Mayweather: McGregor will lose 90% of his purse if he kicks
On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Mayweather talks about what would happen if McGregor kicks him.
That’s a huge fine. I don’t think he wants to lose 90 per cent of his money, or even more. I don’t really know what it’s gonna be [the fine] but it’s gonna be a heavy fine.
Asked if he would kick McGregor back:
I’m not gonna do that. I follow the Queen’s rules of boxing.
And if he would fight in MMA:
As of right now, we gotta get past August 26. Once we get past August 26, then we can talk about other things.
White talks fight to Kimmel
White appears on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about the upcoming fight. Kimmel asks if he thinks Conor has a chance at all to beat Floyd Mayweather.
White:
I do…Floyd Mayweather is going to be 41 years old this year. If there’s a kink in that armour, it has been with southpaws. Conor McGregor is a southpaw, and he hits like a truck. He’s got 12 rounds to land that punch…When he hits people they go, and if he hits Floyd, I think he will hurt him, and when he hurts people he puts them away.
Kimmel:
Is this like a cricket team trying to win the World Series?
White:
No, normally, when boxers fight boxers, there’s a system to it. McGregor will be completely unorthodox. It’s what makes this fight so intriguing.
What’s Up skit
Diaz appears in a What’s Up? skit on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Diaz surprises fans who say their favorite is Conor McGregor.
Fan: I like this guy a lot too!
Cecil the Lion monologue
Kimmell chokes up near the end of a monologue on the killing of Cecil the Lion. After explaining the events surrounding the lion’s death to the audience he says:
The big question is: Why are you shooting a lion in the first place? I mean, I’m honestly curious to know why a human being would feel compelled to do that. How is that fun? Is it that difficult for you to get an erection that you need to kill things that are stronger than you? If that’s the case, they have a pill for that. It works great. Just stay home and swallow it, and you save yourself a lifetime of being the most hated man in America who never advertised JELL-O Pudding on television.
And, by the way, I’m not against hunting. If you’re hunting to eat, or to help keep the animal population healthy, or it’s part of your culture or something, that’s one thing. But if you’re some a-hole dentist who wants a lion’s head over the fireplace in his man cave so his douchebag buddies can gather around it and drink scotch and tell him how awesome he is, that’s just vomitous.
He also encourages viewers to donate to Wild Cru (http://www.wildcru.org/) the organization that was tracking Cecil.
Nearly detained in Thailand
Wilson tells Kimmel that he is nearly detained in Thailand while on his way back to the U.S. from filming an action thriller No Escape.
The day that I was leaving, somebody asked for a picture and gave me something to put around my neck… I guess this thing that I put on identified me with the rebels – I’m not kidding. All of a sudden, they (authorities) were calling the prime minister’s office saying that I was going to be detained from leaving (sic) because these colors and that whistle meant that I was siding with the protesters.
Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance
Kimmel demands his guests Kaitlyn and Shawn make a solemn pledge, guaranteeing that their relationship was for real, and won’t end in another broken engagement.
We, Katilyn and Shawn B, do solemnly swear, that we are in love, that we will get married, or we will at least be together one year from today, because if we’re not, this was a huge waste of everyone’s time. If we are not still in a committed relationship on July 27, 2016, we will pay Jimmy Kimmel $1,000 which he may collect in a lump sum or over the next 30 years in monthly installments of $2.77! Amen.
Courteney Cox interview

My fiancé is from Northern Ireland and it’s a great place – nice people there, But you know, I’m from Alabama and we’re real southern…He’s got this beautiful accent – so we were celebrating our engagement a year ago and in Northern Ireland you say the word ‘now’, not like n-o-w but it’s like n-a-u-w.It’s weird and it’s hard to do – I cannot get it

David wanted to put duct tape on it…Immediately after the show he went to the hospital and the doctor put 14 stitches in his nose.

Explains Oscar name flub
On Jimmy Kimmel Live’s post Oscar show, Travolta finally explains the reason for flubbing Idina Menzel’s name at the 2014 Oscars. She’s had one of the best years of her career, and she gives me credit!

Apparently, I played with her chin too much.
