King’s Quest Chapter 1
King’s Quest brings back the adventure game series created by Williams. Published under the old Sierra name, this revival by developer The Odd Gentlemen takes the form of an episodic adventure game.
Today marks the release of King’s Quest: A Knight to Remember, but considering it’s been 17 years since the launch of the last game in this classic adventure series, there’s a good chance that a few actual grown adults out there have no familiarity with the adventures of King Graham and his family.
Isis-free zone
Turkey and the US have agreed on the outlines of a plan to drive Islamic State out of a strip of land along the Turkish-Syrian border, in a landmark deal that will draw Turkey further into Syria’s civil war and looks likely to increase the intensity of the U.S. air war against Isis. The YPG accuses Turkey of targeting its fighters inside Syria as they laid siege to Isis-held positions close to another key border crossing, the town of Jarabulus.
N++ release
N++, a fast-paced, physics-based platformer starring a ninja, is released by Metanet Software Inc, The game took 11 years to make.

Stock markets slide
Turmoil returns to the Chinese stock market as shares suffer their worst fall in eight years, knocking commodity prices and fuelling jitters among investors in London. The Shanghai Composite Index drops 8.5% at 3725.56 – its worst fall since 2007.
Told to ‘take a nap’
Delevigne has a bad interview with Good Day Sacramento. While discussing her role in Paper Towns, she sarcastically answers the news anchors’ questions. Asked if she read the book:

Lip Sync Battle
Cruise participates in a Lip Sync Battle against Fallon, on the Tonight Show. Cruise lip syncs The Weeknd’s Can’t Feel My Face and Meatloaf’s Paradise by the Dashboard Light, ending his performance with a 360 degree turn. Fallon sings the Rolling Stones, Undercover of the Night and You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’. When Cruise appears to reprise his Risky Business moves, Fallon says:
Please do not do that. That would not be fair!
Sentenced
Gaddafi is sentenced to death by a court in Tripoli, with eight other figures from former dictatorship in a mass trial of former regime figures widely criticised by human rights groups and observers. Saif’s ICC-appointed lawyer, Jones, condemns the trial process:
It’s a complete show trial, a farce. This trial is effectively being run by Libya Dawn militias.
Saif is being held in Zintan since he was caught trying to flee Libya in the aftermath.

Thailand human trafficking criticized
Thailand continues to be blacklisted in the U.S. State Department’s annual Trafficking in Persons report for consecutive second time for not combatting modern-day slavery. This comes after the country presses charges against more than 100 people, including an army general, on counts of human trafficking after dozens of bodies were found in a jungle prison camp earlier this year.
Thailand investigated and prosecuted some cases against corrupt officials involved in trafficking, but trafficking-related corruption continued to impede progress. Relevant agencies have intensified their efforts, which led to the crackdowns of trafficking syndicates as well as many arrests and punishments of high-ranking officials complicit in human trafficking.

Removes lifted jokes
Twitter has begun to honour takedown requests from users complaining their jokes have been lifted wholesale and shared by others, passing them off as their own. One freelance writer:
I simply explained to Twitter that as a freelance writer I make my living writing jokes (and I use some of my tweets to test out jokes in my other writing). I then explained that as such, the jokes are my intellectual property, and that the users in question did not have my permission to repost them without giving me credit.

Authorities hunt lion killer
Zimbabwean authorities are trying to find the hunter who killed Cecil. The 13-year old lion was found headless after being shot with a bow and arrow. Hunters then tracked the dying animal for 40 hours before they killed it with a rifle. Bait, in the form of a freshly killed animal, was used to tempt Cecil out of the park, a technique commonly used so that hunters can “legally” kill protected lions.
Cecil’s death is a tragedy, not only because he was a symbol of Zimbabwe but because now we have to give up for dead his six cubs, as a new male won’t allow them to live so as to encourage Cecil’s three females to mate. The two people who accompanied the hunter have been arrested but we haven’t yet tracked down the hunter, who is Spanish.
Three terrorists killed
Pubjab Police shoot and kill three heavily armed terrorists in the dawn-to-dusk offensive at Dinanagar after they arrive from Pakistan late in the night. The terrorists plant five improvised explosive devices on a railway track before getting in the police station. Director General of Police Saini:
The Union government had also offered to move in National Security Guards (NSG) but Punjab Police wanted to prove that they had the expertise to handle any situation. All the officers taking part in this operation were battle-hardened soldiers of the state’s fight against terrorism. We are grateful for the army’s assistance, though.

Stand For Reality ad
Clinton unveils her some of her climate change agenda, along with a video titled, Stand for Reality. In the video she talks over quotes about climate change by Jeb Bush, Rand Paul and Donald Trump.
