Livingston publishes the collection of interviews with 32 startup founders. She says she has always liked writing, and wanted to write something that ‘gets to the heart’ of the experiences that startup founders had.
I hear these stories that they talk about, or the other people they knew who had done startups, that seem so crazy to me. Stories about how they sort of lied, not lied to investors, but pretended to look much more advanced that they were. When really they had one computer and they stole people’s monitors and put them on the desk so it would look like they had more. This was crazy, no one knows about this. And I was working at this tech, this emerging growth investment bank and I thought I should kind of know about this stuff….I sort of based on the concept of Paris reviews writers, it worked and talked about how did you it.

FDA approves Azilect
The FDA approves Azilect (rasagiline), a new molecular entity, for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. The drug is a monoamine oxidase type-B (MAO-B) inhibitor that blocks the breakdown of dopamine, a chemical that sends information to the parts of the brain that control movement and coordination. Dr. Steven Galson, Director of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, says:
This is a welcome development for the more than 50,000 Americans who are each year diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Parkinson’s is a relentless disease with limited treatment options, and each new therapy is an important addition to the physicians’ treatment options.

Ning
Andreessen and Bianchini launch Ning, a free online service where users can build social applications. The service is a product of Palo Alto startup 24 Hour Laundry. Developers can use Ning’s tools to build new programs or work off of clones of existing services.
The difference between apps built on Ning and any of these other services is that we make it easy for developers to build whatever app they want for any topic, interest, group, language, location or product, without a lot of effort. As a user, you get to explore and take advantage of this wider variety of social apps.
