whatever we could procure, (Planned Parenthood) would get a certain percentage. The main nurse was always trying to make sure we got our specimens. No one else really cared, but the main nurse did because she knew that Planned Parenthood was getting compensated.
California Investigates videomakers
California Attorney General Harris announces a review of two undercover videos made by the Center for Medical Progress to discredit Planned Parenthood. The investigation is made at the request of four Democratic Congressmen. Harris’ office regulates charitable organizations and will use its authority to determine whether any violations were made by the Center in its creation of the videos.

Texas $1.4 million fraud settlement
The organization agrees to settle a billing fraud claim made against it by the State of Texas.
Investigators determined that Planned Parenthood falsified material information in patients’ medical records in order to support fraudulent reimbursement claims.
However, Planned Parenthood’s spokesperson denies the fraud allegations and says the organization agreed to settle for practical reasons.
Continuing this litigation in the hostile environment for women’s health would have ensured a lengthy and costly process that would have distracted our energies and required us to share the private medical information of thousands of women.
Turkey to permit U.S. strikes on ISIS
It is reported that Turkey has agreed that the U.S. may use its airbase at Incirlik to launch air strikes on ISIS. Turkey’s decision comes one day after a telephone discussion between Presidents Obama and Erdogan. US officials decline to give details of the agreement with Turkey, and spokesmen decline to confirm it officially, saying it was up to Turkey to confirm. Turkish officials decline to comment on the report.
Super PAC receives $15 million
The Wilks brothers donate $15 million to the pro-Cruz super PAC, Keep the Promise. Farris Wilks:

Benghazi committee date confusion
Clinton’s campaign spokesman says she will testify publicly before a House select committee on October 22, 2015, about her role in the 2012 Benghazi attack, which resulted in the death of four Americans. However a spokesperson for the committee says the timing is not set because of ongoing negotiations with Clinton’s lawyer over ground rules. Clinton’s attorney:
On the grounds of simple fairness and in order to make appropriate preparation possible, the scope of the questioning [should] be consistent with the scope set forth in the resolution establishing the Select Committee on the Events Surrounding the 2012 Terrorist Attack in Benghazi.
The Committee intends to diss Clinton’s’ emails in relation to the attack:
The Committee will not, now or ever, accept artificial limitations on its congressionally-directed jurisdiction. Once there is an agreement on the date and a better understanding of how, if at all, Secretary Clinton’s lawyer’s latest writing differs from previous ones, the Committee will announce said hearing date.
Calls for Planned Parenthood investigation
Boehner seeks to investigate Planned Parenthood’s alleged sale of organs from aborted fetuses.
At my request our committees have begun looking at some of the gruesome practices embraced by Planned Parenthood. I am also demanding that the President denounce and stop these practices. If you’ve seen this video I don’t have to tell you how sickening it is. So rest assured we are going to get to the bottom of this…It’s disgusting.
Apologizes for racist slurs
Hogan apologizes for racial remarks made eight years ago in unauthorized sex tape. The apology comes after The National Enquirer releases a transcript that includes the n-word.
Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation. It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it. I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise. I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs.
Accuses McConnell of lying
Cruz accuses McConnell of lying to him, after McConnell says there will be a vote on whether to renew the federal Export-Import Bank, after telling Cruz there will be no such vote.
Not only what he told every Republican senator, but what he told the press over and over and over again, was a simple lie. It saddens me to say this. I sat in my office, I told my staff the majority leader looked me in the eye and looked 54 Republicans in the eye. I cannot believe he would tell a flat-out lie. We now know that when the majority leader looks us in the eyes and makes an explicit commitment that he is willing to say things that he knows are false.
Stopped from leaving Phillippines
Brown is held in Philippines pursuant to Department Of Justice order that forbids him to leave the country. Officials prevent his private jet from departing from Manila’s international airport. The action is taken to compel him to pay back money that promoters say ius owed to them after he failed to appear for a previous appearance.
Man drowns in pool
The body of Edenilson Steven Valle is found in Moore’s swimming pool in her Los Angeles home. Moore is away at the time. One police officer indicates that the deceased may be one of Moore’s staff members. Valle’s family tell investigators he could not swim. It is thought he may have fallen into the pool during a party. Moore:
[This is] an unthinkable tragedy, and my heart goes out to this young man’s family and friends.
Seeks sanctions against Constand
Cosby files legal documents seeking court sanctions against Andrea Constand for her alleged breach of their confidentiality agreement. The filing says Constand’s request to open the entire Cosby settlement is an “obvious attempt to smear” the performer and says she should be sanctioned for leaking the nearly 1,000-page deposition transcript to the New York Times. Cosby’s filing also says that the deposition excerpts so far unsealed by the judge contain no testimony that he engaged in any non-consensual sex or gave anyone Quaaludes without their knowledge or consent.
Reading the media accounts, one would conclude that Defendant has admitted to rape. And yet Defendant admitted to nothing more than being one of the many people who introduced Quaaludes into their consensual sex life in the 1970s.

A second video release by Center for Medical Progress shows Planned Parenthood senior medical advisor, Dr. Gatter, negotiating the sale of baby body parts with actors playing entrepreneurs from a biotech start-up. At one point Gatter says she’d like to Gatter:

Signs 20-week abortion bill
Walker signs bill into law that bans abortion beyond 20 weeks of pregnancy. The law applies to non-emergency abortions only. No exceptions apply for those pregnancies that result from incest or rape. Abortions may be performed beyond the 20 week period if the mother is likely to die or suffer irreversible injury within 24 hours. A violation of the law constitutes a felony and may result in a fine up to $10,000 and 3 1/2 years in prison. Civil suits and penalties are also possible.
For people, regardless of where they might stand, when an unborn child can feel pain I think most people feel it’s appropriate to protect that child.
Announce divorce
Shelton and Lambert disclose their divorce is final after a four-year marriage. They do not state when exactly the marriage dissolution became final.

Bush is released from Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. He will be wearing a neck brace as well as a large brace at times. Spokesperson:
