The thing I did when I started was that I watched the top guys. I watched you. I watched Triple H. I watched The Rock. I watched Undertaker. I watched whether it had to do with promos or it had to do with wrestling…with you it was both because people don’t know this, you’re so underrated as a wrestler because your character was so damn strong that people don’t know how good you were.

The year that they did the (black and white) vignettes (in 2011), I had nothing to do with it and I had no conversations with the WWE at that time. His plans to study as a mature student:

When I was 40 I said to my wife ‘I’m taking two years off to go to university’, and she said ‘It’s a midlife crisis – you’re just after those young ladies at the university.
