Forbes interview
Sandell talks about what he learned about business from rowing, becoming a venture capitalist, and investing in the innovation economy from life sciences, biotechnology and medical devices to IT, including everything from semiconductors to consumer internet.
We see a pretty wide swath of what’s happening. And what’s clearly the case is that there is more positive innovation cycles now than at any time in my 20 years in venture capital or even my 30 years in the technology industry overall. It’s a very, very exciting time.
I think there are some fundamental technology changes which are benefiting lots and lots of different kinds of businesses–obviously, in the information technology side with the ability to process information and to compute things more and more cheaply all the time. Moore’s law is alive and well and has been since the ‘60s.
Karpeles WSJ interview
The WSJ interviews Karpeles at his home on the top floor of a 33-story building in Tokyo’s Meguro neighborhood. It is first media interview since a news conference when Mt. Gox filed for bankruptcy in February.
All I can say is I am deeply sorry. But I did what I could, and I swear I haven’t been doing anything too luxurious.
On security:
We had some cases where a stranger sneaked in and took things away. We also have at least one former employee stealing the company’s data.
On what he had done wrong:
Management. I was too busy and couldn’t lay out an adequate corporate structure. I wish I had five of me, as I was too busy with meetings with banks, lawyers and business partners. That was all painful, I wish I had more time to do engineer-type of work. We tried [to hire experienced professionals] but we didn’t have money and also often they turned us down.
Asked when he found out the Bitcoins were gone:
I always worried about ‘What if all the bitcoins were gone?’ Since that actually happened, I have gone through many sleepless nights. Scared, frustrated and angry—-so many emotions were occupying my mind.
He wishes someone should buy the exchange and says that Bitcoin has the potential to change the world but is too easy to use for illegal activities.
VOC Nation interview
Clay speaks to VOC Nation about social media and his favorite gimmick.
Funkasaurus. It was a lot of fun. That was a chance to do a character that hadn’t been done in a really long time. Probably not since Junkyard Dog. and to bring fans back into the ring, the interaction, to make them part of it, I enjoyed that. That’s something that I’m always glad I took that risk. I can be tough any day of the week and honestly, the way in America, if you stare at people, you’re automatically tough.
Keira Knightley interview
Seacrest interviews Knightley during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and asks her if she will start a singing career now that she has played a singer in the film Begin Again with Adam Levine.

Robin Thicke interview
Seacrest interviews Thicke during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him on why he made the album Paula.
I didn’t have a choice. I came right off a tour and I had all these songs and all these ideas and feelings in my heart. And I went right into the studio. I wrote all the songs in about three weeks and we recorded the album in about a month. Obviously all the songs were about her or about how I feel about her. A lot of songwriters have done this kind of thing before. They won’t tell you in the title or they’ll be suggestive I was just like, ‘There’s no reason to hide who this is about.’ It’s all about her.
Slam! Wrestling interview
Hayes sits down with Slam! Wrestling to discuss the modern scope of WWE television.
I don’t understand why kids don’t try to go out and perfect promos and talk that talk, and walk that walk, because everybody wants to be entertained. As fans, your lives are so hard working so you can to feed your kids, feed your wives, or whatever, and you want to escape and you don’t want to pay to see Bob the next door neighbour. And when everybody else is able to do these triple moonsaults then it’s not that special.
Digital Spy interview
Del Rio sits down for interview with Digital Spy to discuss WWE budget cuts and other WWE superstars.
It’s always hard. Wrestling is no different from any other job – you need to bring your best every single day because there’s people behind you trying to take your job. You can see that everywhere, not only in wrestling.
Calls lawsuit ‘stunt’
Obama tells George Stephanopoulos that House Speaker Boehner’s plans to file a lawsuit against him is “a stunt.”
You know, the suit is a stunt. But what I’ve told Speaker Boehner directly is, ‘If you’re really concerned about me taking too many executive actions, why don’t you try getting something done through Congress?
Republicans say the President breaches his constitutional power by side-stepping the legislative process. They say Obama uses executive actions as a way to bypass the divided Congress. The Republican-controlled House has passed two bills aimed at curbing executive orders by the President.

Trey Songz interview
Seacrest interviews Songz during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions him about why he sent roses to Nicki Minaj.
I actually met Nicki before either of us had the fame or success that we did down in Atlanta. And she told me she was a rapper and I was on my second album. She just had this look about her. You know, Nicki’s Nicki, she’s gorgeous. I’m looking at her like, ‘Damn, who is this beautiful girl?’ and she’s like, ‘No, I’m a rapper. This isn’t that.’
DC 101 interview
Rollins sits down with DC 101 to discuss Money in the Bank.
Looking at the field there’s a lot of guys who are going to take risks, I think a lot of people might think I might be one of those guys. But in this scenario, what I’m going to do I think is let the other guys take their risks and when they crash and burn I’m just going to climb that ladder, snatch that contract and be the man for the next year!
RVAMag.com interview
Ambrose sits down for an interview with RVAMag.com. He discusses Money in the Bank and Seth Rollins.
You know, it’s one of those things where a lot is at stake and you might have to take a big risk to get up that ladder. There’s a lot in play. Lots of metal, high heights, and a lot of players in the game. It’s a very unpredictable situation. You just have to go into with no fear and no reservations. You just have to go for it. You got to pick your spots and be smart though.
Competition for funding in F&B segment
Altman tips tougher competition for early-stage food-and-beverage startups looking to raise money. Altman says that wherever there are three or four F&B ventures, there likely won’t be room for another one that…
…does something similar with a small twist
Importance of women entrepreneurs
Fonstand talks with Falk Marques Group at the Women’s Private Equity Summit about Aspect Ventures, the emerging mobile market, and the importance of women entrepreneurs to the VC industry.
The certainly has been a relatively low number of women in the venture industry. Traditionally around 10-11% are professionals and 4-5% are partners. We see in the entrepreneurial ranks — particularly with the advent of social media and consumer focus over the last couple of years — that there’s been a swelling in the number of women entrepreneurs that have come forward. We think that in the venture industry there’s the opportunity to be a tipping point and Aspect Ventures and Theresia and I have an opportunity to be both thought leaders around diversity, but also in terms of role modeling in working closely with companies to help them understand the importance of different perspectives around the table and how that ultimately leads to better outcomes.
Ross Report interview
Storm is a guest on The Ross Report to discuss ECW, WCW and what he likes about modern wrestling.

Wrestle Reaction interview
Russo talks with Wrestle Reaction about Vince McMahon and WWE’s television product.
In my opinion, the Vince McMahon before the purchase of WCW, was a different Vince McMahon. The Vince McMahon I worked for was a freakin killer. He would do anything to be number one. He would slice your throat, rip your eyes out, it didn’t matter. When I went back and met with him in 2002, he was a different guy.
Talk is Jericho interview
Heyman sits down with Jericho to discuss CM Punk leaving WWE.
He was unhappy. He had enough. He couldn’t take it anymore. A year before he walked these was daily conversations of, ‘I don’t think I’m going to be able to take this. I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to be here. I don’t know how much longer it’s going to be before I just decide to go home.’ I’m surprised it lasted that long.
