Sports Illustrated cover
In an issue of Sports Illustrated, Durant expresses his frustration at playing in James’ shadow:
I’ve been second my whole life. I was the second-best player in high school. I was the second pick in the draft. I’ve been second in the MVP voting three times. I came in second in the Finals. I’m tired of being second. I’m not going to settle for that. I’m done with it.
Durant says he uses his frustration as a means to self-improvement:
I don’t watch a lot of other basketball away from the gym. But I do look at LeBron’s box score. I want to see how many points, rebounds and assists he had, and how he shot from the field. If he had 30 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, I can tell you exactly how he did it, what type of shots he made and who he passed to.
On their friendship:
People see two young black basketball players at the top of their game and think we should clash. They want the conflict. They want the hate. They forget Bird cried for Magic. A friend was getting on me about this recently, and I said, ‘Calm down. I’m not taking it easy on him. Don’t you know I’m trying to destroy the guy every time I go on the court?’
Statement
Keys posts a statement about his firing to Tumblr.
Reuters claims that during my coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings, I violated a grievance aired by the company in a written warning issued in October 2012, explicitly that the company “must see immediate improvement in your communication with managers and more discretion in your social media practices.” (The company does not define what “more discretion” is)…Reuters said they particularly disagreed with my decision to continue tweeting scanner traffic after several other news organizations had reported a request from the Boston Police Department to not tweet information heard on scanner traffic.
Billboard cover
Carter appears on the cover of Billboard with Guy Oseary and Scooter Braun. He talks about the intersection of analytics and music:
The next phase of data is going to be transparency and also a deep dive into analytics—is it being used in a way that doesn’t violate the trust between the artist and the fans and the consumer and the brands? We wanted to see which songs [fans are] listening to from start to finish, which songs they’re skipping and which are the best playlists in which those songs could exist. That’s helping us realize what sorts of music are going to work at which format, and whether this song should follow the other on a particular release. It’s an ongoing education and we’re learning a lot.
He says Little Monsters is selling upwards of 6,000-7,000 presale tickets per show.
[In each city] we were doubling and even tripling what sponsor presales were and what other artists’ fan sites have done.

Esposito discusses his roles in the AMC drama Breaking Bad and the NBC drama Revolution in this interview for PBS.
Maybe it’s this laugh I have. But I never, I don’t know if I ever expected to be as successful playing the villain as I am, but I think it’s that you get a brief introduction, and you see a chink in the armor that is compassion.

Well, I think he had a combination of motives. In San Antonio. It was right before cable was coming out. I was 12 years old. Just that montage at the beginning just sort of drew me in. That time it was Wahoo McDaniel and Tully Blanchard, they had the big feud going on there. And then when cable came about, that’s when we got TBS then WWF out of Madison Square Garden and then WORTD. It just sort of consumed my life.

They’re called ‘privates’ for a reason. I’m wearing pants, for fu*k’s sake. Lay off. I mean, it’s not like I’m a fu*king lead miner. There are harder jobs in the world. But when people feel the freedom to create Tumblr accounts about my cock, I feel like that wasn’t part of the deal… But whatever. I guess it’s better than being called out for the opposite.

And all the urinals are taken, but then I spot – there’s stall there, the door was open, and “I’m gonna go, I’m not gonna let anyone get there”, because I was dying. And then this guy is in there, and then I just go for it – I didn’t know he was in there – the door was open. And so I just go for it, he was standing, I’m pretty sure there was spillage, and I said sorry, and he said sorry, and I go “Oh my God, that’s George Clooney.”
