Cast in Captain America: Civil War

Offered lead role in ‘Fantastic Beasts’
Redmayne has been offered the role of Newt Scamander in Warner Bros.’ Harry Potter spinoff, Fantastic Beasts and where to find them. Scamander is described as a “magiczoologist,” a person who studies magical creatures. Besides Scamander, there are four other main roles — two American girls and two American boys — that the studio is looking to cast.
Stars as Jackie
During a Cannes Music Festival appearance, Variety reports that Portman will star as Jackie Kennedy in Jackie, about the first four days of the first lady’s life after the assassination of her husband, President John. F. Kennedy. Aronofsky will produce the film.
To star in Broadway ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch’
Diggs will return to Broadway for the first time in a decade in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, stepping into the musical’s lead role on July 22. His casting marks the first time the role has been played in a major New York production by an African-American actor.
Netflix purchases rights, Pitt to star
Netflix purchases the rights to produce a feature film based on Hastings book The Operators: The Wild and Terrifying Inside Story of America’s War In Afghanistan. Pitt will star as the military general in the satirical comedy. The film will be released in 2016.
Disrupt SF appearance annnouncement
TechCrunch announces that Carter will participate in a live on-stage interview at Disrupt SF 2015 on September 21st-23rd at San Francisco’s Pier 70. It will be Carter’s second appearance at the conference.
Cast as Spider-Man
Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios announce Holland is being cast for the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the upcoming 2017 Spider-Man adventure. The search for a lead actor was world-wide and extensive. To appear as Guest Shark
Carter will appear as a Guest Shark on ABC’s Shark Tank, taking the place of Kevin O’Leary on one show. The season, which premieres on September 25, will also have Chris Sacca and Ashton Kutcher as Guest Sharks. Carter says he is excited to join because of the show’s ability to reach Americans outside the Bay Area and New York hubs, “specifically kids that look like me” from less privileged or minority backgrounds.
