WrestlingINC interview
Reks is interviewed by WrestlingINC. He discusses WWE’s stale main event scene and building new stars.
The only guys who get over are the guys who are already over, and that’s the problem. When ‘Taker started to make fewer appearances and Edge had to retire because of his neck people like me and Hawkins were thinking, ‘they better do something soon, cause when all these guys are gone, they’ll have nobody left.’ That’s the trend you see. You see guys like John [Cena] still on top and [Big] Show still on top. I know they’re working to build guys like The Shield and [Roman] Reigns and Moxley [Dean
Ambrose]. Had they started doing that a long time ago I think they’d be in a better position.
WWE.com interview
Ziggler takes part in a sit down interview with WWE.com to discuss his regaining the WWE Intercontinental Championship at TLC.
I knew, I KNEW if I could get my hands back on that Intercontinental Championship and make it mean to them (the WWE fans) what it means to me, I knew that it would just start a rebirth for the Intercontinental title.
SportsCenter interview
Punk appears on ESPN SportsCenter to discuss the differences in Dana White and Vince McMahon.
Their similarities are that they are both driven, set in their ways and have a good idea of what is best for their companies. As far as differences are concerned, it’s a generation issue. McMahon is very old school while White is more open-minded.
UK SUN interview
Rollins is interviewed by the UK SUN. He discusses Randy Orton and his relationship with the star.
Randy and I are colleagues for sure, but we were never friends as far as hanging out. Randy’s got his life, I’ve got my life – we were business partners when it made sense. But now it doesn’t make sense any more so we’re at odds again. And if you look at the way things were when we first came in as The Shield, he didn’t like us very much then so it is one of those things where I think he has always harbored a little professional jealousy when it comes to myself. Maybe he’s a little afraid that some of the young guys are going to come in and steal some of his thunder.
Newsday.com interview
Guerrero is interviewed by Newsday.com. He discusses fans criticizing former WWE stars working in Lucha Underground.
If they couldn’t do that style, I would see the difference. If they pushed a guy with big name brand recognition who can’t do lucha libre, who is kind of just adding name value, I would see people getting upset. But you have a John Morrison, who can do things in the ring that a lot of even the Latino luchadors can’t. So it’s not like he’s a charity case.
On Air interview
Minaj gives an interview with Ryan Seacrest during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her album The Pink Print.
It was really frustrating because I wanted to put it out since the summer time, but now looking back, I understand why I needed to take that time just as a woman. I was going through so many changes in my life professionally and personally. And it was good for me to just take a month, come back, write, reflect, take a month, come back, write, reflect, and now what The Prinkprint represents for me is a brand new chapter. Like something that I kind of put a lid on.
Garth Brooks interview
Brooks discusses why he took a break from releasing albums on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The greatest gift I’ve ever been given by God and the people was the time allotted just to stay home and raise my babies, I got to know ‘em inside and out, which when I came off the road, to tell you the truth, I didn’t. I didn’t know my own children. I know them now, trust me, more than they like or more than I’m comfortable with
WWE.com interview
Reigns talks to WWE.com about his return to WWE after injury.
It was like the old riding a bike thing. I can still oil up my arms, hair conditioner in, got a bad-*** vest on, still able to lace up the boots. Everything felt really good.
Huffington Post interview
Jarrett is interviewed by the Huffington Post. He shares his thoughts on CM Punk signing with UFC.
Win, Win, Win! Win for Dana White at UFC, a win for CM Punk fans and whether CM Punk wins or loses in that octagon it’s a win for him because I’ve got a lot of respect for a guy that follows his heart and follows his passion.
Says Cosby tried to kiss her, maintains doubt
Gifford says that Cosby tried to kiss her when she toured with him in the 70’s, but still maintains her doubt of the sexual assault allegations against him.
I along with so many Americans and people around the world don’t want these (accusations) to be true. I will admit towards the end of the tour the last time I saw him he did try to kiss me. I said, ‘No,’ I said, ‘Bill, we’re friends.’ He said, ‘OK, good night,” and I said, ‘Good night.’ I went into my room and he went into his room. I’m not saying these women’s allegations are not true. From my own personal experiences, it didn’t happen.
Self interview
Wozniacki gives an interview to Self magazine. She talks about travelling to Australia, being in the best shape of her life, and a breakup strengthening a friendship.
When Serena [Williams] heard about the breakup, she kept calling me, but I didn’t pick up. I didn’t even want to look at my phone. Then she texted me: ‘If you do not pick up now, I’m going to fly to you, and if you don’t open your door, I’m going to kick it open and I’m going to see you.’ So, I picked up. I flew straight to Miami, and we had a great time together. She’s an amazing friend and an inspiration to me.
On Air interview
Charli XCX gives an interview to Ryan Seacrest during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her album Sucker.
The record’s kind of punk-inspired. And it’s partially a comment on the record industry as a whole and how the whole place is basically like a circus. I’m part of it, but not part of it. It’s like a bizarre place.
On Air interview
Stiller gives an interview to Ryan Seacrest during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about working with Robin Williams in Night At The Museum: Seacrest Of The Tomb.
I just feel really lucky that I had a chance to work with him at all. I was always a fan, since I was 12 or 13 from Mork & Mindy. He was a genius. So for me to have the chance to work with him. the first one, remember when we were making the first one and Shawn Levy, the director, said, We want to ask Robin Williams to be Teddy Roosevelt. I was like, Oh my God, that’s the best idea in the world. And I remember thinking, If he says no, we can’t do the movie because he is the perfect guy for that. And then he said yes and it was so exciting for me to have a chance to work with him. I felt like a fan around him. I never really lost that feeling.
Huffington Post interview
Hogan is interviewed by the Huffington Post. He discusses professional athletes coming out of the closet as openly homosexual.
I think everybody’s been reeducated, so it’s not that big a deal. At least for me — and I can only speak from my heart — I’ve got people all around me who are gay, so it’s not an issue with me. I think the whole world feels like that now. I knew Pat (Patterson) was gay back in 1976, when he helped me start wrestling. Whenever I see Pat, I give him a big hug and kiss. He’s my guy! There are several wrestlers in Japan who are gay. I’ve just never looked at it as anything weird. It was normal.
Submission Radio interview
Shamrock is a guest on Submission Radio to discuss CM Punk’s upcoming UFC debut.
If I was training him, I would put my reputation on it. Especially if he’s getting the right fighter, somebody of his calibre that doesn’t have five fights or ten fights as a pro. If you’re going to give him somebody that’s around his calibre 1-0, 2-1, something where it’s reasonable. Especially with what I know about his background and what he’s done before he became a pro wrestler, with his collegiate career and stuff like that – I would put my reputation on it that I could get this guy to win his first fight.
The Talk interview
Manilow chats about his latest album, My Dream Duets and the process of producing music collaborations with deceased music legends:
When I play Whitney’s vocal wrap without any echo on it, without any processing it was like she was standing next to me.
The View interview
Goldberg speaks with Johnson regarding Cosby’s rape allegations and her memory of meeting with him at his home:
So I went to the brownstone and we had a little light um dinner downstairs and then when you go upstairs into the living quarters, um its a huge cappuccino contraption on the bar there and he said I want you to act like you were a drunk woman….
The Guardian’s Observer interview
Lohan reflects on 2014 and how living in London has helped her grow in an interview with The Guardian Observer magazine.
I can go for a run here on my own. I do every morning, early, and I think how my friends in New York would still be up partying at that time. I needed to grow up and London is a better place for me to do that than anywhere else.
New York Post interview
Cosby breaks his silence in an interview with the New York Post, asking that the media remain impartial.
Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind.
On Air interview
Dawson gives an interview to Ryan Seacrest during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her role in the film Top Five.
I was really nervous about having to be funny. Chris said, Don’t worry about it, we got the funny covered, just bring us the drama. He let me have a lot of input with my character because I had a lot of ideas for her. And it was really nice to just put energy into this character and make her come alive. It really brought out a lot of me. I’m really grateful for it. Including my comedy, he got me to be funny, which is unbelievable.
