CinemaCon interview
Moore criticizes releasing films simultaneously in cinemas and to on-demand services.
A movie never looks the same on television…We work very hard as creators in creating a theatrical experience.
Moore also says making independent films has boosted her career.
Working in the indie space has helped my career longevity. All of my successes – including my Oscar – sprung from these teeny tiny movies…The great parts are not going to come to you on a silver platter. You need a commercial profile so that investors will invest in something smaller that I’m in. [But] You can’t make a living doing just indie films. Hollywood isn’t in the business of creating parts for actors. They’re in the business of creating product. It’s about making a package.
Three more accuse Cosby
Allred hosts a press conference where three more women, Burns, Kinney and Tate jointly accuse Cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting them in three separate incidents. Kinney:
I was mortified at what had happened; all this time, and for many, many years, I felt that this was my fault.
On Air interview
Seacrest interviews Barrymore during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about Safe Kids Organization.
As a parent, when I’m not on Japanese food tours, my highest priority in life above everything is doing the best for and by my kids. I think we think a lot and live a lot by bringing our kids up safely. But there’s so much about keeping your kids safe in a logistical, pragmatic, new studies, latest research, laws-changing way that will be the biggest game-changer in a parent’s life…It has to do with everything from the message being put into your brain of, you never leave your child unattended in a bathtub. When are the shots important? I didn’t have parents that I could look to and ask those questions. So these current standards on the safety of children, I think, are so incredibly done by this organization.
On Air interview
Seacrest interviews during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about directing the film Just Before I Go.
I wanted to direct this particular movie because it makes you laugh out loud. It’s really, really funny and it’s also really touching. It’s about a guy who wants to end his life and I know it sounds sad he goes back to his hometown to right some wrongs with the people he thinks are responsible for him being in his place. And as he does, he realizes that everyone has problems and he has this big epiphany. It’s a really beautiful, heartwarming story, but it’s laugh out loud funny.
Hostage killings apology
Obama apologies for killing of two hostages in US drone attack on an al-Qaeda base.
This morning I has expressed my grief and condolences to the families of two hostages – one American, Warren Weinstein, and an Italian, Giovanni Lo Porto – who were tragically killed in a US counter-terrorism operation. Warren and Giovanni were aid workers in Pakistan devoted to improving the lives of the Pakistani people.
Operation killed hostages
White House admits that it’s counter terrorism operation in January killed Weinstein and Porto who were being held hostage by al-Qaeda.
President Obama takes full responsibility for these operations…We would be conducting a thorough independent review to understand fully what happened and how we can prevent this type of tragic incident in the future.
Top Gear return ‘Virtually impossible’
May says that he will not return to Top Gear without Clarkson.
Me and Hammond with a surrogate Jeremy is a non-starter. It has to be the three of us…I don’t think you could carry on with two people and put someone in as the new Jeremy because they are not going to be the new Jeremy. That would be short-sighted and I don’t think it would work. Virtually impossible.
Oppose cable Merger
U.S. Sens. Markey and Warren urge the Obama administration to block Comcast’s proposal for a$45.2 billion acquisition of Time Warner Cable, saying the merger is bad for consumers. The lack of competition will only “make things worse” for consumers already frustrated by increasingly high cable and Internet bills. In a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler:
Today’s world demands affordable access to high-quality Internet and TV services. Should the transaction survive the FCC’s and DOJ’s reviews, we believe that Comcast-TWC’s unmatched power in the telecommunications industry would lead to higher prices, fewer choices, and poorer quality services for Americans.
Mocks chicken theft lawsuit
Kunis and Kutcher mock the news of Karo’s chicken theft allegations. Kunis:
I was devastated. I was weeping. I was dumbfounded…I was like, ‘Which chicken did I steal?’ I apologize to this woman, who was maybe or not a month old.
FAA investigates
FAA looks into the SkyWest emergency landing due to contradictory statements. FAA:
The flight crew reported a pressurization problem and declared an emergency before landing safely. While a SkyWest spokeswoman said one passenger lost consciousness during the flight, the airline disputed news reports that a door had opened on the aircraft [also stating] there was no indication that the plane lost cabin pressure.

Backstage cover
Hahn appears on the cover of April 2015 issue of Backstage. She talks about her early days as a New York theater actor and her experiences during filming of Happyish.
I will hold the experience of making that [first] pilot to my heart the rest of my life, but this is a completely different experience that I could not be prouder to be part of…Steve, of course, brings a completely different energy, which is helpful because it feels like a new bird.
Time Out Hong Kong interview
Perry gives an interview to Time Out Hong Kong. She discusses her strengths, being a pop star, and whether she is a spiritual person.
I’ve got my rose quartz [opens hand to reveal a heart-shaped pink crystal]. You keep this one on your heart because it’s for healing and attracting love – all kinds of love. Just good energy.
Interview walkout
Downey walks out of an promotional interview about Avengers: Age of Ultron with Channel 4 News, when Guru-Murthy asks about his past problems with drugs and alcohol.
Are we promoting a movie?…I’m sorry, I really don’t … What are we doing?
Switching heads will take one hour
Canavero confirms that he hopes to operate on his first patient, and said he will carry out the procedure in China if he is banned from doing so in the EU or former Soviet Union.
If Europe and Russia say “no”, the surgery will be done in China. I’m ready for that. I’ve been studying Chinese for a few years. You should understand that it’s not simply a medical procedure. This surgery has a political meaning. The Soviet Union was the first one to send Yuri Gagarin to space, America was the first on the Moon. The country that hosts head transplant surgery for the first time will become a leader like this.
On the procedure:
I chose Valery for two reasons. First, he’s brave enough and ready to go till the end.Second, his bravery is based on knowledge, he studied everything the scientists have discovered in the area. This way, I decided, he will be the first one to make history
Valery’s head will be cooled to 10-15 degrees Celsius. That is done in cases of surgery on deep areas of the brain. We will have an hour to ‘switch’ the head to a different body. You need a few minutes to join blood vessels. Valery’s head will be detached from his body and transferred to another one in a matter of seconds, and the brain’s blood flow will start in about 15 minutes. The surgery will take a lot of time, the joining process may take up to 18-24 hours. Doctors will be taking turns not to get tired.
On the costs:
Do you love football? I hate it. Nonetheless, you have slackers who meaninglessly stroll around the pitch and are paid $20-30 million a year. I need $15 million. It’s the price for happiness and health for a lot of people. But sponsors prefer spending money on healthy boneheads who can’t kick a ball.
On air interview
Seacrest interviews Lambert during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about the lyrics to his single Ghost Town.
It’s a bit bittersweet. It’s a bit melancholy. It’s kind of about life always not being exactly what you think it’s going to be, but trying to kind of get through it and make the most of it and be the best person you can be but it’s not always easy. Our dreams aren’t always what we think they’re going to be.

Emergency landing
A flight makes an emergency landing in Buffalo on the way from Chicago to Hartford after a passenger loses consciousness. All aboard are safe and the passenger is being treated at a local hospital.
A SkyWest Airlines flight made an emergency landing in Buffalo, New York, on Wednesday after a passenger passed out and the pilot worried that the cabin had lost air pressure. It turned out to be a medical problem. The flight landed safely in Buffalo, the passenger got medical attention, and accommodations were made for the other 75 passengers.
Towing company against termination
The towing company that employs the woman McHenry verbally abused on camera states they do not want the reporter to lose her job.
Parking enforcement is contentious by nature. At the same time, neither Gina, our lot clerk, nor our company, have any interest in seeing Britt McHenry suspended or terminated as a result of her comments. Ms. McHenry is our neighbor, and, as she said, to paraphrase, made remarks that were out of line. She is human and errors in judgement can be made in the heat of the moment.
Admits moral guilt
Groening asks for forgiveness at the start of his trial. He admits he knew Jews were sent to gas chambers but denies he was involved.
For me there’s no question that I share moral guilt…I ask for forgiveness. Whether I am guilty under criminal law, you will have to decide.
Paul Rudd interview
Rudd appears on The Late Show for promoting his movie Ant-Man. He talks about how he was a member of a Letterman fan club as a child.
About 30 years ago, when you first started the show, back when the [Kansas City] Royals were in the World Series, I joined the David Letterman fan club…What it included was a pin, a collapsible drinking cup, a sponge that – if you put in water – would grow, a back scratcher and a balloon.
