Moves to Israel
Karlpeles moves to Israel, hoping to get closer to his Catholic faith while working for internet company Fotovista. In a blog post he argues that Hebrew is as important to Christians as it is to religious Jews. He only worked at this job for a few months before he once again began to feel depressed and “empty” according to one blog. In addition to his work at Fotovista he works on his own site, Ookoo.org. However, due to power outages and service disruptions he loses most of his customers and returns to France.

Spears and Federline welcome their first child into the world. The baby was born by Caesarean section at the UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, Calif., with Federline in the delivery room.

Kutcher, Moore marry
Kutcher and Moore get married at their Beverly Hills home. They exchange vows in a Kabbalah ceremony in front of 100 guests, including Moore’s daughters. This is the first marriage for Kutcher and the third for Moore.

Downey weds Levin in the town of Amagansett, Long Island, New York. The Jewish ceremony takes place under a custom-built gazebo with performances by Billy Joel and Sting. Some of the guests include Ellen Barkin and Keanu Reeves. Downey:

James Doohan dies age 85
Doohan dies of pneumonia, age 85, at his home in Redmond, Washington. He has been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
Bullock, James marry
Bullock marries James in a sunset ceremony at the 300-acre Folded Hills Ranch in Solvang, Calif. Bullock wears a white lace dress designed by Angel Sanchez. Klum and Seal marry after one year of dating. The ceremony is conducted in front of 40 guests near Seal’s home on Mexico’s Costa Careyes. Klum wears a Vera Wang ivory chantilly lace gown with an empire waist. The cake is topped with a miniature Seal in a tux and Klum in a gown.
