Today, there is one thing that I would like to share with you…Recently, as the result of one of my routine physical examinations, an issue was detected. Following a more detailed examination, a growth was found in my bile duct.In general, it is said that a bile duct growth can be difficult-to-treat, partly because of the difficulty of detecting it early. In my case, luckily, it was detected very early and I had no symptoms. I was counseled that removal at an early stage would be the desirable medical option. Therefore I had surgery last week, and I came through it well, as predicted. I have already resumed my business by email and by other means, but it is anticipated that a little more time is needed for me to return to my regular work schedule. As a result, I have no choice but to miss the company’s very important activity, the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, to be held this month. As the president of the company, I regret that I cannot attend the meeting. However, I understand that I have to prioritize my medical treatment and to recover as soon as possible so that I will again be able to do my best to help the company to grow. Breaks leg on Star Wars set
While filming Star Wars: Episode VII, Harrison Ford breaks his leg in an incident involving the Millenium Falcon’s door. He is airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where he undergoes surgery. His publicist, Ina Treciokas, stated
His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly. He’s doing well and looks forward to returning to work.
The injury is not believed to set the movie back on its release date. Changes have been made to the filming schedule and various tweets by those involved with the production have stated that things continue on at a good pace.
Pledges $50m to teach girls to code
Google pledges $50 million over the next three years into its Made With Code effort. The Company hopes to connect more girls to CS courses available through Khan Academy or Code academy. Susan Wojcicki, the CEO of YouTube says that less than 1% of high school girls expressed an interest in majoring in computer science.
Coding isn’t just a skill useful for working at a tech company; engineering isn’t just for engineers. Interior design. Medicine. Architecture. Music. No matter what a girl dreams of doing, learning how to code will help her get there.
Son dies in hot car
According to police, Harris stops for breakfast at a fast-food restaurant and afterward straps his 22-month-old son, Cooper, into a rear-facing child restraint seat on his SUV’s back seat. He drives the Home Depot corporate office where he works as a web designer. Instead of taking his son to on-site day-care, as he would usually do, he leaves Cooper in the car seat.
He returns to the car during his lunchbreak, opening the driver’s side door to put something inside, but fails to notice Cooper.
After work, around 4:16 p.m., he drove away from work. A few miles away, he stops the car at a shopping center and calls for help. Witnesses tell police they heard “squealing tires, and the vehicle came to a stop,” Harris got out of the car yelling,
Oh, my God, what have I done?
According to police, Harris stood there with a blank look on his face. When a witness told Harris his son needed CPR, Harris went to the other side of his vehicle and made a phone call, apparently to tell someone his son was dead, a witness told police.
Harris does not call 911, and when an officer tells him to get off his phone, he refuses and says, “F*** you” before an officer takes his phone and handcuffs him. Harris tells police he can’t reach anyone on his telephone, but phone records show that Harris made three calls after he discovered his son’s body, one between him and his employer lasted six minutes. However another witness says :
He was crying. He was hollering. Oh, my God! Oh, my God, my son is dead!”
