Proposes social security cuts
Christie calls for cuts in social security and raising Medicare premiums for upper income retirees, as well as giving states more control over Medicaid, the joint federal-state health program for the poor, and for requiring the poor to pay some amount out-of-pocket for their care. He also proposes changes to the Social Security disability program that would limit access to benefits for some people.
Do we really believe that the wealthiest Americans need to take from younger, hard-working Americans to receive what, for most of them, is a modest monthly Social Security check?
On Air interview
Seacrest interviews Rancic during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about her controversial red carpet statement in which she says actress Zendaya’s dreadlocks lookes like she might smell of patchouli oil and weed, causing cast members Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin to quit The Fashion Police.
It’s kind of crazy. Look, it was a tough season to do, obviously without Joan Rivers there. She was the driving forced behind Fashion Police. It just didn’t work. There were all sorts of issues right from the beginning. Then when the whole incident happened with the Oscars show obviously everything imploded form that point on. It’s been sad to watch and it’s been really hard to live through. The past six weeks have been very tough for all of us.
Honestly, you’d have to ask her [Kelly Osbourne] I don’t know [why she quit]. I haven’t spoken to Kelly since the night that show aired. She and I got on the phone and I was like, ‘Kelly what’s going on?’ And she’s like, ‘I don’t know’. I’ve known Kelly a long time, so obviously she was being very friendly and supporting that night. Then, everything just went crazy from there.

Wants Cuba terror list removal
Obama recommends that US government reverse its long-standing policy designating Cuba a state sponsor of international terrorism. White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest:
As the President has said, we will continue to have differences with the Cuban government, but our concerns over a wide range of Cuba’s policies and actions fall outside the criteria that is relevant to whether to rescind Cuba’s designation as a State Sponsor of Terrorism…That determination is based on the statutory standard – and the facts – and those facts have led the President to declare his intention to rescind Cuba’s State Sponsor of Terrorism designation.
70 Malaysian soldiers join ISIS
At least 70 members of Malaysia’s armed forces join the Islamic State. Defense Minister:
The army is monitoring the situation via its investigation and intelligence division, together with its human resources section. If army personnel are found to embrace elements of ISIS, the army and police will cooperate in our efforts to counsel them and restore their faith in accordance with proper teachings. [The Islamic State’s] ability to recruit young people with their false struggles is worrying.
On Air interview
Seacrest interviews Frankel during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about returning to Real House Wives Of New York.
I came back because I missed the connection the connection with the audience, that is I missed the freedom. I had to accept that I really am kind of a professional reality star. I mean, this genre is great for me because it’s liberating and you can kind of say what you want, and do whatever you, and be whoever you want, [and] express yourself. I really do miss that.

Calls our body shamers
In response to online comments about her appearance, such as ‘@Pink fat bitch loose wait,’ the singer says:
I can see that some of you are concerned about me from your comments about my weight. You’re referring to the pictures of me from last night’s cancer benefit that I attended to support my dear friend Dr. Maggie DiNome. She was given the Duke Award for her tireless efforts and stellar contributions to the eradication of cancer. But unfortunately, my weight seems much more important to some of you. While I admit that that dress didn’t photograph as well as it did in my kitchen, I will also admit that I felt very pretty. In fact, I feel beautiful. So, my good and concerned peoples, please don’t worry about me. I’m not worried about me. And I’m not worried about you either:)… I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off. Thanks for your concern. Love, cheesecake.

Paid events contradiction
While Carson’s Business Manager insists that all paid speaking engagements for Carson during the campaign were contracted for in advance with nothing new added since July 2014, his Communications Director disagrees:
Carson’s business office continued scheduling paid speaking engagements through January 2015. Carson is set to give an unspecified number of paid speeches extending into next fall.
Charges for events
Carson breaks from tradition by continuing to charge for speaking events while campaigning for President. Business Manager:
If he’s booked through the Washington Speakers Bureau, he’s being paid. While…the doctor continues to give paid speeches, they were all booked far in advance. It’s a contractual situation…No new paid speeches [have] been put on Carson’s schedule since July 2014. Everything, with the exception of two or three [paid engagements], will be cleared off the calendar by May
‘Hillary should not be President’
On the day of Hillary Clinton‘s presidential announcement, Chafee states that Clinton had “precious few” accomplishments as secretary of state. On Clinton’s vote for the Iraq war:
That was just a moment in time where the premise for going to Iraq was so false that there were weapons of mass destruction — she didn’t do her homework, and we live with the ramifications today…And so you may say, oh, that’s 12 years ago, but we live with it today, and it’s a big motivator for why I’m running. If you show lack of judgment, lack of doing homework then, what can we expect in the future?
Chafee says that as secretary of state:
[Clinton] was kind of a muscular, top-down, unilateral, too close to neo-cons, too Bush-like.
Stella cover
Turner appears on the cover of April 2015 issue of Stella. She talks about how Game Of Thrones taught her all about sex.
When my mum tried to speak to me, I said, ‘This isn’t necessary, I know everything. I know every single thing that a person can do – and more’. The show is very inventive.
Claims bug made it track nonusers
Facebook releases a blog post about its investigation into claims that it tracked users without their consent, acknowledging the collection of nonusers’ data.
The report gets it wrong multiple times in asserting how Facebook uses information to provide our service to more than a billion people around the world…We don’t [track non-users], and this is not our practice. However, the researchers did find a bug that may have sent cookies to some people when they weren’t on Facebook. This was not our intention—a fix for this is already under way…Our practice is not to place cookies on the browsers of people who have visited sites with Social Plugins but who have never visited Facebook.com to sign up for an account. The authors identified a few instances when cookies may have been placed, and we began to address those inadvertent cases as soon as they were brought to our attention.
Clinton ‘would be an excellent president’
During a press conference in Panama at the Summit of the Americas, Obama talks about Clinton as next President:
She was a formidable candidate in 2008, she was a great supporter of mine in the general election, she was an outstanding secretary of state, she is my friend, I think she would be an excellent president.
Asked whether he hopes she campaigns on his record:
I’m not on the ballot. So I’m not going to step on her lines. When she makes a decision to announce, I’m confident that she will be very clear about her vision for the country.
Entertainment Weekly cover
Schumer appears on the cover of April issue of Entertainment Weekly. She talks about feminism, love, sex, and relationships.
I’m not very sexually active. On stage I talk about my boyfriend and the two guys I dated and my one and only one-night stand, and it sounds like ‘This girl is a real Dumpster.’ But really over two years I slept with four people. Not that there’d be anything wrong if I slept with more if that’s what I wanted to do.
T Magazine interview
T Magazine interviews West about his Yeezy apparel brand.
It’s literally like I know this is really harsh, but it’s like Before Yeezy and After Yeezy. This is the new Rome! On tour I would scream Look at this mountain I just made! You don’t think I can make a T-shirt? Look at everyone in the audience we’re selling $300,000 worth of T-shirts every night!
Time Out Hong Kong interview
Kwok gives an interview to Time Out Hong Kong. He discusses what he has been doing, his film career, and his advice to other Hong Kong actors.
I think we should turn our perspective inward as we have a very large market in China. There are a lot of Hollywood and overseas movie makers who are seeking opportunities to work with Chinese movie makers. This is a sign that we have a robust film industry in China. As a Chinese national, I don’t feel I have to leave Asia in order to expand my career. There are a lot of excellent directors in Hong Kong and China who I haven’t had the pleasure to work for yet, and there are still many talented people I’m looking forward to co-operating with down the line.
