Lionsgate and WWE Studios announce limited theatrical release for Leprechaun: Origins. The film will debut on August 22nd, will be released on Digital HD and Video on Demand on August 26th, and will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD format on September 30th.

Parsons, Galecki and Cuoco strike deals

The production delay for The Big Bang Theory is over after Parsons, Galecki and Cuoco reached contracts deals, which reportedly include significant raises, with Warner Bros. Television. Kunal Nayyar and Simon Helberg continue to negotiate their contracts. Agreements are expected this week and the series likely will resume production on Wednesday.

Her line will be comprised of: lingerie sets, vintage-inspired bustiers and kimonos, and lounge wear like jersey camisoles, shorts and sweatpants. Objects to ‘right to be forgotten’

Google sends a letter to European data regulators saying they find it too challenging to enforce the ‘right to be forgotten’ regulation a European Union court established. The ruling says that people should be able to request that inaccurate search results about them be removed from search engines. However, Google says in the letter that people often misrepresent their situation to get legitimate results removed:

Some requests turn out to have been made with false and inaccurate information. Even if requesters provide us with accurate information, they understandably may avoid presenting facts that are not in their favour.

Stocks rise

The company’s stocks rise nearly 8% since the announcement of a new financial plan which includes a new pricing on the WWE Network. Stocks have risen to $13.05.

As part of a new business plan for the third quarter, WWE announces international expansion of WWE Network. Agreements are being made in India, China, Germany, Thailand, Malaysia and areas of the Middle East

Just as pay cablers like HBO see subscriptions rise and fall depending on when content is available, WWE has seen a similar effect around its live PPVs, considered the biggest draw on the to the network so far among the mostly 18-34-year old men who make up most of its demo, a sweet spot for advertisers.

Reports major loss

WWE posts $14.5 million loss in second quarter largely due to the failing WWE Network. The loss is less than the expected $15-$18 million.

WWE’s core business metrics remain strong, and WWE Network continues to be the single greatest opportunity to transform WWE’s business model. During the quarter, we developed plans to make WWE Network available globally starting August 12.

Canadian TV Deal

WWE announces new Canadian television deal with Rogers Communications. The deal makes Rogers exclusive distributor of pay-per-view events in Canada. The WWE Network will now be available to Canadian residents through this deal on Rogers channel 512 for a $11.99 monthly fee.

This loss is attributed to the poor performance of the WWE Network which is still 300,000 subscribers away from breaking even. SpikeTV cancels  TNA wrestling’s flagship program, Impact. The show has struggled to maintain ratings for many years. TNA owner Dixie Carter claims to be in negotiations with the network in hopes of renewing their contract.
