HP Slatebook 14
HP announces the Slatebook 14, its first laptop to run on Android. The device features a touchscreen, 64 gigabytes of internal storage, 2 gigabytes of RAM, and a Nvidia Tegra 4 processor. It also has two USB ports and a HDMI port.

Braum release
The Heart of the Freljord is released in patch version 4.7 along with the Dragonslayer Braum skin. Designer:
As with all champions, we designed Braum to fill a specific gap in the League of Legends champion pool. Specifically, he’s the first true tank support that we’ve created, a champion who takes the hits for their team. We’ve had plenty of defensive supports – champions like Nami, Soraka, Janna etc – who negate damage through heals or shields, along with fighter supports like Leona and Alistar, who are generally great at initiating teamfights before diving deep into the enemy team and disrupting as much as possible. Braum’s something different: he’s a tanky support who literally takes the hits for his team, and as such requires a new mindset, position and playstyle to most conventional supports.
Releases CHADDER
Future Tense Central (FTC) and developer Etransfr release CHADDER, a free private messaging app that encrypts and decrypts messages at endpoint devices in order to increase security. It is initially available as an Android app on Google Play, with an iOs version planned for release on iTunes. McAfee says only users of the app can view message content:

McAfee starts a blog called The Hinterland, the same name of an upcoming graphic novel about McAfee by Essley. In one of the first posts he takes issue with Gizmodo’s writer Wise:

Little Monsters launch
Gaga launches LittleMonsters (https://littlemonsters.com/) as an invite-only beta for Gaga’s fans, who she refers to a “Little Monsters”. The site is the first project by Backplane and acts as a social network for her fans. CEO Michelsen says the project, in common with other Backplane project aims to :
Unite people around interests, affinities and movements. Backplane is about bringing together communities and Gaga’s community just so happens to be the community we’re using to learn about proper functionality. We think we can really change the world.
Gaga had called her manager, Carter, after seeing a screening of The Social Network:

Google announces Android@Home, a set of protocols that enables users to control household items like light switches, alarm clocks, and kitchen appliances through an Android device. They intend to partner with the Lighting Science Group to create compatible appliances and hope developers will build applications to utilize these features.
