I just thought it was an amazingly written song. It was something that everybody can connect with because so many people out there have lost somebody. And their connection with them was, they used to have a beer in a bar with them, or have a beer anywhere with them. Drinking a beer with a friend is a huge connection, and that song bridges all those emotions together. Like I said, it’s one of the coolest sad songs I’ve ever heard.

Bieber releases his single, Heartbreaker. It is suspected that the song is about Bieber’s ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez. Gomez:

Lloyd releases single I Wish. The single is a collaboration with producers Shellback, Ilya and OZGO. I Wish also features rapper T.I.
I think any other person wouldn’t have had the same sort of impact as T.I. I think T.I. not only listens to it and then writes a verse about money, cars and bitches, he actually, you know, goes along with the story … He just fits it really well. And he’s not aggressive. He’s just really nice. He’s just T.I.!

I reached out to 2 Chainz, because I’m a big 2 Chainz fan and I think Kendrick is amazing. So the funny thing was, my management sent it to Kendrick while I had sent it 2 Chainz. So I already had a 2 Chainz version and then suddenly we hear that Kendrick loves the record and already recorded a verse. And I was like, ‘Oh my god, this is incredible.’ So they’re both on the song now, because it’s just too good.
Wrecking Ball
Cyrus releases the single, Wrecking Ball, from her album, Bangerz. The video is directed by Terry Richardson and shows Cyrus naked, sitting on a fake wrecking ball.
I think the video is much more, if people get past the point that I’m naked and you actually look at me you can tell that I actually look more broken then even the song sounds. The song is a pop ballad. It’s one of these songs that everyone is going to relate to, everyone has felt that feeling at one point.
Love Runs Out
One Republic releases the single, Love Runs Out, from their album, Native.Tedder:
The very short back story on the song was when we were working on Native I originally thought this was going to be the first single and it’s called Love Runs Out and I wanted it to be the first single, a few of us in the band did, but I could not finish the chorus. And you can’t have a song without a chorus.
It took me about a year,We finished it in Paris.

We were so badly burned by (The Wire) that song. We recorded it five or six times before, and hated it. One little sound can make it so f-cking cheesy.
