Philip Seymour Hoffman dies at 46
Hoffman is found dead of an apparent drug overdose in his Manhattan apartment by a friend, screenwriter David Katz. He is survived by his parents, three siblings, his partner, and three children. Katz speaks of Hoffman’s passing.
I saw him last week, and he was clean and sober, his old self. I really thought this chapter was over.

…when you talk about being transparent, it’s often useful to have a standard of ‘real transparency’ to compare yourself too. I’d put Moz at the top of that list in my book.

A senior Iraqi intelligence official says senior ISIS leader Haji Bakr has been assassinated in a killing related to the dispute between ISIS and other opposition groups. Haji Bakr’s real name was Sameer Abid Mohammed Al-Halefawi, and he is reported to have served as an air-defense officer in Saddam Hussein’s army before joining Al Qaeda in Iraq after the 2003 U.S.-led invasion.

Cassandra Lynn Hensley dies at 34
A friend of Hensley finds her floating in the bath tub and immediately calls police, reporting a possible overdose. When paramedics arrive they cannot revive her. Foul play is not suspected. Police say:
The cause of death concerning Cassandra Lynn has been deferred. It will take three months before a final cause will be determined. More tests have to be done. This is the normal turn around time, especially when the cause of death may be the result of an overdose.
Ariel Sharon dies at 85
Sharon dies at the Sheba Medical Center in the Tel Aviv suburb of Tel Hashomer after spending the last eight years in a coma. The cause of death is heart failure. President Shimon Peres says Sharon was:

Rehab
Gomez secretly spends two weeks in an Arizona rehab. Gomez’s rep says in a news statement that Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows, but not for substance abuse. Instead Gomez says she needed a break from her busy schedule to focus on herself.

He was holding her bouquet for her and walked with his arm around her after the vows. She had a big smile on her face and nuzzled her face up to his neck. Friends of the star reveal that Watson and Adamowicz have parted ways because of her hectic film schedule. Watson’s Rep confirms the break-up saying that the two called it quits over the summer and are no longer talking. One source claims that a photo of Adamowicz surrounded by white powder may have been the cause of the break up. The source believes that Watson’s reps may be trying to distance the star from a possible drug scandal.
