Essence Cover
Scott appears on the cover of Essence to discuss being unapologetic about her actions, music, and fashion. She only talks about people trying to warn her from moving in with her boyfriend too soon.
My only job is to be happy. So for everybody who cares about me and is not trying to be all up in a ‘celebrity’s business’ just know that I’m happy.
On her clothes:
I’ll take something that’s a bit too small and just make it into something else.
Daily Record interview
McIntyre sits down with the Daily Record to discuss his WWE departure and his plans for the future.
I guess I was annoyed, now I’m just fired up. I have an opportunity to be the biggest wrestler outside of the WWE and I won’t be happy unless I’m a big brand. It’s not a case of if I’ll be back with the WWE, it’s a case of when. It was a shock because I was already booked to continue performing on TV and touring all over the world.
Los Angeles Times interview
Michaels talks to The Los Angeles Times D-Generation-X and the Four Horsemen.
The Four Horsemen were limousines and Lear Jets, while DX was trailer parks and outhouses. One was white trash, one was upper crust. I always saw DX and the NWO as the natural rivals at the time.
The Swerve appearance
Madusa appears on The Swerve podcast for a sit down interview. Madusa discusses her ring name, breaking into the wrestling business and who her favorite people to work with are.
For the first year, I worked in bars, and I did not get paid for one whole year. So I was using my savings to travel, to drive, to stay in hotels, to do whatever. And about the second or third year, I was still continuing to do this, and finally I got paid five dollars. Five dollars.
Main Event Radio
Anderson appears on Main Event Radio for a sit down interview. Anderson discusses his time in TNA wrestling and his thoughts on the SpikeTV negotiations.
Championship gold is always on my mind. That being said, one of my big priorities is always entertaining people. Going out there and telling them a story, and just having fun. This is one of the coolest jobs anybody can ever hope for. Any time that I start to feel aches or pains, tired from traveling; I just got back from the UK so I’m jetlagged. When I start to feel sort of sorry for myself, I remember how damn cool this job is. I feel like a million bucks right now, maybe a million and one.

‘Incredible, delicate, funny, dramatic human being’
Winkler describes how he saw Williams before his loss:
This incredible, delicate, funny, dramatic human being is gone.
His reaction to Williams’s performances:
My only job was to keep a straight face and it was impossible because no matter that you said to him – no matter what line you gave to him, he took it in, processed it and then it flew out of his mouth, never the same way twice… You knew, Oh boy, you’re witnessing the beginning of something unbelievably special. He was electric — electrifying – and he was like, that no matter what he did, all the time…No matter what he did, he was that…It was just an amazing thing to witness.
‘Lightning storm of comic genius’
Spielberg praises the actor he directed in the lead role of Peter Pan in Hook for his intense comedic performances:
Robin was a lightning storm of comic genius and our laughter was the thunder that sustained him. He was a pal and I can’t believe he’s gone.
Politics Nation interview
Johnson, friend and witness of deceased teenager Brown describes the fatal attack and shooting of Brown:
I know what a taser looks like, a taser gun looks like and I know what a regular gun looks like. When I looked at the officer I was staring dead in front of the barrel and almost a second later the gun went off.
Chris Hardwick interview
Fallon speaks to Hardwick about his Comedy Central show.
The game show just got picked up for 2015 so we are going to be on for a long time.
Rita Ora interview
Seacrest interviews Ora during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions her about the meaning behind her song I Will Never Let You Down.
It’s basically a love song you can dance to. I wrote this with a really special person, and it was the first time I ever kind of opened my doors up for somebody I knew personally. So, this song was written out of love and I [liked it], it was convenient for the time it was written. But you know, people move on and move forward, but the song still has the same message.
Chris Harrison interview
Seacrest interviews Harrison during On Air With Ryan Seacrest. During the interview Seacrest questions Harrison on how a crew member had a secret affair with one of the contestants of Bachelor In Paradise and broke both his legs jumping from a balcony trying avoid detection.
It’s only fitting that his last name was Putz. It fits so well. As you saw last night, it was great when we interviewed him in the hospital bed, both his legs are in a cast, and we said, Can we get your first and last name? We thought, How can we make this so grandiose and crazy as to encapsulate the bizarre behavior that just took place? It was hysterical.
Liv Tyler interview
Tyler guests on Chelsea Lately to promote her HBO series The Leftovers. The actress also tells Handler how she and her father Steven Tyler share a lot of clothes, and how he frequently wears leopard underwear.
So funny. He wears leopard underwear all the time… My dad’s trousers are pretty tight, I think.
‘True genius’
Lopez posts a tribute to her Jackco-star on Instagram:
Sad, sad, day… My condolences to Robin’s family & friends. He brought light to every room he entered & was a true comedic genius. The world will miss you, Robin! #RIPRW
Signs with WWE
Steen officially announces signing with WWE.
I went to the tryout camp and I got through it, and what made me stand out were the promos, where we basically had to sell ourselves verbally. That’s always been one of my strong suits — the way I talk and what I say. I make it count, and I think that went pretty far in getting me to where I am now.
‘He made my dreams come true’
Affleck thanks Williams for his friendship and his role in Goodwill Hunting, which won Affleck and Matt Damon the Academy Award for Best Writing and launched their film careers:
Heartbroken. Thanks chief—for your friendship and for what you gave the world. Robin had a ton of love in him. He personally did so much for so many people. He made Matt and my dreams come true.
What do you owe a guy who does that? Everything.
May you find peace my friend. #RobinWilliams
‘Brilliant human being’
Bridges reacts to the news of Williams’s death, which he received on premiere night for The Giver at Manhattan’s Zigfield Theater:
(Tonight is) wonderful, but like many elements in life, there is an underside, losing a dear, dear friend, Robin Williams. Such a brilliant human being. Gosh, I know we all miss him, and my heart goes out to his family.
On his role in the film, based on Lois Lowry’s dystopian novel about a future where human feelings no longer exist:
I’m filled with such mixed emotions tonight. I’m playing the Giver, I’m supposed to withhold all these emotions in the story you’re about to see, and it’s very difficult for me to be here holding the emotions I’m feeling tonight.
Radioman sighting
Bridges reminisces on working with Williams after sighting New York character Radioman, who resembles Williams—and is said to have been the inspiration for his character in The Fisher King—at the film party for The Giver at the Central Park Boathouse:
I remember pulling up to the Boathouse where we had our party and I’m sitting there with my wife, gathering myself and I look out of the window and I say, what? Is that Robin? Is that his ghost? No! It’s Radioman. And it brought back all of these wonderful feelings of what an amazing time we had together here in New York shooting The Fisher King. And I got out of the car and embraced Radioman, looked in his face. And I remember when we were shooting Fisher King—Radioman, he knows where all the movies are shot somehow, I don’t know how he magically does that. But, I remember seeing Radioman and he could not believe that Robin’s character was here in the flesh in reality. And there he was. And so we embraced Radioman, I felt Robin’s spirit as I’m feeling it here now in this room with us.
‘No words strong enough’
Williams’s youngest son, Cody, shares his feelings on the loss of his father:
There are no words strong enough to describe the love and respect I have for my father. The world will never be the same without him. I will miss him and take him with me everywhere I go for the rest of my life, and will look forward, forever, to the moment when I get to see him again.
