WNST in Baltimore interview

Burfict talks about preparing for the NFL Draft:

It’s been a hard preparation. I’ve just been working out, toning down my body, lifting weights, running miles every day, and just trying to keep up with conditioning so I can come into camp the best I can. Just hope that they know I’m a soft-spoken guy. The guy I am on the field, I’m not the same guy off the field. When I’m off the field, I’m more sitting down, more of a chill guy, don’t do too much partying, and when I’m on the field I’m just angrier, don’t like to lose, have a passion for the game and love to hit.

Daly gives interview to Elle about why he is done dating actresses.

I realized I’d have more in common with a regular person than with a celebrity. There were values I was more likely to find in a nice, mid-western girl than one who was living on the coast, pursuing fame.

The Talks interview

Rampling gives an interview to The Talks. She discusses what it takes to be an actor, her early career, and giving her kids advice.

No, because I never wanted advice at that age. I couldn’t be bothered with anybody telling me about anything so I don’t do that with my kids. I actually don’t advise them on anything. If they want to chat about something, that’s different. But I’ll never put my opinion forward to them, because I think that’s handicapping people. I really do. Because it’s not going to change anything, they’re going to resent it anyway. You usually want to go against whatever you’re told. At least my 18-year-old self would have done that. I always wanted to go against what I had been told.

Krzyzewski gives his thoughts on the problems of college basketball:

First of all college basketball doesn’t control college basketball. The NBA controls college basketball. They are the ones along with the players union that sets the rule. College basketball just reacts to what the NBA does to include the early entry date. College basketball put out April 10th. Well that date doesn’t mean anything. April 29th is when guys have a chance to put their names in the NBA draft. I think one of the main things that has to happen is college basketball has to have a relationship with the NBA.

Gloria Steinem interview

Winfrey interviews Gloria Steinem and questions her years as a feminist, activist and the world today.

I think it is relevant. It certainly is strange that attributing a woman with certain male characteristics is complementary, while attributing a man with female characteristics is not. However, I think there is a little skewing going on in the perception of this phenomenon. A woman being called a tom-boy can also be derided as butch. Being declared manly is more often an insult to a woman than a compliment.

Cosby speaks on CNN’s State of the Union discussing the Trayvon Martin case. Cosby faults guns not race.

I am a person who believes the gun all around this united states when a person has a gun, sometimes their mind clicks that this thing will win arguments and straighten people out. And in the wrong hands, in the wrong minds, it`s death, it`s wounding people.

Seacrest interviews Phillips during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about Alec Baldwin’s wedding.

I’m so happy for him. Hilaria is a lovely woman and she’s smart, and she’s flexible, and she’s sweet, I love her. She’s really, really great and most of all, obviously Alec’s had a rough few years with just the divorce and all of that and I’m so happy he’s put that behind him and that he met somebody that he really feels happy with.

The Talks interview

Etro gives an interview to The Talks. He discusses why he thinks people are afraid of colors.

The black and everything came with the two World Wars. Look at the Renaissance and how men were dressed – amazing. Look at Venice, I’m thinking of Venice and all the fabrics that came over, that came along from all the journeys. The ladies going crazy in the 17th century. It’s the history of civilization that started to destroy that… You know, industrialization, the wars and everything – the way we live. So it’s really the way we changed our way of life, it’s part of urbanization. Sometimes when I see the tiny cars, the Smart cars driving around in colors, it’s good to see them in the street. But most of the people buy gray, black.

Jessie J gives interview to Elle about her single Who Is Laughing Now and its message to bullies.

I wondered if the song was too personal to put on my album. Then I thought, No, if I was 13 or even 35 and I looked up to an artist and they sang about something I was going through, it would help me deal with it.

Lita is a guest on The Art of Wrestling to discuss WWE and not being able to enjoy early success.

They’d just had Sable and Chyna get big fast then duck out on them. It could be hard at times to enjoy success because the office would say, “Don’t go thinking you’re something special!”

Finlay talks about his time wrestling for WCW:

I had some great times in WCW, but there were also some very frustrating times, but that’s life in general. I did win a couple of titles during my time there, and enjoyed some great matches and rivalries. To be with WCW was a great experience, and it’s another page in the book. Life has it’s ups and downs, and you just have to go with it, I was with the company to the bitter end, but luckily enough I was asked to go to the WWE.

Oriakhi speaks about transferring to Missouri:

At the end of the day it was just a comfort level. Having a good friend of mine, Phil Pressey, there definitely helped, but I was definitely comfortable when I got there. They were a team that had a pretty successful season in my opinion, winning 30 games, and they were able to do all that without a big man, so I definitely knew they needed a big man. … Everything just meshed and it was the perfect fit.

Van Halen discusses his music standing the test of time:

Yeah, it does hold up, but that was kind of purposefully done. Before we decided to actually make a full record, we said, Hey, let’s do some old demos. And we actually recorded three of them already. And I engineered She’s the Woman, Out of Space, and Bullethead, and it ended up turning into a whole record. But we figured: Why not give fans the era that they liked, you know? But not the whole album is that. It’s just like a third old, a third middle, and a third new.

Biggs gives interview to Elle about why he considers himself  “the woman in his marriage.”

Dustin Hoffman Sighted at Chasen's RestaurantHoffman gives an interview to The Talks. He discusses going to therapy, what he learned, and what makes a good therapist.

Knowing when to say a certain thing, and not wasting it. I have found that it is helpful in life, you don’t have to always say what you think to someone because if it doesn’t land then you have wasted it. When I say landing I mean is someone going to take it in, or is there a defense, I mean we all have defenses, and that can be an art form I think.
